I am so sorry this hotel sold. Ever since it did, it has spiraled downward at an astonishing rate. We made reservations and still were forced to stand in line. They open at 5, which...they were always open before during the day, so my handicapped husband stood in pain for some time waiting to be seated, while they took folks with no reservation ahead of us. The seating was dismal, seated us in a corner, with me facing only a tiny sliver of ocean. Then basically forgot about us. My husband ordered the salmon on pasta, and he asks if the salmon can be blackened. She says that she will have to ask the "chef" (I'd say Mcdonald's line cook but that would make a Mcdonald's line cooks look bad.) She never returns. We wonder what his food will be. I ordered the rib eye, though I would have rather had a filet. They no longer serve filet, unfortunately. I also ordered a cup of onion soup. That was one of their best items in the past. We wanted to order an appetizer, but literally everything was was seafood and I'm allergic to seafood. I know it is the coast, but since when we ask if they are local catches, we were told no, does it matter if you bring in a steak or a salmon? Anyway, the soup came, and it was completely tasteless. It didn't even taste like beef broth, it was ....like water. No flavor at all. I set it aside. Dinners came, she said that yes, the chef blackened the salmon. No, he threw a LITTLE pepper on top but it was not fried or blackened. When my husband attempted the pasta, he made a horrible face. Now my husband will eat nearly anything. But this really affected him. I said, "What's wrong?" He said, "Try it, it is SWEET." It was sickingly sweet. Too strong for salmon, which is delicate. He said the salmon was very dry as well. They did give him pasta with a blue cheese topping in exchange but the salmon had been eaten and we were to dessert before it came. My steak was ordered BLUE RARE. It came out medium/well done. The potato was edible, but they put the fixings on and the butter on the side, so I had to remove the sour cream and other toppings to put the butter on the potatoe. The asparagus was okay, but zero seasoning. Bland. The steak was not only way overcooked, but it was impossible to cut. My husband could HEAR me trying to saw through it. We ordered (like fools) a creme brulee, and she returned to tell us they didn't have any but the good news was they would buy us dessert. We asked for pecan pie. I think it came from Safeway. Tiny piece, I mean tiny....about 1/2 inch tall. You would think I would learn right? But there is literally nowhere to eat breakfast in town, so we had no choice. But how can you mess up breakfast. We arrive, wait in line. The entire top is empty so they are not brimming with guests. We wait and wait. The lady in front of me says she has been there 15 minutes. Sigh. They seat them, and then bring them back up as they don't like the seating...it was our seat from last night. There are tables open, but not cleared, so she suggests they clear tables. They seat us where we were last night. The hostess asks if we want coffee, husband does, I wanted a soda. She does not ask if I want something else. Waitress comes by and does not ask if I want a drink, asks for our order. I order eggs benedict and she questions as to if I want seafood on it....I'm allergic, and the one with seafood has that information in its name. I inform her I want a regular benedict. Then I ask if it comes with anything as the menu does not indicate that it does. Yes, hashbrowns. Awesome. I order a pepsi. She nods. My husband orders french toast, the regular kind (they do one with CORN FLAKES ON IT? This is a resort, not a diner.) and bacon on the side, crispy. We wait and wait and wait. She chats and chats with guests about her life. No soda. She offers to-go boxes. No soda. Finally, the breakfast comes out, still no soda. I ask for it she says Ohhhhhhhh that's right. The bacon is on MY plate, my husband has his french toast which he says was probably made with egg whites as there is ZERO TASTE. He asks "how do they do that, remove all flavor?" I say, "That's how my food was last night!" I taste mine. There is again, ZERO FLAVOR. The hashbrowns are cold, stone cold. I choke down half to keep off starvation. The waitress took the coke and coffee off the bill for being late. Honestly, the only thing I wanted to pay for was the coke and coffee. Sigh. Never again. It's a shame. I remember when the restaurant was bustling with people and you had to wait because it was busy, not because they were just slow and disinterested in their jobs. Portland owner....I can only imagine how many more hotels he will purchase and ruin on the Oregon coast this decade. Sad really. Beautiful view...but the food, overpriced, tasteless, and without merit.

    Tuna poke

Great food, great service great ambiance and great ocean view. I love this resort, spendy for lodging and food, but worth it. We got two appetizers salmon dip and the tuna poke. Entrees Ihad the rib eye, my partner had the Cobb. The rib eye with loaded baked potato was overcooked from the desired medium rare, but was still delicious. Loaded baked potato and asparagus were amazing. Yes, I will be back. Waiter was fast, friendly and efficient.

For dessert, we went with our waiter's second favorite recommendation--the New York cheesecake. Visually, it was a lovely presentation: topped with a whipped cream swirl and a vibrant strawberry compote. The texture leaned more on the fluffy side rather than dense and creamy, which some might love, but felt a little unexpected for a traditional New York style. The graham cracker crust was tasty and had great flavor--but we wished there was a bit more of it for that satisfying bite-to-crust balance. Overall, it wasn't a standout --more of a "just okay" finish. That said, if you like your cheesecake lighter and fruit-forward, it might be right up your alley.

August's and the Adobe's rules tried to suck the joy out of a sunny day at the beach, nevertheless, we persisted. Great Shrimp and Chips. Staff shortages. Be forewarned.

If you want to go to a place with a view, this is a 10! Food options for breakfast were limited and were overall, about a 6/7. Service was good but there was only one server who doubled as the waitress and bartender/barista so when it got a little busier, she was unable to be as attentive. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with the Adobe Crab Cake. Hollandaise sauce was served on the side at the suggestion of the chef so as not to make the crab cakes soggy. One egg was poached perfectly, the other was overcooked. Potato crisps were tasty. Food portions were definitely plentiful!

So I read the reviews before hand and judged the entire building harshly. Wade was my server that night. He was a really cool dude, a vet of the place. Let's start with the food. French onion dip... amazing. Hard to mess that up. Shrimp and grits were surprisingly... probably a 8.5/10. The chef just knows what works in this case. I love the mild spicy finish, great flavor with the sauce.. and jalapeños. The ingredients are a perfect complement for the dish. My wife had a steak, the steak was cooked very well; and yet still it wasn't ruined, the blue cheese sauce was GOOD. I'm sorry adobe. I came in being a party pooper honestly. I'm happy that we chose to eat and stay here. Nice hidden gem.

My food was delicious: I ordered sole with caper cream sauce. This was a generous portion of 2 filets and accompanied by rice pilaf and string beans. Very tasty and very filling. I had to try their cocktail as well: rain drop: a Marion berry with vodka and rosemary concoction that not only tasted great but looked amazing as well. Our table was in the lounge instead of the restaurant because they had a window seat available and watching the waves while eating dinner is just awesome. I am subtracting a star for having to make reservations but not actually having a table in the restaurant available.... . Our server was attentive and nice.

We had our wedding here!! It was perfect Samantha made sure I had everything I needed and Chef Christian went out of his way to make sure the buffet was amazing!!

    Dirty laundry in hallways

Don't stay here. Significant safety and cleanliness issues. Phone didn't work in the room, shower head had massive gap from the wall to the actual piece, "queen size bed" is a full, no cable connection, no internet connection, and rude staff. Called once to confirm reservation and the front desk person answered "hello" and when I asked if it was the adobe she responded "ya what do you need?" So sad this place used to be a gem on the coast, it's a rock in the dirt at best now. Never returning.

I arrived to stay at the Adobe Resort after a long day driving and was excited to see that there was a restaurant attached to the lodging. The location and proximity to our overnight accommodations was the first plus. When we went down to check out the lounge, the view was a second plus...incredible view of the coast line. If you're not eating, at least grab a drink and enjoy the view! I have a gluten allergy. Adobe offers spaghetti squash as a gluten free alternative on the menu, but it wasn't what I was in the mood for. I talked to our server (Bess, I believe) about my concerns and she answered all my questions and helped me decide on a potato and vegetables. I do wish there was more GF options, but I understand it is difficult to add allergen friendly options to the menu- the noodle alternative was a great start! I appreciate the server and kitchen's knowledge and was thankful to have some allergy safe options. My travel buddy got a burger with fries and enjoyed it! Our server continuously impressed us so much that it was a point of conversation (Bess is putting in the work and doing so with grace!!). Overall, great experience. Food was good, view was incredible, and server was very aware of food preparation and allergies, and was very attentive!

This was our first time in Yachats & this hotel restaurant. We didn't know what to expect, but everything surpassed our expectations! The food was delicious. We started with Brussels sprouts (best we had or top 2). My husband loved the steak which was cooked perfectly & the sides were delicious. I enjoyed the crab that paired great with garlic fries & asparagus. The place was busy for dinner, but we were still checked in on. We felt welcomed, cared too, and left feeling full & satisfied. And to top it off the views from this place is gorgeous. Thank you!

Besides the view the food is exceptionally fresh and delicious, I ordered the New Seafood platter so I could try a lot of different items on the menu. The chilled Dungeness crab was very good and tasty. No need to add anything! The fresh shucked oysters were tasty and fresh and clean. The crab dip was exceptionally good with chucks of crab meat to eat with the fried won ton chips & crackers. The ceviche was okay and also the spicy shrimp salad. The clam chowder was very good and flavorful and it was okay on the thicker side, came out nice and hot not warm. My wife had the Halibut & garlic fries which the French fries were very tasty and crispy and the halibut was great with a lightly breaded batter. Service was great and waiter was friendly Restroom they have 1 on the 1st floor and another one on the 2nd floor to be shared by both men & women. Restroom was clean only thing with the amount of customers they can accommodate you most likely have to wait to use the restroom. We tried the straberry/watermelon salad to start, and that was absolutely delicious. I had the filet mingon for dinner and that was well prepared. We thought it was great. The only odd thing was the waiter never cleared any of our dirty dishes. So our salad plate sat in the middle of table for the entire meal, which was kinda strange.

My brother-in-law ordered the Christmas special -- the prime rib -- and wow. It looked incredible and tasted even better. You could tell they really put care into that dish. The ambiance was just right -- dimly lit, cozy, great vibes, and even though it was nighttime, you could still enjoy the ocean view. It felt special without being stuffy.
