I have been trying to resolve an issue that has cause a 15 point drop ‼ to my credit score!! imagine-just because they refuse to let me pay the bill they say I owe from 2023 ! I was never aware of said bill, I never called them to see my horse as I have my own Vet I use. and I was living in Me ico full time back then! I have offered to pay this $580.00 Bill and they refuse and say I must pay collectors!! which will show I settled with the coll company and will further affect my credit report! All my questions and concerns were addressed during the appointment and even afterwards with follow up emails and when I received check in calls to ensure my dog was doing well. This is a very long story that started several years ago with our boxer beagle. Our experience with Adobe is that they tend to over medicate pets that are in distress, which accelerates their demise. This appears to be consistent with the other posts that we have read in which business profits overtake best practices. The "upsell" or last minute charges. Do not allow them to biopsy anything at any time - it is not necessary!!! if you feel you have a cancerous animal, take them to an oncologist not to a horse doctor. Twice they have "recommeded" vaccinations for animals who are clearly at the end stages of life which we believe overloads their systems. This is happened twice now when we brought in our pets who are in distress and they prescribe medication's and vaccinations, and then they pass shortly thereafter. More recently, those morons prescribed gabapentin, which is not FDA approved for animal use. Our sweet girl walked in to Adobe and two days later, after following their instructions, she was unable to walk and has not walked since. All the symptoms that we found online for pets who are given gabapentin our little girl has experienced. Literally all of them. Wonder who's getting a payday from the big Pharma?! What kind of quacks are these people? We also mirror the commentary regarding the reception and call-in staff when attempting to schedule an appointment. Apparently customer service 101 is not enforced at Adobe veterinary clinic. Rudeness rules the day. Buyer beware, but we would strongly recommend that you find veterinary services elsewhere. If they would allow Zero stars, Adobe would qualify. They have killed our last pet for the last time. Update: Our sweet girl passed away at home on 08/28/2024. It was 12 days from visit to passing. My review focuses on the large animal/horse ambulatory services. We adopted two foals in early January 2024, and the team has been out countless times to help these babies regain their condition and health. It's been a long journey, but working mainly with Dr. Marner (with Dr. Edge and Dr. Hood also coming out) has been wonderful. Handling foals can be stressful and unpredictable (sorry about the cow kicks!), but knowing I can call or email them and get a prompt response is incredibly reassuring. When one of them showed signs of colic, they had someone out to us within 20 minutes! (Thankfully false alarm.) On some occasions, I've emailed, and Dr. Marner has responded the same day, even after hours. This level of commitment and care is truly exceptional. I've never felt pressured into unnecessary tests or services. I always felt we were aligned in ensuring these babies have a chance at a good life. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the immense stress that veterinarians, vet techs, and even front desk staff at animal care facilities must endure. Most people may never fully understand the daily challenges they face. I can't imagine how mentally exhausting a single shift must be. As pet and animal owners, it's crucial that we set our dedicated professionals up for success, as it benefits both us and our pets in case of future emergencies. If you're new to the area or have a new pet - establish care even if your pet/animal does not need anything! Vaccinate! Be nice! I gave three stars because of business practice. Clinically, they are great. The staff are nice. My pets are comfortable there. They seem to be booked for appointments several weeks out. Always. If you have a pressing but not emergent concern, they will tell you you can call back in the morning for a work in appointment at an extra $30 charge for urgent care. We have been going to Adobe for six years, it is always like this. I can see an urgent care charge for a snake bite or other life threatening emergency, but as a business they should be reserving x-number of visit slots per day for call in appointments for visits that are not routine wellness or maintenance exams. Clearly, the current business practice of up-charging same day visits is a money grab. They will tell you to, alternatively, schedule for 'a few days out' a concerning issue but they are always booked 'to the end of next month, but you can call tomorrow for an urgent care appointment'. Thus, we have located another vet who does not extort clients and is able to get same day appointments and who has five stars on Yelp. read more

Called this morning to get my 21-year-old 8 pound dog in who has a paw injury. Not only did they say that they weren't taking appointments for another eight weeks but they said they " would refuse a dog that is sensitive around new people"! She seemed to be some type of office manager, who got on the phone and was extremely rude and talked over me. We had her on speaker phone on our end and the other two people in the room could not even believe how rude she was. My dog is 21 years old. Of course he's going to be sensitive around new people, but they're a VETERINARIAN! They handle horses! Yet they refused my 21-year-old 8 pound dog? I was really shocked. The quality of care for our pets is outstanding. My 11-year old Lab had to have multiple growths and masses surgically removed, including 3 on his eyelids. Dr. Dooley and the team at Adobe Vet Center did a great job and cleaned up some smaller growths we had not originally targeted, and with all of that, they completed all the work under the estimated cost. The only reason this is not a 5-star review is that the office staff seems to be very confused. The appointment time kept being changed every time I talked to them, or they called me, including the day before the surgery. I got many calls, texts, and emails all requesting me to reconfirm, and no matter how many times I reconfirmed, I got another request the next day. The paperwork kept changing and each change had multiple new errors. I've been a customer for 13 years with multiple dogs. The quality of care has always been superb, but the office staff seems to have gone downhill over the last year or two. read more

When I moved to Tucson a year ago Adobe wasn't taking new small animal clients so I had to go elsewhere. The first clinic I went to was constantly upselling me on procedures and misdiagnosed both my dogs. Almost a year later I was able to become a client at Adobe and what a difference. Awesome, knowledgeable vets and they are fine with conservative treatments. They have properly diagnose my pups and provided what treatment they can but both now have issues that cant be successfully be treated. Adobe will help manage my pups issues and I am so glad they are under Adobes care. You may have to wait to become an Adobe client but it well worth it. read more

I found myself visiting the Adobe Veterinary Center, knowing that there was not a great chance much could be done as my cat was in failing health. The staff was all incredibly caring and gracious with me, as I realized the time had come to put my cat to sleep. I was able to get a Saturday appointment and be seen the same day. Which I realize is not the ordinary as I was calling around trying to establish care and my friend highly recommended Adobe Veterinary Center. Certainly, I wished I had sought treatment sooner, and perhaps would have had a better outcome. I was rudely told they would not be making any appointments for me since my cat passed away and I did not let them know and now they no longer consider me a client. So disappointing on so many levels. First and foremost, front office team members, are beyond rude and completely unaware of how to do their job. Vet Techs are fine, only met a vet once out of two appointments, however the last experience will be just that, the last. We boarded our dog overnight at Adobe in their highest category suite. My spouse and I were told--both separately and independently--by management and two different staff members that we could pick up our pet by 4:30pm without incurring an extra charge since he was booked into their "luxury suite." When we picked up our dog at about 3:30pm we were surprised to be charged for an additional night. The management and staff then denied they ever said we could arrive after their normal pick-up time without an extra overnight charge. When we stated what we were told, the response of the manager, Emily, was to rudely and insistently talk over us. The staff response was both very rude and arrogant. To top it off, our dog developed diarrhea after only a one-night stay and eating his own food that we supplied! It took a week and a call to the vet before our dog recovered from the Adobe experience. With a pretense of a superior standard of care, Adobe misrepresents their costs with surprise up-charges upon pick-up. In addition to their questionable business practices, the management and staff are arrogant and very rude in response to any questioning by the customer. There is something seriously wrong with the management of this facility. read more

Our dogs stayed here for 7 days a week ago. One ended up with diarrhea and vomitting which is just now clearing up. The other got a foot infection because they let her step in cleaner and lay wet for hours in her kennel. When we picked them up, my full coated, 13 1/2 year old Mini Aussie was soaking wet, still dripping from her belly. When I asked why she was wet the tech said that she had bathed her. I asked what time she had bathed her and she told me 8am,,,, it was now 10:30am. I asked why she was left wet for 2 1/2 hours and she said well I dried her with a towel. I questioned why she wasn't dried with a blow dryer and she said they had one but she didn't use it. Why, why would the let a dog of this type lay wet in a kennel for that long. If we hadn't have picked them up in the morning would she have been left to lay in there wet for several more hours???? She got infected feet half way through her stay which they put her on antibiotics for, and according to my vet was the wrong dose. But they claim that it wasn't from anything they did and was "PROBABLY" from the meds that she was on prior to coming in to the facility. Her feet were in perfect health when she was dropped off. I'm a groomer and made sure they were clean and I checked their feet before dropping them off. I had to take the dogs to my business to bathe and dry them before taking them home at which time I looked at Bree's feet and they were very red. upon getting home, she could barely walk. I looked closer and there were blisters between the toes. My vet had me come right in and he said it was from something topical like a cleaner of some sort. I called to talk to a manager and of course wasn't allowed to and it took 4 days for someone to finally get back to me and then she didn't take any responsibility for Bree's feet whatsoever. She said that they didn't do anything wrong and leaving them wet is typical to what they do. That putting them out in the yard usually drys them but apparently she didn't dry all the way. She said that dogs get in the little pools that they put out and get put back in their kennels wet all the time without issue. Well not this 13 1/2 year old dog. That way of doing things is BS! They should all be dried!!! She refused to refund the vet services that they provided for her feet and the vet bill that I acquired after picking them up. My dog has suffered for a week now and they are just now getting better. Don't take your pets here! I used to trust them and used to recommend them to all my clients but not anymore! I have used the vets from both the small animal section and the large animal. The staff is rude and incompetent. I have a 3 strikes your out policy. My dog was miss diagnosed with seizures and was put on medication that was not needed and he became very lethargic. The vet said it was a side affect and we had to deal. He never had a seizure he had a vestibular episode. The large animal vet would not listen to the farrier we use who is one of the beat in the country and travels all over. She just said all horses should be shod the same. Finally I called for a large animal vet to come help with a horse who was colicing. I knew it was probably time to let him go, but they refused to help. My horse died in the trailer trying to get him to the surgical center. I would never use them! You have not seen one of our horses in over six years because you refused to help. My dog Chico may have been under my name or my moms. It was Dr Stofft. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. A total lack of common sense with binary, robotic answers. Citing "office policy" they would not accept my dog for boarding because his Bordetella vaccination was overdue by 9 days. Not 9 months or even 9 weeks. 9 days. Would be 14 days expired when checking in my dog. Trying to explain that I was more than willing to have the vaccination administered to my dog when he would be dropped off, coupled with the fact that he is an indoor dog with zero exposure to other dogs. I further explained that i would be flying out of town in 36 hours and that it would be impossible for me to drop off my dog for the vaccine prior to his boarding. The response remained the same: "sorry, office policy. Your dog must be vaccinated 72 hours before we can accept him." I was hung up on once because I asked to speak to a Vet. When I called back, the girl that answered the phone said that she was warned that I would yell at her. I must have violated the first caller's "safe space". Upset? Yes. Pin headed, lack of common sense measures will do that to a person. I was direct to be sure. Yelling however was not what was doing. I've asked to speak to the office manager. "I'll forward your message. Is there anything else I can do for you." Click. Yes, this time I hung up on the robot. If you want sound vets, I've never had an issue. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the people here. From the receptionist to the vet techs to the vets, they are all extremely caring and friendly. Your pet comes first, always. After Baxter's first round of puppy shots, he had a horrible allergic reaction. I talked to the receptionist who talked to the vet and called me back within 10 minutes and told me to immediately bring the dog in. We couldn't even put his harness on because he was in so much pain but when we walked in the door, they took him immediately without question (on a busy Saturday), gave him some Metacam, and sent a happy puppy home. He was feeling much better and they said if anything came up, to call or bring him in right away. They didn't charge me for the shot or the visit, they just really wanted him taken care of. They make every experience a pleasant one. They like to give the little guys cheese whiz or little treats to make the pets understand that the vet is a great place to come and now my puppy loves to say hi to all the people there! read more

She has even corresponded with me via email regarding the most affordable pharmacy to purchase Fluconazole for Duke's Valley Fever. Dr. Aimee Ratzlaff was fabulous with my vet-averse boxer. She gave Daisy time to adjust to the office. Her recommendations were helpful without being super aggressive and expensive. I was just in to see an Adobe vet with my dog who was about 24 hours past being bitten by a rattle snake. He had been a patient of this service for about two years and had been neutered their etc. I told them he was doing fine but perhaps needed an antibiotic or pain med. The receptionist said I should take him to a emergency vet. I explained that I had called he emergency vet last night and they said the charge would be $4500.00. I cannot afford that so followed him during the night and this morning he was doing fine but I thought he should at least be seen by a vet. The receptionist then evidently spoke to a vet who said that Adobe's charge would be the same to see him. This decision was made without looking at their patient to see what he needed or if at this point he even need the expensive anti venom shots. Please do not bring your pet here. The staff is incompetent and rude. They have no idea how to treat their customers/clients. The worst vet I have been to. I stopped bringing my cat here after far too many instances of them mishandling situations. First off, they could never even remember the gender of my cat. Secondly, as he was an older cat, he had a few medical/health issues. One vet tried to prescribe a sedative that he could not of had and would of killed him with his kidney condition. Horrible practice. They treated my cat horribly and even in front of me, I was honestly shocked with how they handled/treated/spoke to my cat. After I made it clear I was taking business elsewhere, they continued to call saying my cat was overdue for service. I had asked to be removed from their calling and emailing list. But they still called. Eventually he passed away about a year later due to old age and health issues, they continued to call and I had told them he was no longer with us. For six months, I continued to get emails about appointment reminders and how he was overdue for check ups. I called and called asking to not be reminded of his passing every time I check my email or my voicemail. Never once did they call back to my final (rather pointed) voicemail saying he had passed away and asked to not be contacted with this again. The final vet that he saw before he passed (Horizon Animal Hospital), handled things beautifully. I'm honestly so grateful they were the last people to take care of him, and not Above Vet Center. They loved him there at Horizon and treated him like he was the king coming to visit each time. They even sent me a letter in the mail and had everyone in their office sign and write what they loved most about my cat and that they were sorry for my loss. That is exactly how a vet should handle things. However, Adobe does not care about your pet and would never have done this or put in that kind of care. read more

I love my vet, says Uber! I am sure he is actually indifferent about his vet but I on the other hand love finding good care for myself and for my animals. Adobe provides care for all sorts of small and large domestic animals, dogs, cats, horses ETC. I have seen a few different Dr's all whom I have enjoyed. They send out reminders when your pet is due for shots. They also have emergency care, it's like one stop shopping. The staff is super friendly and the place is very clean. I can't say it is the least expensive place in Tucson but I can say that you get what you pay for. Another + is that they do a lot of lab work on site which saves a ton of money not having to ship it out. I heard about this place by word of more than one mouth and by golly they were all right! read more

Dr. Hans, Amber and the Adobe staff have been so kind and thorough with their work with my yorkie who recently had a mastectomy and several teeth extracted. Having a surgery for a pet is stressful and they or one of the wonderful techs are there to field any questions I may have via phone or email. Dr. Hans addressed my worry over anesthesia straight away and gave me options, and I appreciated that she really listened.
