Glad we found this place while in the area! Looks like a "hole in the wall" but it's so worth it. I tried the Gyro burger with a small greek salad. Burger was delicious. Salad was really good too but they overdid it with the cheese. My husband got the regular Gyro meal and loved it too. They have a huge array of desserts. I had a hard time choosing. Finally decided on the lemon poppyseed cheesecake - to-go because I was too full from my meal but really wanted to try dessert too. It was good, not amazing. Can't believe I've lived in Lawrenceville for nearly 3 years and today was only the first time I've been here. I've been driving past this place for quite awhile now and have been wanting to go in. Finally did today and it was well worth it. The food was fantastic and the prices were unbeatable. My wife and I both got the lamb gyro. The ingredients were very fresh and well prepared. On the way out we both got a dessert that was fantastic. I don't even know what each dessert was, but they were both phenomenal. I always recommend supporting local places if they provide any sort of quality product, and this is one of those. If you get the opportunity you should definitely drop in and try it. read more

Last night we placed an order through a delivery service because were were busy and could not get away. The food came in a timely manner but the order was not complete. Three items that we ordered were not there. When we called to ask for the rest of our order the woman rudely told us we had to come pick it up. My husband went to get the food. We both ordered salads with protein. His was twice the size of mine. We are very disappointed in the food and the service. I will give them another chance because we used to love the place. It pains me to write this review. I am not sure what happened here but the quality of the food significantly dropped. I haven't been back in a while and thought I'd test my luck once again but it missed the mark, again. Here's what I thought of the doner kebab: 1. The meat was dry and overly cooked so all you get is a desire for water. 2. The sauce, if you want to call it that, dries out quickly and tastes like sour cream with a twist. 3. Vegetables are soggy and not fresh at all 4. Bread is the only thing that makes it edible I also got fries with it as they were my favorite. Period. Unfortunately, they were soggy and overly salted/seasoned. I even got dessert, because again, they really delivered here, yet again the same trend: soggy, lacking flavor, tasting cheap. I've spent right under $20 for lunch getting all this so it isn't cheap either and it just missed on so many levels. I get it. Covid and all. This was true even before covid hit though. I used to go here all the time and loved it, now, I won't go back. This was my last, desperate attempt. The real highlight of this place, however, are their desserts. The 2 dollar slice of tiramisu was masterfully crafted. The cream was perfectly dense yet fluffy and the cake itself was not too sweet and deliciously complex. Even the chocolate powder on the bottom was artfully portioned and perfectly even. Wow. This place is truly a hidden gem near downtown Lawrenceville. My boyfriend works down the street and is considered a regular at Adriatic grill, so when I paid him a visit for lunch, we paid a visit. BOY was it good. And the atmosphere is so comforting and welcoming. The owners are great and very personal and funny. They really make sure you get great service! Yes, the menu is a bit overwhelming because they don't really describe what's what, but all you have to do is ask and they are happy to tell you what it is. (for instance, I had no idea what a Chevapi was) I would recommend asking what the daily special is and trying out everything on the menu! Also, all the desserts in the dessert case are housemade! Friendly service. Casual environment. Had the Chevapi, gyros, and two desserts. Food: Chevapi sandwich was super, super greasy. They toasted the breads on both sides with extra grease/lard. Then the meat inside (small sausages) were greasy as well but had a good flavor. Little to no veggies included (very thinly sliced and petite cuts of cucumbers and tomatoes, like two or three slices each and an inch or smaller in diameter with a thickness of about 2 centimeters). Wished they had some kind of sauce to go with it. Aside from the extra grease, the sandwich was good and fulfilling. The desserts were very good! Blueberry tiramisu and some kind of banana pastry. Very delicious and not overly sweet like American pastries and desserts which surprised me and made me love it even more. Service: It was slow and long. Only two workers (a cook and a cashier, they alternate and tag team both jobs). But they are very polite and professional when they take care of you. There were 4 other occupied tables when we got there. Some were already eating, some were still waiting for their food. It was about 40 minutes before we got our food. So we opted for desserts first while waiting for our food. Overall: I love exploring with my taste buds and am excited to try many more food items from this Mediterranean place. I really like this place. Food: 4.5 stars, ambience: 4 stars, cleanness: 5 stars, service & friendliness: 5 stars. First off, their doner rocks!! It's super addictive!! I was a dummy and didn't know what doner was until I ate one. Their doner is packed with lots of juicy and moist gyro meat, unlike lots of other places make their gyro wrap with a couple slices of dry meat. And the bread used for doner is also flavorful, tender and chewy bread. Altogether, that was a wonderful doner. The side salad was very fresh too. Doner/ salad combo was very satisfying :) And their bakery section is fun to browse around.... And I ended up buying 4 cakes of each kind. Everything was homemade taste in low sugar, and that hit my likings. All cakes are $2.50 each. Ambience is cool with a modern interior. The inside the store and bathroom are clean. I believe they have free wi-fi, and it's perfect to go with a nice cup of coffee and dessert. Getting in the parking lot during rush hour traffic can be a pain, but it is well worth the wait. The place has a decent interior and I wish they could switch the channel on the tv from their national entertainment channel; in other words it is annoying. Their is a long wait for the food because when I went their was only one cook on staff. I presume the cook that was on staff on my visit is the owner; he is a very very friendly person and happy to know that he cares about his customers. Now, this place has amazing gyros and decent french fries. When, I ordered I got the Doner Platter which comes with fries and the gyro stuffed in a Lepinja bread all for the price of $6.99. If you just want to get a gyro wrapped in pita bread you can get it for $4.99. There are two choices for meats that you can get, lamb & beef or chicken. I am starting this review by first stating that 1) I am not an expert in Mediterranean/Greek cuisine. And 2) I am not a big fan of any sort of heavy duty dairy. For instance, cheese and such. There is about 8 tables you can sit at and one table for outside. Like subway, you can order at the register and the menu is right above your head. I wish they would have a menu I can hold and look at since I am no expert in Mediterranean/Greek foods So it took me a while to decide. I end up just asking the boss/cashier guy what his recommendation is and he suggested the Doner. I went with that, and my meat of choice was Chicken. My guy friend ordered the Greek Burger. And then for desserts we ordered: - hazelnut cake - brick(sp?) cake I was disappointed that they ran out of the tiramisu, but since its a saturday and I stop by around 6ish in the evening they were bound to be out. This just means that they are very busy and desserts go fast on the weekends. Anyways, we apparently came by in a rush hour because they were pretty packed. We were lucky to grab the almost last table and the last couple of good desserts. Everything went fast here. Anyways, since its my first time having a Doner, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I can say that when it comes out, it was very big! The sandwich was as big as my face. The bread is not that soft, and there was a lot of cream in it. Light sour cream I believe. I thought the Greek burger was better. Overall, I am not a huge fan of the taste and texture of the Doner, but the desserts was what won me over. The hazelnut cake was not as soft as I would like it to be, it seems a little try. But the brick cake made it up. It was soft and juicy, almost like Tres Leches Cakes. It was very wet and there was cream in the cake. It made it extremely soft and delightful. Overall, I would come back again to try the Tiramisu and other desserts. I might try the other foods on the menu as well since this place's prices for their sandwiches and desserts as well is very affordable. A gyro starts at 4.99 and the Doner starts at 5.99. This place is Bosnian owned, not Greek owned so it does not have traditionally prepared gyros and salads. No taziki, no black olives...but knowing this might allow you to expect a different version. I love gyros and I have to say the meat here is one of the best. They take the beef/lamb meat and then grill the slices before serving it. This adds an additional texture and grilled flavor that I have not experienced. Unfortinately, it was not served with a taziki sauce. They only have a sour cream like yogurt which results in a bland flavor. We also ordered the Greek salad which was very large and fresh. It was served with mixed greens and a Greek dressing and shredded cheese. No crumbled feta or olives and very limited tomatoes or cucumbers. Very odd for a Greek salad so I would suggest them calling it something else to avoid disappointment. The burger stated it was angus but it had an odd flavor, texture, and really was not good. The fries were excellent. The owner seemed to know the regulars and was very welcoming to us new customers as well. read more

WORTH A TRY! This little restaurant is located right down the street from the Aurora Theater so it was the perfect choice for a quick bite to eat. It is located in a small strip next to a hair salon with convenient "at the door" parking. It is a simple restaurant with a simple decor and an open kitchen. After reviewing the menu, we decided to order gyros (lamb and beef) and french fries. Everything was prepared fresh and the gyros were fully dressed with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The fries were not crinkle fries but standard fries that were well seasoned and served hot. My husband added a green salad on the side. It was fresh and generously portioned with finely shredded feta. He especially liked the texture of the feta. Overall, the meal was okay but the meat could have been a better quality. After the meal, we decided to try some of their desserts. My husband chose a layered dessert with whipped cream and wafers and crushed pistachios. It was gross! It would have been better with less of the cream and more of the pistachios and the wafers should have been crisp instead of soft. I chose the cheesecake but felt compelled to remove the top and back which I have never done before. This was just a typical New York style cheesecake which I find a bit boring because I like a softer consistency. I write what I experience and nothing more. Food was beyond tasteless. I asked if they made anything from the scratch. Like themselves and the guy behind the counter says: " Are you crazy"? Do you know how long it would take to make this ourselves? So I wanted to give it a try anyways because a dear friend likes this place allot for some reason. So I ordered the Gyro wrap. Seriously when I got it and I took three bites and I still had no meat. So I opens it up and took it apart and there was only two stops if something that didn't even resemble to meat. So I took it back and showed it to the guy and he Coupe's and attitude so bad that he was speaking in Bosnian language. Unfortunately for him I understand most of what he said and it's not something I would want to repeat it here. So I left the food right at the counter and left. He would not even say he is sorry after I told him I understood what he said and that I would be writing a review. He shrug his shoulders and walked away. Every time I visit Adriatic Grill, my food is consistent. I typically order the gyro sandwich platter with french fries. The gyro is filled with seasoned meat and toppings that are proportionate to the soft pita bread. The fries are always hot and fresh. The customer service is great. I'm always greeted with a smile. I really wanted to give them a 5 star. Their food is good but don't expect good service, at least in busy hours. I went their last week at lunch hour with my wife and 1 year old son. Luckily we got a table and sat down first, decided on a menu item and waited on the line to order, only to find out that they are not taking anymore orders! They had open sign outside, when I got in the restaurant no one said anything about it. When I asked, is the kitchen closed? They said the same thing "not taking any more orders" in a monotonous tone. Anything I said they repeated the same thing! But the worst part is that the worker himself seemed frustrated and was looking for the owner (I know the owner from previous visit) to jump in but he kept pushing him to face his disappointed customers. A good owner takes care of their customers, at least in this case with good communication. His action seemed careless of his customers. I usually write a review about a restaurant after 2 or 3 visits. This was my second and probably the last. The first visit was in off hours and we had good time there. Even had a good conversation with the owner. But the second time was quite disappointing and unexpected. read more
