This was just so basic... and a" cut & dry" situation with a NATIONAL FRANCHISE that HAS to have standards and transparency in place. Please don't go here & waste your time, money, finances, & emotional energy. This took up my entire day dealing with this... recourse and all. We took my car to Pep Boys to get a battery yesterday. The AAA guy had JUST charged my battery & told us we could get a better battery from another vendor and MAX $$ with labor he said should cost @$350..probably less. He said he used to work at a dealership & and said don't go there (as we all know they tend to charge a huge premium). So... we went to Pep Boys AT: ***4960 Atlanta Highway, Alpharetta where Justin B. stood behind his computer (HINDSITE-- thinking how much can I gauge this woman..)and quoted $655.99 for the BATTERY itself (yes, story gets better). I said "WHAT???" He says to us "Well...I don't know where the AAA guy is getting his prices from.. things are a lot more expensive these days." ( VERY Ironically, two other family members had just gotten their batteries replaced.. for around $280 total..comparable vehicles at other places..but still) He then said "well I don't have it in stock, but I can get it for you tomorrow." I 'll just need your key AND FULL PAYMENT before you go b/c if you decide to go somewhere else we cannot use the battery." He tells me that with labor, the cost is $825.44. & wants my card. "What? $825.44? So, a 94R battery and install $825.44. ?". SO labor is $111.60 to replace a battery? "Yes" We even talked to him about trying to go somewhere else bc that was WAY WAY more than we could imagine a battery & intall like this should be..& of course the trust factor was close to zero at this point. I had a pit in my stomach. Just the principal of the matter & feeling victimized was enough to make me feel sick. We stepped outside and discussed among ourselves, but it was late day & cold and windy &while we tried calling some other vendors there were waits on the phone triage as with every place..& we were going to check out Autozone, a tires & battery store, etc.,.Yet something inside me also said "ok this is a National Franchise..& if this particular store & guy is totally deceiving me/us... then there should be some recourse. We went back in & said we were going to leave the car & he reached out for my credit card and charged me....$825.44... and I said this is crazy. As I stepped back to leave he yelled out ... "oh we typically just go ahead and replace BOTH batteries.. the dual batteries.. at the same time cause when you have a problem with one they usually go out at the same time... the stop start battery". Ok yes I was/am familiar with the Stop start.. but I thought to myself... I don't have my car set to use the stop start feature, so we didn't think this would be affected, but just for kicks ... I say "oh, so how much is THAT battery?" he says..."over $200.00". So at this point I think he was gathering I might not be quite as stupid as he thought I was & knowing I had witness to all of this. So I said.. "ok well would you please call us when the battery comes in bc I/we would like to see what you mean when you test the battery. "ok" he says. VM today 12:46PM from Justin that my car "does not hv the stop start battery... & that my car is ready." (He tried to...but) I called 4 other local Pep Boys this AM. They were all shocked. The battery is $279.95 and labor is $19.95 +/- two dollars. This is a very standard common battery. None charged upfront for this svc. No store charges to get this battery. Did massive research on this today. DO NOT GO TO THIS PEP BOYS. This world is corrupt. For any of you wondering if there is a God...and will we go to Heaven or Hell ... I am sure there is a GOD. I am sure there is a heaven and Hell. I also just read what is felt will be be a National Best Seller for any age, religion, etc. It will make you think twice about where you stand and what you represent in life. It was JUST released on Amazon. "Are the Gospels True: The Forensic Evidence". The book is phenomenal. It will really make one think about how he/she treats one another in this very short life. There are good people out there. You have to find them. Stick with the sheep and not the goats.

Previously I had bad experiences with other shops so I learned how to do my own work. This was the first mechanic I went to in over 15 years for anything outside of tires and alignments. I needed a clutch replacement for my 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. Something I've done before but an injury kept me from doing it myself. I did a lot of asking around in a number of online automotive groups, and the same name kept coming up. I also asked friends and the same name came up for my area. I gave them a visit, and liked what I saw enough to give them a shot. I was advised that they were booked up for the next few days, and to drop it off Sunday. This is what I did, filled out the night drop paperwork, and was on my way. Monday morning I received a call that they identified a second problem with my clutch assembly, something I completely overlooked! I authorized the repair. I got my car back SAME DAY. I'm not sure if it was Zach Rice that did the work or another tech, but to whomever did the work on my car, thank you! Very highly recommended for anything Subaru! I was a loyal customer for a number of years. Their whole process is kinda clonky and pre-21st…read morecentury ... they do have a web catalog and online order system, but it is useless for a couple of reasons: 1. They don't actually stock anything, all their website is is a catalogue of all the products any of their suppliers offer, and it has no idea what it in stock. 2. Because everything drop ships, they contact the individual suppliers before you pay and they ship, so it takes a couple of days and some emails or calls back and forth to get the order placed. I was happy to forgive this as I don't usually need stuff in a hurry. On one occasion two and a half years back a supplier messed up the shipping, and they dealt with it without a quibble, albeit (a) it did take 2 weeks, and (b) it didn't cost them anything. But this is not the reason for the bad review ..... Last week on Tue Mar 9th I discovered I didn't have car parts I thought I had in the house, and I needed to prep the car on Saturday to go to the track on Sunday. So I put an order for stock they did not have online that night :) and called them on Wed morning to ask what was in stock and to sort out overnight shipping. The clerk Jeremy did so, and they asked me to go online and pay for that separately. I was busy and did so late Wednesday, and they shipped thu and did indeed arrive Fri. The doublke payment process was inconvenient, but as long as I had them Sat I was good. I open up the box and find out they sent me the wrong thing, which was a big PITA but I ddid manage to score some gently used parts in Austin from a friend. I called S4S and asked them to refund the rush shipping, and figure out what they wanted me to do with the other pads. The clerk, Steve this time: 1. Kept trying to blame me for the mix up, telling me I had ordered the wrong thing 2. when I told him Jeremy made up the order and not me, he said it was my fault for not double checking the email invoice and fixing their mistake 3. He kept repeating like a drug induced mantra that "we'll rush you pads next week, no extra charge, and that makes up for it". Well, obviously not. I didn't pay rush shipping because I wanted them a week later and after I needed them, and having been forced to find an alternative to make up for their failure I don't need them at all. The owner refused to talk to me and wants to handle it using the PayPal dispute process.

This location has 20 pumps, four of which are diesel. The gas prices were competitive with Kroger (after Plus Card discount) and QuikTrip around the time I fueled up. Good gas prices. I used pump 17. I tried to get a receipt at the pump, but nothing came out. The guy at the pump next to me saw my Georgia Tech plate and asked me if I went to Tech. We had a brief chat about Tech, Emory, and jobs which adds nothing to this review, but I'm documenting it anyway. While they fall under the same company, the "Murphy Express" and "Murphy USA" brands are different. Murphy Express is the brand for the standalone gas stations with convenience stores. Murphy USA is the older, smaller, but more abundant brand of gas stations that do not have full-fledged convenience stores. Instead, they have kiosks similar to Kroger Fuel Centers. Most Murphy USAs are located next to a Walmart. This Murphy Express happens to be located near a Walmart too. I'd fill up here again if I was in the area and needed gas. There's a restroom here, but I'd only use it if it's an emergency.

I promptly went to this location because it was going to save me about $200 verses the dealership. Immediately, he treated me as if he didn't want to help. Muffling things like "oh my reader is saying I shouldn't touch your car" "the dealer is a criminal they want to steal your money, I've worked there before" "turn your car on and off, nothing is wrong with this battery" "there's too many warning codes" .... I had paperwork saying I needed a battery and it threatened my integrity. I grew up around the car business and this is NOT how you treat a customer that ultimately pays your bills. I am a young professional that takes exceptional care of my paid off well maintained vehicle. I felt discouraged, frustrated and unseen. He then told me "if I put the battery in, and you have to get it towed to the dealer don't blame me". Sir, what happened to you just saying you COULDN'T replace my battery? I feel almost profiled. As a woman, by herself I hope that he doesn't treat others this way as the face of Advance Auto Parts. I went to AutoZone and they felt SO embarrassed that I was treated this way at ANOTHER company, their competitor nonetheless that they gave me an extra 20% off and instantly put the battery in, took away the old one and even SHOOK MY HAND. I hope this is a learning lesson for associates at Advance Auto, I'll never come back.

The process took about two days to complete as my trade in was out of state and I needed some additional docs to comply with GA requirements. They made this my best car buying experience ever. Not my first time buying a luxury vehicle so I know what level of service to expect, but this was a whole another level of professionalism and customer care. Highly recommend.

She thought she was agreeing to lease a new car for $48k but they actually charged her about $56k for the car after all the hidden fees were discovered and she had a RENT RATE OF OVER $7k. They added a $699 paint protection film that she never received nor agreed to be added, a $1095 acquisition fee a $899 dealer fee, $994 upfront fees and $1298 sales tax/tavt fee. She gave $2500 in cash at signing and they did not apply this to cap cost reduction. We reached out to them regarding violating consumer protection laws and leasing laws and they refuse to admit any wrong doing.
