NAPA 3901 Williamsburg Rd, Richmond VA I needed 1 grease…read morefitting for a lawn mower. I was asked what size I needed, and I did not know but had the part that the fitting went into. The guy on the counter said they stocked individual grease fittings, but he had no way of measuring the hole to tell what size I needed. It would take him hours to try and look up all the fittings they had in stock to see if any of them would fit and he was not going to do that. The only thing he could do is sell me an assortment of fittings for $72.00 and most likely one of them would fit. He loudly told me all of the reasons why he was powerless to help me, I told him that I felt he could do better than that, so he took the part to his manager. He returned and said that the manager said I would need to go to the manufacturer of the lawn mower and there was nothing they could do. I then went to Pleasants Hardware. When I walked through the door a lady asked how she could help me, and I told her I needed a grease fitting. Before she could answer the lady with her back to me who was ringing up a customer yells out, all the way to the back of the store to aisle 16 on your left and they will be on your left part way down the aisle. Sure enough there was exactly what I needed for $5 and the total amount of time I was in the store was measured in minutes. I have managed parts and service locations for over 40 years, and I was completely blown away with the lack of customer service at this NAPA store. The guy on the counter was insolent, lazy and clearly not someone I would want working on one of my parts counters. Sadly, it gets worse as his manager agreed with him and put his blessing on sending me out the door as an unsatisfied customer. I would think that a grease fitting would certainly be more in line with a part you would expect to buy and an auto parts store, rather than a hardware store. But I have to admit that the lady at the hardware store with her back to me and without looking at the fitting was able to tell me exactly where it was located in the store. My chair was laid all the way back and they told me that they sat in the seat to look for my tire lock in my glove compartment, then stated that no one sat in the seat. I had a pair glasses in my passenger seat that one of their techs STOLE. The glasses were $100, however it was my hard earned money that paid for them. It's not about the price but more so the PRINCIPlE. The manager was the worst and I would NOT RECOMMEND this location or business to anyone. Please make sure to remove your items from your vehicle if you choose to visit them. The worst customer service EVER!!! Upon arriving you walk into a little trailer, where there were 3 young girls (not hot btw), that offered no assistance, and all seemed to just completely hate their jobs and know nothing about cars. Pay your 2 dollars and your in. The website claims they have 1200 cars onsite, this is complete and utter lie, there may be 200 max, and along the treeline is stacks of crushed cars. Are they counting the mountain of already processed/crushed cars as available parts cars? I don't know but still not even close to the claimed 1200. Over half of the cars are sitting flat in the dirt! Not set up on welded spares wheels, so if any of those cars you need suspension parts, transmission, diff, or access to anything under the car it isn't possible, and they won't pick it up, move it, or pull the part for you. What is the mindset behind this??? The cars in NO sort of ORDER What-so-ever! Every yard I have ever been to has some sort of field order, They are placed in designated sections of some sort like Imports, Domestic, Ford, Honda, Trucks, Vans, etc... This place, NOTHING, you have to walk the entire yard to see what they have! Luckily you can walk this entire dump with essentially no stock in about 4 minutes. You'll see a Saturn beside a Van, beside a Boat, beside an Oldsmobile. Makes no sense. The selection of cars is the worst I have ever seen. I needed some 98-2011 ranger and explorer parts. there were 3 squarebody rangers there from the early 80's, and that is it? Seriously? I suppose the other good junk yards buy all the usable cars and Pop's only gets the leftovers that no other yards wanted to buy. The ford ranger sold 100's of millions how in the heck does a junk yard not not have a single one, NOT 1???? I have been going to ChesterfieldAutoParts (CAP), my whole life, and they never have any less than a dozen rangers and a few dozen explorers. I did see a dozen Saturns. Who the heck still has a saturn let alone fixes those piles of junk. The plastic body panels explode into shattered bits in anytype of accident and they all just get totaled never fixed. Google pictures of saturn accidents, they are hilarious. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME going to POP's, what a waste of my time. They should just close the doors now and stop embarrassing themselves.

Called to make an appointment for service and warranty work. Appointment was a week out. no…read moreproblem. i dropped my truck off for the appointment. 2 days later i get the work order to approve to have the work done. i noticed a large service on the work order was on there twice but with a different code. i called to address this issue and to see what my warranty was going to cover. i was told they would get back to me. 3 days later i had to call them to get an update. wouldn't you know, they have done nothing. so after a week of waiting for my appointment and 5 days after dropping it off i never even received a correct work order to approve. This service department is a joke. i will never go back.
