At first I was really happy with the work. My car was rear ended. The sensors for the camera were damaged as well. The car came back great but about 6 months later there was an error message that my rear sensors weren't working. I took the car to the dealership and they said that whoever had done the work had used double sided tape to hold the sensors in place and as such they were literally falling off. Further, the mounts that were used to harness the bumper were also breaking. I went back to the shop twice and I was told both times to come back. I ended up having the dealership repair it where they bought all new parts. Could I have pushed and asked them to take a look, sure but as a past customer whose insurance paid them a favorable amount for the work and it was only 6 months ago, I don't feel that should have to beg. At least I know it will be fixed correctly and protected should something fail by the manufacturer. Disappointing to say the least. read more

I wish I could give 5 more stars. I had an accident recently, and after the police finished with their reports I managed to get my car to Advanced Auto Body. When I came in Bobby could see I wasn't doing well, so he told me to sit down, got me a bottle of water, and he went to work. I got my papers out, called Geico and at some point he spoke to Geico , arranged appointment for car inspection, arranged a car rental, and I was on my way. Turns out car was a total due bent frame (I think Bobby was more upset that me when he had to tell me.) these days it's rare to find someone as caring and willing to go that extra mile. This bodyshop is excellent in terms of service and quality. I had an emergency today, on a Saturday, when my daughter went up a curb and damaged the plastic shield under one of our cars, a car that she need to get to work on Monday. Bobby and one of his skilled repair guys did a quality repair right then and there so my kid could get to work! The skill, thought and trust is greatly appreciated. When it comes to choosing an auto body shop for repairs, Bobby Grau of Advanced Auto Body in Bellmore is simply "our one and only"! In my first 47 years of driving, I never had a need for any auto body shop. However, in the past 12 months, my family of five drivers has needed an auto body shop three times. Fortunately, we found Bobby the first time through the combination of a recommendation and my visiting several auto body shops. For each of the first two incidents - which were very low speed incidents handled outside of our insurance - we were wowed by the quality of the repairs done by Bobby and his staff, and pleased that the price was reasonable. The third incident resulted in our car being declared "totaled". Even though ultimately there was no repair work to be performed, we are so glad that we had it towed to Bobby. Bobby freely shared his knowledge, experience, and advice as to how we should proceed with respect to the claims process. This resulted in our being able to obtain a settlement that was sufficient in amount to cover the actual replacement cost for a vehicle with the same year, make, model, mileage, and pre-accident condition of our totaled vehicle. I had my windshield replaced on my 2014 Mazda6 here. Had to come back three times to fix water leaking into my car when it rained. Bobby (who I've worked with before) told me that he would even order a new window trim and glass, since re-inserting the glass should have solved it. Lo and behold, he lied- I came back, he told me he replaced the glass and trim. Neither was replaced! The window trim is bent out of shape and the glass still had Aquapel (rainX alternative) on it like the original. Definitely not recommended. read more

Advanced Auto, MORE then just your dime a dozen body repair shop on Long Island!!! Bobby Grau is a fantastic person and I can't say enough good things about him and his team at Advanced Auto. Loosing access to your vehicle can be stressful especially if you've been in an accident for the first time. Bobby knows the rights of the insured and works EXTREMELY well with the insurance companies. My insurance carrier covers a rental car. Bobby had the rental at his shop waiting for my wife and infant daughter. I've had 3 of my vehicles into his shop. Unfortunately one was a total loss but Bobby helped us feel at ease through the entire process. My convertible top was vandalized and his team did an EXCELLENT job fitting a new replacement clothe top. It looks just like it came from the dealer! My SUV was damaged in the 2011 hail storm and his team fixed the entire vehicle. The 2004 SUV looks like the day it rolled off the show room floor. My father brought 2 of his vehicles to Advanced Auto. He has to drive 15 miles but won't take his vehicles anywhere else. My coworker brought in her vehicle to Advanced Auto twice. The second time she drove from New Jersey for bumper repairs! My family knows if they're in an accident to call the Police, a family member, then Bobby Grau to be towed to Advanced Auto! My truck was unfortunately broken into on the driver side window, while I was at the gym. As you can imagine, I was upset to see my 3 month old car driver side window shattered. It was a terrible experience to go through to say the least.
