My cars window was smashed so I called Change to replace it. they were quick, scheduled fast, replaced, and left about a 1" gap in my window that I have to manually push in every time I close it. I was told this would break in. The guy who tinted my windows said I was misled. I tried calling back several times, assumed they were closed over the weekend. Tried calling back today to get it re-aligned. I scheduled an appointment for 4. 4:30, no one. I called them back and they said the technician called me. He didn't. They said he texted me. He didn't. I asked for a refund on the install so I could pay someone else to fix it (I'll pay for the glass) and was told they won't do refunds. Then I was told it's my fault for missing the appointment because I couldn't schedule the next day. So I gave up. If you want your windows done right, maybe call someone else. read more

Do Not have your vehicle repaired here.... the representative Michael has been pushing me off since 5/5/20 after finding the rear glass has a large water leak. Please look at photos.... The issue is still not resolved even after a failed attempt to repair their poor craftsmanship by the same technician. Leak is same or if not worse. Michael keeps telling me that they cannot send a trained technician because they are too busy. He even pushed to have the same technician to return for a third time to attempt to repair it after Michael himself told me he wouldn't trust that technician to work on his personal vehicle. Do not call this place. They charged me just shy of $600 to replace my front and back windshields and it leaked! The guy was really sweet and accommodating the day of the repair, but the moment I started asking questions he got short with me. When I picked up my car they were still finishing. Upon closer examination, the front windshield had its rubber sticking out. The back window didn't match the tint. 3 days later I took it through a car wash and it leaked like a faucet was turned on. I came back in person to show him all the wrong things and he insisted it was done properly and I had rust. Rust voids the warranty so it will be extra to fix. Don't go here. Ok.... My experience with Change Auto Glass was an interesting one. 5 stars for the impeccable tint job but taking 2 stars away for poor customer service and lack of communication... 3 star average I guess. I should actually take more away but the tint is so nice that I can't. I bought myself a new car over the weekend and wanted to get the windows tinted. My boyfriend was looking around at a bunch of places in our area and originally had scheduled a window tinting appointment somewhere else but that place was literally un-locatable so we decided to not go through with that one. He found Change on Yelp and called them right away... Around 7:30 am. A man answered quoted us $185 and said they can do the job, just bring it in... So we did. Dropped my car off at around 8:00 am, saw a girl named Liz who took my keys and wrote my phone number down with a dried out sharpie on a random piece of mail... Which I found to be very strange. No questions asked at all, no papers to sign... she just said 2-3 hours and it will be done. After we left, I wasn't feeling right so I called again to make sure that they were going to tint my windows the way I wanted them... 5% in the back, 35% in front. The girl Liz literally said "oh yeah that would have been good if I asked you that huh?" Smh... I told her what I wanted and again, was told 3 hours. I called Change around noon and spoke to the manager there who had absolutely no idea that my car was even there or waiting for a tint job! WTF! Yes I was livid! The manager told me my car should be done by 3:30... Keep in mind I was told it would take about 3 hours at 8 am. I headed over to Change at 3, and my car was just starting to be worked on. By this point my boiling point was out the roof and I was ready to burst. I had stuff I needed to do throughout the day and instead I spent all day stuck without my car and this place had no idea that it was even there! 4:30 rolls around and finally my car is ready to go. FINALLY. The man I was dealing with apologized up and down about the miscommunication and instead of the $200 total cost, he cut it to $160 out the door for my 7 windows. Plus they have a 3 year warranty on their tints. Not bad pricing at all, but unfortunately I got that price at the expense of the poor lack of communication from their staff. I could tell that he was genuinely sorry about what happened with my car though. I also noticed they have a $75 for $100 deal on yelp, so I was going to purchase that voucher BUT they told me that it doesn't apply to window tinting, just windshield replacement... No where on that voucher is that listed at all. I showed him the voucher and no where on it did it say for windshield replacement only... I told the man that they need to be specific and have the fine print on these vouchers because if I would have purchased it... I would have been out a nice $75. No bueno. I don't like giving bad reviews at all, but something really needs to be done about the communication issues with their front desk and technicians. And also, don't offer vouchers for customers to purchase if you won't honor them! I can't complain about what I paid or the job that was done... It's the sloppy service that I wasn't too happy with. They replaced my windshield with an aftermarket one. In the process they had to chisel the rear view mirror bracket off of the old windshield and install it on the new one (cracking the glass in the process). I didn't realize it was cracked until the crack spread past the bracket hardware. Tech was supposed to come out and look at it but never showed. After further investigation I found out that they have an F rating from the Better Business Bureau. They wanted $100 just to come out and look at it to see if it was their fault. I called Visa and they took care of it. This will probably be the last time that I go through a cheap windshield replacement service. read more

After they remove all the panels and windshield wipers, they come and tell me the bolts that the wipers bolt down to is broken. And they said it was already broken. I end up buying a new piece where the wipers bolts onto and it cost $260. I call them and they were yelling at me and are very unprofessional. After writing this review I received a call from the owner asking me to take down my review because "it is unfair." After refusing to take down my review, because this was indeed my experience, he said "what goes around, comes around." I then asked him if this was a threat and he said it was a common saying, a little out of context to me. Anywho, we went back and for about 30 minutes and I still refused to take down my review. He kept stating he lost so much money on the deal (he said $450) because he was trying to provide good customer service. He also stated that he fired his employee Tony, which I highly doubt, and that humans make mistakes. After a night of exquisite partying and relaxation (are those mutually exclusive?) I was inducted into the San Francisco smashed-window club last Saturday. Walked back to my car to find the back window on my convertible obliterated for what was seemingly a successful theft of my JCrew Jacket. I know, I know: Don't leave anything visible. But my jacket was pitch black and half smushed under the seat, hence completely forgotten. Technically, the name of the window that's in the back, half-portion of a convertible such as mine is a "quarter panel." If they had simply blown-up my regular passenger side window it would've cost me $150-$200. But that quarter panel job is a Biotch and the window is not in high demand. What a bummer! This basically meant the clean up job was going to be expensive. I was daydreaming about strangling the crackhead who did this to my car when I heard the first estimate from a few auto glass businesses the next day. You want $400 to replace a small window the size of a cereal box? I just about keeled over in disbelief. I called In&OutAuto Glass third; they're on Bayshore Blvd. The Chinese guy there told me to come in, that he'd do it for $225 or so. He asked me for the make, model and year which I proceeded to specifically share with him. I clearly mentioned my car was a convertible CI. I arrived there quickly, after stopping my price search and he proceeds to do a bait and switch. I admit I was fuming because now, I had wasted my time driving there, had no computer to do additional comparison shopping and my phone was dying. He tried to say that I didn't mention my car was a CI or a convertible but I am certain I did. Not only because he was the third place I called but because he clarified it over the phone. They need to know that it is a CI, a quarter panel window and that it does the window have the capability to move up and down. It was his mistake. He didn't even apologize. Pretty crummy thing to do if you ask me. All this to say, I called Change Auto Glass and spoke with Tony who gave me the lowest quote of them all. He had me patched up real nice in a few hours and even gave me a ride to a nearby restaurant so I could eat and wait there instead of the shop. My experience with this company has been horrible. I had one of there tech out to fixed my front windshield on my car. The tech arrived in a timely manner and started on the front Windshield. I walked back into work and was finishing up some work with a client and received a phone call about 25 minutes later to collect payment over the phone. After getting off the phone i went to go say thank you to the tech and check out the work. GONE!! Not one word. Well it all made sense why they were out of there so quick cause the job was horrific. I went to look at the windshield and I noticed something didn't look right. He Cracked the bottom panel and seal, then tried glueing the pieces to the glass. Really! I could believe what I was looking at. I I then called the company back to let them know what happened and they sent out a different tech. Who shows up and show him and he said who did this. I told him your guys did. He said does not look good. Then says that's one whole piece and going have to replace the whole part. I said well I didn't mess it up you guys did. He said ok. Let me call the office. OK, So the tech calls the front office and lets them know while I'm standing there. i called back to the front office and they asked me to send pictures of the work and I told him I had also taken pictures of it before hand because I had sent out pictures to a Nother glass company before I had them replaced it due to seeing if the windshield I had a sensor or not. Then I sent out the pictures and they told me they get in contact with me by Monday due to it being a weekend. So by Monday when I did not hear from them I called to touch bases and they still said they were waiting to hear back from management. I patiently waited till To Wednesday And called back again and kept getting the runaround from the front operator saying that they're still waiting for management to decide what they're just they're going to do. Long story short it's been over a week and I have still yet to hear back from any management and regards to fixing anything. Would stay far away from this company. If you've had a bad experience with Change Auto Glass as we did, do other customers a favor and please file with the Better Business Bureau of California about this company and hopefully they will help resolve the matter. I'm wondering if anyone that has had a bad experience with them ever took them to small claims court? I would not be surprised if others have and we are also considering this approach. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've been through in any circumstance. Little to no communication by Change Auto Glass to resolve an issue that was made on their part. The technician flaked on their appointment and then told us we needed to drive 40 minutes away to meet him in a random parking lot. The glass he used to replace our window was very poor quality and defective, but the technician said that it was all that was available to us. There were ripples all over the glass running both horizontally and vertically and it gives off a very distorted mirror-like reflection and looks nothing like the rest of the car's windows. We called the office and left multiple messages explaining what happened and also emailed and no one returned our messages. We were lucky to finally get ahold of someone the following week and they said that they would reach out to the technician to get more info. The only thing that we found out was that there was actually other glass available that the technician was supposed to offer us, but he didn't. He basically used the wrong glass so that he could get through the appointment quickly and on to the next and had no concern for whether it was the right glass or not. All we want is for them to replace the defective glass that they improperly installed. We never signed their documents that they keep emailing us to accept the terrible quality and workmanship. We did some further research and found out that glass with these kinds of imperfections are defective. Change Auto Glass never followed up with us despite that we continued to call and email them. We will have to now get the glass replaced by a different company, as this one does not even properly fit our window and will leak. We will be forced to take legal action as well as report this matter to the Better Business Bureau. read more

This place is the WORST. I had them replace a shattered passenger side window. The technicians failed to thoroughly vacuum out all the shattered glass from my car. After they left, when I opened the car door it would no long close. The outside handle was jammed open and the lock jammed. I called them and they came back that same day and fixed it. A week later, I went to the car wash and noticed excessive water entering the car through the top of the door/window. I also noticed a lot of airflow when driving on the highway. I called them to come back. Appointment 1: It was never even recorded in their appointment book. When I called to check in the guy had no idea what I was talking about. Appointment 2: They went to the wrong address in a town 2 hours from where they were supposed to go! Appointment 3: I was given a 4 hour window and told I would get a call with an ETA before the appointment. I called 35 minutes before the window ended and was told the tech was still finishing another appointment in another town. When I expressed my doubt they would arrive within the 4 hour window, Liz was condescending, rude and unapologetic. Sure enough, they did not make it by the end of the window. I filed a complaint with the BBB to get my money back. I hope this place goes out of business. read more

Got my front windshield replaced about 2 months ago by these guys. They had a mobile technician drive out to San Ramon to do it in my work's parking lot and he was quick, thorough, and professional. Fast forward to this week, where I got a pretty nasty chip right in the middle of my new windshield. I called close to closing and made an appointment for the next day to get it repaired. I was in and out of the shop within a half hour, and was impressed with the amount of professionalism and customer service I received. This review was originally going to get 4 stars (since another reviewer had the same exact thing happen to his windshield and they repaired the chip for free; they gave me a nice discount but it was not at all a free repair like the other reviewer received). However, I was so impressed by the professionalism of this shop that I bumped it back up to 5 stars. In particular, even though I was there by myself (late 20s blonde female), wearing yoga pants (as I'm a Pilates instructor and was coming from work), I was not at all made to feel uncomfortable and was treated with respect and equality by everyone at the shop. This is extremely important to me, so I really appreciate the high-class demeanor of the shop staff/management. read more

Be very careful with these guys. They will rip you off. Change Auto Glass committed fraud with my credit card; they overcharged my credit card without my authorization. 3 - 100.00 charges on the same day; this was clearly not done accidentally. I have been forced to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Both my credit card company and I have called them over the past few weeks about these unauthorized charges they made. Each time they said they would refund the unauthorized charges they made and then never follow-up and do so. I have also been forced to file a fraud claim with my credit card company. There are plenty of other reputable honest auto glass companies out there. I would guess anyone that has given them access to their credit card should carefully check your credit card statements. You will most probably find they overcharged you and have committed fraud with you too. read more

When nobody else was open, or was closing on Christmas Eve, of December 2015, they were there to repair my window, which I stupidly cracked running into my storage area in my carport, while parking, on my brand new Infiniti 2015 QX60. UPDATE: The Owner/ Manger told me to take a hike! It took 3 weeks to of calling to even get a phone call back from this said Manager! I had to get another company to come fix their shotty work! On 4/3/18 Change Auto Glass came to one of our job sites to replace a windshield onsite. The next few days it rained a lot, the windshield is leaking horrible!! It is leaking (not dripping) onto the dash board and also running along the roof line inside and leaking like a faucet into the interior of the vehicle. I called 4/9/18 to ask them to come repair it immediately sense there is more rain coming. They told me they were too busy and cant come until Wednesday, I told that is not acceptable and they stated they will call in the morning to let me know if they can make it out sooner. I got no phone call, i had to call them to ask what is going on. The women at the front desk told me that the technician cant make it out to the location of the vehicle. We are a contractor and our guys are at different job sites throughout the week, she stated that the warranty is no valid unless it is at the same place of repairs. I am looking at the warranty and it does not state anything of the sorts. The replacement was $502.43, and they are refusing to do the repair unless we take it to them or the original location, however as i stated we are a contractor and there is no way we can pull him off the job to fix the major issue they caused. This leak can potentially cause an electrical shortage from all the water and mold from the excessive amounts of water in the vehicle! I went and had my windshield replaced there last summer and everything was fine. Now that the weather is stormy there is a massive leak in my car. Initially I believed it was the door seals so I checked those and they were fine. I took the car to my mechanic and he told me that part of my windshield where it meets with the body of my car wasn't properly sealed. The next thing I did was take it back to Change Auto Glass because on all of their receipts it says they have "lifetime warranties" when it comes to leaks. I told them I had a leak near the bottom of windshield on the drivers side and I was immediately told that it was impossible to have a leak because they "pride themselves with the utmost quality work." I then went back to my mechanic and he pinpointed the exact spot where my windshield was leaking, put a scope right up to it from the interior and had me take a video of the car leaking so I could show the manager of Change Auto Glass the exact spot so he would know. I drove back over to Change Auto Glass and showed him the video and the exact spot where my windshield was leaking and he then told me that the video of my windshield leaking was not my windshield. I told him there was a missing piece of silicone in the seal and he told me it was not possible. Then he proceeded to tell me that in order to properly diagnose this leak, because my mechanic did not know what he was talking about, he would have to charge me $200 dollars just to do the inspection of the glass even though we already knew the exact location of the leak. This place has the absolute worst customer service and they're primary goal is clearly to not have satisfied customer's because the moment there's an issue with their work they start playing the blame game. read more

Wow, can you say ultimate customer service?! It was after the holidays and my car was parked near my work in SF. Some jerk breaks my window to see what's in my trunk (basically..nothing but clothes and shoes). UGH! My dad had to help me call around to see what's the best deal he could find to have my poor window fixed. He finally calls this place and they actually go to your house to fix yo window! I will give one star because I have a window now, but if I could give no stars, I would. Called last week to get a quote for having my window replaced. Was told that the window was 195.00, and that they could offer same day service. I waited until I got paid, today, and called to make my appt. when I called today, one week later, they informed me that the cost would instead be 269.00. Apparently they did not include labor in their previous quote. I accepted it for what it was, and scheduled the appt. I was given a time frame of two hours, and the tech showed up during that time. As soon as the tech shows up, I ask him whether he will be able to clean up the glass in the car. My car has laminated glass, so rather than nice tempered pebbles of glass, I was stuck with slivers and shards of glass ranging from tiny to large. He stated "of course, of course" and got to work. He asked if he could move my car over into the shade (which apparently meant to park in the rocks in my front yard). When he was finished and I walked out to look at my car, I noted that my driveway was full of glass, and that there was quite a bit of glass on the drivers seat still. I asked him if he could clean it up, and he said "my vacuum is too small" and refused to clean it up. I paid 287.00 for a 195.00 window, and they couldn't be bothered to accommodate me not slicing my hand or legs on glass as I took my car to spend more money on getting it washed and vacuumed. I called the shop to inform the owner/manager of what had happened, who rebutted everything that I said rather than listening, refused to apologize for the behavior of his employee, and did nothing to make this right, and in fact, ended by accusing me of being upset that I had to pay for the glass and taking my frustration with my broken glass out on him. He was yelling at me, interrupting me and continuing my awful experience with this company and their service. A good friend of mine had her car's windshield changed her at the end of 2014. As I was detailing her car today I found damage to her front pillars, back of fenders, front of the rooftop, & even to the weather lining. This was the only time she had her windshield changed so that rules out any other chances. Lousy quality labor by guys who don't what theyre doing & have no respect for your car. Only one star for lack of honesty and transparency. Saw and add in CL and contacted them via email about windshield replacement. I was told it was normally 305 dlls but there was a coupon in Groupon or Amazon for 100 dlls with a cost of 20 and then my total cost would be 205. I did math and realized the cost was going to be 225 instead of 205 but still I was happy. I called them and things totally changed. The price was 375 and applying the coupon it came down to 275. Even the guy said, don't buy coupon, give me 269 total and that will make it. This was 64 dlls more than originally and I still was going to do the job with them in spite of the change in price as the guy said the windshield was the OEM. I called them 10 minutes after to schedule an appointment, but when I asked what brand was the OAM they offered and he got so nervous and defensive and refused to tell (my original windshield had an "AGC" brand bellow the Honda logo). All windshields that I have seen have a brand. Why he refused to tell? He said that anybody that knows about windshields knows that OEM doesn't have a brand, really?. I Wonder what he really was trying to sell me? Anyway I called another shop, for 220 dlls they offered a brand new windshield and they were not shy to tell me the brand and they honestly mentioned theirs was not OEM but was a US brand with reputation (which I confirmed on the web). Besides instead of increasing the price as the guy above did, they gave me the job for 200 dlls. They even came to my house to do the job. win win for me. Do your homework and shop around.
