The people are friendly and accommodating. They finished recovering my data a day early and were quick to reply to me as soon as possible.

I discovered 300DDR on YouTube after watching Brian's interview (youtube from 8 years ago). He came…read moreacross as very knowledgeable, passionate about his work, and genuinely focused on helping customers. Before sending my hard drive, I spent a lot of time researching the company. All I could find were positive reviews, which actually made me a little nervous because most companies have at least some negative feedback. I still wasn't sure if they were legitimate, and I was worried about whether my drive would arrive safely or if they would actually be able to recover my data. Before contacting 300DDR, I took my drive to a local computer repair shop. They had it for more than a week, and every time I followed up, I was told they would call me back. After several days, they finally contacted me, likely because I kept checking in, and unfortunately told me they could not recover the data. I then contacted another data recovery company, but they quoted me between $500 and $2,000 and would also charge an $85 diagnostic fee. I was really concerned about spending that much money without knowing whether they could recover anything. One thing I appreciated about 300DDR was that they do not charge a diagnostic fee, which gave me much more confidence in giving them a try. After doing more research, watching additional videos, and reading Reddit discussions, I still found overwhelmingly positive feedback about 300DDR. So, I decided to send them my drive. Once they received it, the process was impressive. They notified me immediately that my drive had arrived, and within 24 hours they had already evaluated it. They informed me that they could recover 74.46% of the data and explained that a head swap could potentially recover more. What I appreciated most was that any additional fee was only for the replacement parts and materials, not for labor. They also provided me with a link showing a detailed list of the files, photos, and videos they were able to recover, allowing me to make an informed decision before moving forward. Since most of my important files were included, I chose to proceed with the 74.46% recovery. Throughout the entire process, their communication was excellent. They kept me updated every step of the way and were professional, transparent, and honest about my options. Their pricing was also far more reasonable than the other companies I contacted. I can honestly say that all of the positive reviews I read were accurate. 300DDR exceeded my expectations, and I am incredibly grateful for everything they did. My hard drive contained priceless memories dating back to 2013, including videos of my children, wedding memories, family photos, and other important files. I had almost given up hope of ever seeing them again. No words can truly express how thankful I am to the entire team at 300DDR for helping me recover data that I thought was lost forever. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of data recovery services. One final piece of advice: if you decide to use 300DDR, make sure you are on the correct website. My husband searched for them and found several different websites, which caused some confusion. Take a moment to verify that you are visiting the official 300DDR website before sending your hard drive. Thank you, 300DDR, for giving me back memories that I thought were gone forever

Can I give them six stars?…read more After a wild boot loop saga began on my phone, I was worried a lot of my data I had amassed would be lost forever. I wasn't sure where to look, and out of the blue, I decided to do some googling and came across this country with, needless to say, a very appealing name! After looking into it, I saw a couple of fantastic things that were green flags immediately: 1. The reviews were glowing (and here's another one - and I never write anything). People seemed to love the company's mission, and I even read that the founder (more in a sec!) created the company just for that reason: he didn't feel people should pay an outrageous amount of money to get their data back. 2. Brian himself. What a guy. He was active on a bunch of forums, and you could tell he put together a small, dedicated team who really valued that people trusted them with their services. And Brian and his team saw me through a bunch of the chaos, answering a bunch of my questions, putting me at ease, and then - through the wonders of the US postal service - procured all of my data again. (I'm backing it up right now - and if you're reading this right now, back up your data too!!) So, yeah. This company is about as legit as it comes, and if you're looking for data recovery in any capacity, you've found the pinnacle in compassionate professionalism right here. Keep on keeping on, team! You're rocking it.

I spent a couple weeks gathering all the components I've been eyeing and made the pilgrimage down to Micro Center (in Tustin) to take advantage of a great MOBO/Proc/RAM bundle. The last time I built a PC was in 2008 and at this point in my life, I just wanted an expert to help me get everything running and optimized. Gar was that expert. This guy knows his stuff and I couldn't be happier with my (first) experience at Helix. He runs the shop by himself and is clearly a lifelong PC enthusiast. It was really cool to see all his customers more 'aesthetic' builds that were in progress. I'm old so I wanted something with as little RGB as possible (haha). He even has a mini museum of PC components from decades past on display which really sent me down a VERY nerdy memory lane. He put together a 9800X3D / 5080 air cooled monster and everything runs perfectly. He optimized Win11 and walked me through everything he did when I picked up the machine. I would consider his shop a unicorn in 2026. Physical location. Passionate business owner who is offering top quality service in a niche industry. Fair prices.

I'm pretty technical, and the owner of a now-failed 1T, 4 drive RAID array. (2 of 4 drive heads…read morefailed simultaneously.) I tried the obvious things, and realized I was looking at a true hardware failure this time, not just software. Worse, 2 of the 4 drive heads failed, which, in a RAID5 array, often means that some or all of your files are kaput. After trying one other vendor and having it sit there for a day with no calls back, I picked the drive from that vendor and drove down to the drop-off office of Secure Data Recovery on Interurban. Note that this is just a drop-off office. I dropped off the drive at the Interurban Avenue office and it was FedEx'ed to the Secure Data Recovery Services Lab. The idea of a centralized lab, which many of these data recovery vendors seems to use, is a bit jarring at first. Basically, you show up at shared office suites (usually Regus, or something similar), you talk to a friendly but faceless account manager over the phone, you get the basic overview of the process, you get assigned a customer number, and you leave it there while they ship it off. In theory, the other vendor works this way as well, except the phone number had no person there, and no one called back after a day. This is the way it works with Secure Data Recovery Services too, except the phone number actually works and has a real human being there, who in my case was very knowledgeable, confident and reassuring. I got the customer number he assigned, gave a credit card for the deposit, handed off my drive, and waited a few days. I got the promised email with the diagnosis, detailing what was wrong with my drive -- in my case, two drive heads had failed simultaneously. They literally had to take apart the drive, reimage the underlying plates, re-splice the RAID (5) array together again, and they then sent me a list of all the files and file sizes that they were able to recover. In my case, it appears that all files -- or nearly all files may be returned to me. Am awaiting the recovered Terabyte drive (on a new drive) shipped back to me. It's pricey -- mine cost about $5,000 -- but it'll be well worth it if the data is indeed recovered, and I don't think it's unreasonable given the severity of the problem I encountered, which necessitated a full teardown and careful re-imaging of two drives. At press time, I was able to see the full and correct directory files, file sizes, and am awaiting the drive to be Fedex'ed back to me. These guys are knowledgeable, they give clear feedback throughout the process, they're reachable, and they inspire confidence that they actually know what they're doing. I'll revise this review if the data somehow comes back different than as they related in their top-line file report, but I've actually gotten a pretty good feeling that this will work out well, and can recommend them based on the process so far.
