He then gives you his honest professional advise as to how you may proceed with your healthcare. He offers his expert services as part of your team to help guide you either along your way of continued good dental health ... And hence overall health ( yes they are very connected) or to guide you through getting well and repairing whatever may need fixing so that you may then return to good health and flourish. Beyond that need though, he also seems to be very knowledgeable and really love his career. He seems to love to help people improve their smile through aesthetic dentistry. i am someone who was terrified of going to the dentist. until i finally couldnt put it off any longer since my wisdom teeth were starting to bother me more frequently. I went in prepared to be tortured but I came out a new believer and now an advocate of going to the dentist!! Dr. Lazar and his team have given me a complete new outlook on how dentistry is done. {skip to the end for a summary}* I also appreciated how the doctor didn't make me feel bad, (which was another huge reason I avoided going to the dentist) because I was quite embarrassed of the state that my teeth were in on my first visit. He and my hygienist, Yvonne, didnt once make me feel bad; just reassured me my teeth were fixable and not to worry. So I had periodontal cleaning, some fillings, as well as wisdom teeth extraction done. Yvonne made sure that I was completely comfortable and numb for the deep cleaning. I was a big chicken so even at the slightest sensation I would raise my hand so she can numb me some more. So they won't let you suffer because they think its enough numbing medication they'll let you tell them. Dr. Lazar did my fillings and he too wanted to make sure that at any signs of discomfort I would tell him. But my fillings were a breeze since i only had small cavities. Finally, after my mouth was finally cleaned out it was time to take out my wisdom teeth. I told them how scared I was and kept repeating it just in case they couldnt tell, but they said not to worry. I was prescribed some xanax, and on the day of the extraction I took one more pill plus laughing gas. Then Dr. Lazar got to work. Honestly I cant really recall the surgery at all but I remember responding to "open wider" and telling myself to breathe deep. The next thing i knew my ride was there to take me home. I was given post extraction instructions and told to call if i had any questions. Dr. lazar even personally called to check up the next day. *tl;dr: great, caring doctors here who know the dentist can scare the crap out of some people so they make your comfort their top priority! I was in desperate need of a dentist and Dr Lazar came highly recommended. After the initial visit, in which two teeth were pulled, I had a follow up one week later. The difference in his attitude from the initial visit and the follow up were as vast as night and day. Dr Lazar worked up a plan for my extensive dental treatment totaling $13,000.00 - all due and payable UP FRONT before we could do any work. Can we do one step at a time? Sure, after you pay up front. Can we do the work in stages? Sure, after you pay up front. I called a few weeks later and asked the receptionist to ask Dr Lazar if we could re-do the treatment plan but never heard back from her, or anyone, at that office. I have since found another dental office that gave me the same exact treatment plan, but is allowing me to do the work, and pay, in stages. I do not recommend Dr Lazar or Advanced dentistry at all. Steve is by far the best dentist in town. I have a unique medical condition that makes going to the dentist uncomfortable. But this facility, from the front desk, to the dental hygenist who cleans my teeth, to Steve Lazar is far above the most comfortable dental office in town. I absolutely love Dr Lazar and his entire staff. the office is immaculate and cozy- Lorena at the front desk is always so pleasant-always smiling, remembers details about you. I had gone for the 1st time for a cleaning, came back 6 months later and being my SECOND visit, 6 months apart, Lorena remembered me. You feel like family here. Dr Lazar is honest, offers the best advice. Even honestly telling me that I did not need certain cosmetic services that are pretty costly (a service they offer) and told me while I certainly could get my teeth bleached, I already had a nice, natural white. Who does that? Talks a patient out of giving them money? Ill tell you- Dentists who actually CARE. Lilia the hygienist took her time, went above and beyond to help me with gently cleaning a receding gum line.They stay open later than most to accommodate working schedules. Steve Lasar the Dentist/owner charged me almost $2,000 to repair teeth that "2 other dentists told me could/should not have been repaired "after he refused to get me in to take a look at "his failed work" I was forced to go in and get 2nd and 3rd opinion for documentation and for proper repair of the new crowns that broke off "only 30 days post repair" I put my trust in the wrong dentist because the teeth didn't even last a month before they broke off inside my mouth and when the crowns broke they also chipped my other "good teeth that were not previously damaged." I have to fly in out of state to have the work completed because of my terminally ill child living in Las Vegas and they knew this and said they could easily accommodate my travel schedule and that they do it all the time with clients that work or live out of state and it wouldn't be a problem at all. I scheduled my travel and flights around getting my mouth and teeth fixed/repaired and they not only cancelled multiple appointments after I was already in Las Vegas "one of the cancelled appointments they called me when i was in the parking lot/doors were locked and nobody was there for my 1030 appoitn and i didnt find out my appointment was cancelled until after driving all the way there and sitting in the parking lot for over an hour! The work was terrible and caused additional damage to my mouth and his secretary flat out lied to me about the reason for her canceling my appointments. I confronted the owner Steve Lazar and he was dismissive of my emails and fb msngr msgs and also refused to refund my money or fix my teeth. I had to find a new dentist and all the teeth he worked on need to be pulled now because of the poor job he did on them and he took my money and ran. I also have new damaged/cracked/chipped teeth from his repairs failing. I also saw what I consider unsafe mask practices. I will be reporting this to the cdc and the better business bureau websites today as well and let them decide. I would not recommend this dentist or his dishonest secretary who puts her own schedule and needs in front of a patient who flew in from working out of state and cancels already scheduled appointments so she can go to her own appointments and then blatantly lies about it on 2 separate occasions. The guy never even returned my messages when attempting to resolve the matter and never even completed all the work "additional crowns" which he he intially charged me for. Ill be hiring a lawyer next and directly contactingmany other of the negative reviews I have found online for a possible class action law suit. The worst experience I've ever had. Now I have $$$ thousands more worth of damages to my mouth due to the immediate failure of the work that was only half completed. I love advance dentistry. They make you feel at home! They are professional educated and truly care. Doctor will tell you what you need done and if your not being responsible for your teeth. Some reviews talk about him being rude and I have to disagree. Hes gonna tell you what you need to hear and what you need done. Simple as that. Me and my boyfriend are completely satisfied with the service we get. I referred all my cooworkers and not only they love it but you get 50 dlls referral. For living in Las Vegas for more than 16 years one can easily find any dentist on nearly every corner, but the dentists that truly care about patients are few and hard to find. I was referred by a relative and his fiancé to Dr. Lazar's office and I'm so glad I became a patient. The high level of care and professionalism by Dr. Lazar and the entire staff is unmatched by all the dentistry offices I've experienced. I now have my parents as patients and they are very happy as they have no dental insurance and are on fixed income. A change for the better!! As a mother, your child's care is the most important thing in the world to you. Next of coarse is their emotional well being. My son, after a few bad dental experiences in Utah, has made going to the dentist a horrible stressful chore. After several neighbors suggested Advanced Dentistry I finally made an appointment. What a blessing! The office was calming and very pleasant. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. My husband went to this dentist, the first initial visit was a little iffy. The dentist was a little rude but we proceeded to go ahead with the work. He got half his mouth worked on and was very happy with the results. We scheduled the next appointment but we ended up cancelling the morning of the appointment. When I called to reschedule I was told because we didn't give 24 hours notice there would be a $50 (you read that right) $50 fee!!! Our bill is already around $1500 for all the estimated work. I understand needing more notice but $50 is outrageous!! They told me they couldn't waive it, it was office policy and my husband signed paperwork that stated this. Why was I not reminded of this "policy" when I called to cancel... unprofessional is all I can say. I was pretty heated on the phone so I decided to write them a letter. I received a call personally from the dentist himself. I am not sure what his goal was in calling me because all he did was tell me that his staff had a different story and I cancelled a 2 hour appointment that day when they could have filled it with someone else and he still has to pay his rent. I was very polite and listened to everything he had to say but when it was my turn to talk he was very rude and kept talking over me and interrupting. Since I couldn't even get a word in I just said thanks for your time and ended the call. I am appalled at how this so called "professional" handled this situation. I would not waste my time going here, he several times mentioned how he has to pay his bills and even in our first visit he joked that we were going to put his daughter through college. I had 3 other dentists claim that the only way to whiten up my root canal tooth was to put a cap on it. Dr. Lazar saved me the expense and dangers of this procedure by performing an internal bleaching that turned out great! Two other dentists tried the internal bleaching procedure in the past, and both failed to whiten my tooth. After 3 treatments, Dr. Lazar hit the mark, and I was very happy with the result! My $1200 crown that I had done here broke in half after 5 years. I've had cheaper crowns done 10 years ago that are still looking and feeling great. I would think crowns being so expensive would last at least 5 years. Wish I never came here and wasted my money !! They should have some guarantee on their poor job they do. Shame on this office . The dentistry was good. The doctor was effective. We can find an effective dentist anywhere. They are a dime a dozen in this town. The problem is the staff and the billing mess that we are in right now. I just got a bill from a treatment in June, which was almost a year ago. I will settle that one with the insurance company. But the recent bill my husband just got was questionable based on phone calls to both the office and the insurance company that seemed to not know what they were doing. Going to the dentist is already a stressful and time consuming energy. I don't have the time or energy to worry about their billing practices and the knowledge of the staff that answer the phones. Now we are out of pocket over $1000. because of a billing question that we thought was settled in January. We will never be back. Not ever. read more

Dr. Lazar and his staff are the best. Two wisdom teeth removed and THE NEXT DAY had absolutely no pain! We have had major problems with previous dentists and our insurance, but Connie (front office staffer) worked with us to make sure our insurance covers everything. Further Connie, the hygentists, and Dr. Lazar does a great job making me comfortable and feel welcome EVERY time. I highly recommend Advanced Dentistry. Dr. Lazar is - hands down - the rudest medical professional I have ever dealt with. I watched him bring my son to tears, not due to any sort of procedure but due to him scolding him for poor flossing technique. My son is 9 years old. I eventually had to step in myself. I never thought I'd find a dentist that could exceed my expectations, but Advanced Denstistry does. I found this office through the web and, since they accpted my insurance, I scheduled an appointment. They have state-of-the art equipment, and they use ample amounts of novacain when requested for those of us that don't want to feel an ounce of pain. I have never felt pain during any of my visits -- even when I had a crown put on. They have extended office hours, so I am able to get appointments after work or on Saturdays. Connie at the front desk is as sweet as my grandmother (although much younger) and always makes me feel welcome. She also makes sure there are no surprises at check out -- she always reviews prices for dental work before scheduling appointments. Dr. Lazar is wonderful. He is a skilled, competant doctor who communicates well with his staff which makes for smooth visits. I have the utmost faith in his ability and have referred many people to this office -- all of whom are now happy clients. read more

I went to this office because it was close to my house. The decor inside was nice and clean and the front desk staff friendly and accomodating. The problem is the dentist, who is arrogant, condescending and pushy. I had a broken crown and the remains were scratching my tongue. I asked if the crown could be cemented back, he said no, it was on an old root canal so the roots had to be extacted. I explained that I had a wedding to attend that weekend and I didn't want to be in pain from the extraction. He assured me I wouldn't be. Long story short, I was, there were no stiches and the jaw bone was exposed. I went back and I was told in a very dismissive tone that it was all my fault for not following the instructions they had given me. He said stiches could not be done on such a big hole. Plus, he said this would heal in up to 3 months!!! I called my dentist in California, I made an appt. in 2 days, and he told me he would put a bone graft, a membrane on top and he will stich it up-it should heal in a few days, not 3 months!!!!!!! So Dr. Lazar is either incompetent or cannot be bothered to do his job properly. Whatever it may be, I will NEVER go there again, I'd rather drive to Orange County for the rest of my life! read more

All I can say is wow...I came here for some emergency work on my husband, and ended up having to return the next day for further work. I waited in the waiting room, and the receptionist convinced me to get an exam and cleaning while I waited. Having periodontal disease, I was hesitant, but decided to go ahead since my insurance would cover all but $10. I spoke my concerns to the assistant, who assured me that I would be well taken care of. The dentist comes in, brash and rude. I tell him of my history of no insurance and poor health, growing up in poverty with disabled parents. I told him I drank too much soda everyday for 15 years, and do you know what he said? " So, really....what's your drug of choice? " I told him that he was the professional and should be able to tell the difference in decay from a drug user, and periodontal disease from poor hygiene and no insurance. Now, I would typically try to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but he was flat out rude and condescending. He never gave me a treatment plan, yet planned on draining my insurance. The front assistants were mortified and very apologetic, but I plan on never returning. read more

I started going to this dental office a year ago. The staff were very competent, the dentist seemed o.k. However, the front office receptionist was very weird, and lied to us about what credit we had and what we owed (a lot more than expected). The cleaning I had was very good, and I noticed Dr. Lazar seemed to be good with little children. A few months ago, it felt like my crown broke, and so I went back to him. I had an awful time, with the instrument and "goo" shoved into my mouth for the mold, and I was quite embarrassed, as I could see he was becoming impatient with me. He left the room, came back and instructed me to take 2 pills. I asked what it was and he told me it was a relaxant and anti-histamine. Like a fool, I took them. They did the mold and I left. I was literally on the couch and not able to function for over two days, sleeping and groggy. I called the office and the front desk told me he gave me xanax and a nasal decongestant. I discovered that dentists are not allowed to administer meds like this. I had to go back for the final crown a few weeks later. I told him what happened and he didn't seem phased at all. He had trouble getting the crown in and pushed and shoved and it was awful. I told myself this was the last time. However, after many weeks of waiting to be able to bite on that side, and feeling pain when I bit on anything substantial, I called the office and the new receptionist (a very nice gal, by the way) told me I needed an adjustment. I dreaded going back, and I was right. This man walked in and was obviously "pissed off" that I was back after about 10 weeks. He started giving me a stupid analogy about a pebble in a shoe. He did an adjustment, and was smug, arrogant and cocky, to use just a few adjectives. He obviously was wasting his precious time on a problem he couldn't bill for. When I got out of the chair he said "So go eat"! It was almost like he was saying "go F___ yourself". I should have complained to Delta Dental when he gave me those pills, but I did not. So, I am suggesting that there are so many normal, kind dentists in the Western Las Vegas area. My husband found a wonderful one, Dr. Bruce Crowley, near our home. He and his staff are unbelievable, nice mid western people. I wish I had known about him before I went to Dr. Lazar and Advanced Dentistry, and suffered pain and humiliation. read more

Finding a Dentist in Las Vegas is easy, but finding a Dentist who truly cares about what's going on in your mouth versus what's going on in your bank account is rare. Well I can say with certainty, Dr. Lazar is a man of true character, morally ethical and his integrity is beyond reproach. I'm a Law Enforcement professional and have been for 20 years and I know what I'm talking about. The biggest mistake of my life was to stop coming back to his office because I have a great fear of Dentistry as many of us do. I decided to go back after a five year sabbatical (lol). Of course I did not continue to heed the good Doctor's advise and now I'm paying the price. Dr. Lazar gives it to you straight, no bull***t, and that's the way patients should hear it. Yet the doctor explains your condition in a professional but caring manner and truly cares about not only your mouth and whats going on inside it, but he cares about your overall health. Dr. Lazar is a rare find but once you walk through his front door, his entire staff makes you feel like you've just came upon a family reunion. The folks there are warm, friendly and don't get in "your business". I absolutely love this place and although Dentistry is expensive, you get what you pay for and much much more. Scheduling is so easy, they even provide reminders so you won't forget and they give away free gifts!!! Take the time for a consultation and you'll see for yourself. You will want to go get a coffee and sit around and chat with the staff; it's just that kind of place.
