January 18, 2024 Yesterday, I had service performed by Daniel and Ryan to assess the need for replacement of the flame sensor on my heater. The replacement was completed efficiently, and they also installed a new Venstar programmable thermostat. During inspection of the heater, which is located in the attic of my home, an observation was made that the ducts needed to be cleaned. I felt comfortable with the recommendation, and did not feel that an attempt was made to up sell the service. The task was completed today by Kyle, Jesse & Ron. Really glad I found this business, you can't go wrong with these guys. Where I live in the hills sometimes it's hard to find home service companies to come out with in a decent turnaround, punctual and not grumpy about the distance. But they were great. In fact our AC went out on the weekend (of course) and I was thrilled someone answered on a Saturday and got me an appointment on Monday. At the end of a five month heat wave our poorly installed unit finally konked out. The technicians were on time, courteous and friendly. Got to work right away and soon identified the problem, the AC drainage pipes (if thats what you call them) in our attic. It was a total mess and they ended up wet-vaccing up a bunch of water up there and clearing the pipes so it worked again. What a relief to have that cool air flowing on a hot day! He told us the installation issue that eventually caused the problem, and even gave my handy hubby tips on what he could do to avoid a costly situation in the future. My wife called them to come out in July to fix a condensate leak issue with our unit. They were here for about 45 minutes, they cleared out the condensate line. In that time they also insulted my wife, dogs, and baby, but I'm pretty sure they didn't know I could hear them talking in the hallway. I asked Steve, who I would later find out is the owner. "So everything with that unit is good now? It won't give me anymore issues?" He responded by saying: "Your unit is perfect." I paid him. A couple of days later the leak was back. I called them, they told me they wouldn't be able to come out again for 5 days. That weekend it was slated to be over a 100 degrees every day. I finally got a call from Steve, who told me in no uncertain terms, that my forced air unit was the worst he had ever seen and the entire thing needed to be replaced. He offered a partial refund and refused to fix his work. I'm not sure if he is incompetent or a liar. But to tell me that my unit was perfect, and then 5 days later without coming back out, telling me it was the worst he had ever seen and needed a complete replacement speaks volumes. read more

Hired them for an annual AC check-up, $520 and some scare tactics later, the compressor began to squeal and hiss. Called them back, they gave a 9-11 window and when it was past that I called to cancel. Only then did they call to say they were running late. My time is important too. Hired another company and the fix was immediate, (there was too much pressure) with no mention of having to replace the whole unit. Been running perfectly since. Hello, we needed a new AC as the original unit was over 20 years old, builder grade. And it sounded like a freight train. I wanted a quiet unit with good efficacy. Also, since a have a large solar system, I wanted a heat pump as the governments attack on petroleum products will only cause the price of gas heating will only go up. Advanced and the other bids were almost identical. But I liked the Amana equipment better. This is a newer style thin unit that takes up less space. They crew showed up promptly, protected our house, and cleaned up very good. The crew was 4 to 6 people they were polite and efficient. I got multiple quotes from different companies and this was the only one that told me my furnace was fine and all I needed was to trade out the AC unit. They quoted me 8 grand less than two other companies. Not only that, but they didn't have any of the slimy sales strategies that we all hate to go through. Other companies took 2 hours to get me a quote and gave me the run around about how I needed to sign today or it was going to cost me.
