My car came to American Body Works without a cracked windshield but was given back to me with a…read morecracked windshield. I asked American Body Works to replace the windshield as the windshield developed the crack while the vehicle was in their possession. The office manager stated that the windshield cracked due to a change in temperature. To give some history, I've had this car since 2017 and it has always lived outside, during our winter freezes and scorching hot summers and the windshield has never cracked. The office manager also stated that she spoke to the owner and there is nothing that they can do, which is simply untrue. There is something that they can do, replace the windshield, they are choosing to do nothing. After the office manager stated that American Body Works will not be replacing my car's windshield, it was time to take another ride share to pick my car up. The office manager stated that the keys to my car will be in the lock box at the front of the shop and she also gave me the code to the lock box. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was shocked to find that the door to the lock box was wide open with my keys, meaning anyone could have taken my keys and stolen my car. How hard is it to close and lock the door to a lockbox? What i think happened is an employee put something hot like a heat gun or a cup of hot coffee on the windshield and that is what caused the windshield to crack. Again, none of that is my doing. I do not recommend that anyone use American Body Works.

Cant recommend ARS with this level of repair work they returned to the body shop I use…read more They even completely coated/painted over the perfect **undamaged sample** to make all the other wheels look the same... even tho they all ended up a different color with overly-glossy finish and a heavy coating that ruined the original design of the wheel. At this point they refuse to do anything other than add another coat of the wrong color and finish to these obviously bad looking repairs. Its so bad the body shop that sent the wheels to them said they dont meet the standard of warranty-guaranteed work. It's sad because I recommended them to my body shop now everyone looks foolish and no one is happy.

I came to SLP for help with fully stripping and repainting my lancer evo x. I had been parking…read moreoutside for a decade and the texas sun had slowly worn down and deteriorated not only the clear coat, but began to wear down the red paint leaving metal in places. Along with a full repaint, there were a number of small to medium maintenance things that needed doing, re surfacing the interior ceiling with new cloth, fixing some minor body issues, polishing and clearing up my head lamps. It was a lot of work, and took about a month - but when I got my car back on the other end I almost didn't recognize it. SLP did a fantastic job and they have my full recommendation and will be going back for other work in the future. Thank you !
