Got and oil change through Groupon. It lists that you get a tire rotation with the oil change and I didn't receive a tire rotation when they brought my car back out. I went back in and told them that they never rotated my tires, and they apologized and asked if I wanted my tires rotated and I told them since I paid for it yes. Very BAD service. I had an appointment at 9 am and when I went in for my appointment at 8:50 am, the shop wasn't even open. I spoke to Christian (service tech) and told me that if I were to come back when they open that they were gonna take care of my car first. But when I called in and asked about the service, they said I had to schedule another appointment or leave my car for 2 hours. This shop has a VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Very happy with the service of the office staff and mechanics here! My Dad and I have brought several cars here for various reasons and the staff have always been friendly, professional, and hard working. Most recently, I brought my car in because my a/c went out. I have an older car so they had to special order a part. When that part was defective, they ordered another one. When THAT part was defective, they ordered yet another one. They finally got one working (YAY!) and I got my a/c back again! The only issue I had was that one day they said they would call with an update. Well, we waited at home all day for a phone call and it never came. Even if the part hadn't come in or whatever, we would've appreciated a quick call letting us know what was going on. I've now visited this Meineke twice; once to replace the exhaust manifold on my 2007 Murano, and a second time to investigate noise from my brakes. In both cases David, Brandon, Christian and Jose (and probably others) provided the highest level of integrity, service and professionalism I have experienced at a car care service. In fact, I was convinced I would need new brakes, but after their inspection, they determined no service was necessary. I imagine many places would not have been so honest. I carry my 10-month-old son daily in this car, so keeping it running well and reliably is a big concern. I feel like the people at this Meineke take that kind of responsibility to heart. Ok, it was time for an oil change. I had a coupon from The Breeze offering the Preferred oil change for $27.95 and an A/C check and road trip check for free. Made an appointment for Saturday 9/4/15 8:00am. Pulled in was met by Bob who I guess is the manager, very nice very professional. Took my keys, I went to grab some breakfast. When I came back, Bob told my car was done, everything was in great shape, didn't try to sell me services I didn't need and even told me that my 30K check-up was fine. BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A GROUPON I bought a Groupon for an oil change, made a appointment for 1pm. I dropped my car off at 12:30 on the scheduled day I informed them I had a Groupon and Courtney took a picture of my voucher with her phone saying "I can't remember numbers well" 3:30 comes so I call to inquire about my car and Courtney says "It's not ready yet" I asked "do you know about how much longer it would be?" She says "I'm not sure but I will call you when it's ready" she calls back 5 minutes later and says that my car is ready, I thought this was odd but I went down to get my car. I pull up and my car is in the exact same place I left it. While I'm inside Courtney says "how will you be paying?" I asked my husband to go outside and check if the check oil light was off, Courtney runs to the back. My husband comes back in and tells me my seat is in the same position I drove it in and the light was still on. Another customer was there at the time and confirmed that he was there when dropped my car off and it has not moved from where I parked it. Courtney finally comes from the back and I question her about the seat and the light she says"oh a short mechanic drove it to the back" i informed her the light was also still on, she runs to the back again. When she returned she says "they're going to take it to the back to turn the light off" I asked my husband to check the dipstick to look at the oil as he's popping the hood the mechanic runs out and says "we are taking it back now" my husband said "taking it back? To do what?" The mechanic says "to change the oil" My husband comes in to inform me, as I'm still waiting for Courtney to come out from hiding in the back. When she returned I questioned her as to why she called me to tell me my car was ready and it had not been touched and also why did she lied about the short mechanic? She started to tell me about her crazy day and all of these other things that had nothing to do with my car or offer any apologies. I asked for the manager and she told me "you're looking at her" she had an attitude and was not at all apologetic. I asked her if it was because I had a Groupon and was this common practice. She says "if you didn't have a Groupon I could comp you, but Now can't do anything so what do you want me to do?" Are you serious? How about an apology or taking some responsibility. She would have let me drive off without an oil change and when I checked my Groupon she had redeemed it at the time I dropped my car off. I came to this company because of a Groupon and I had hoped to use them in the future because it is close to my home but they lost a would be customer due to this dishonesty and poor customer service. read more

When in for a basic no frills oil change. I inquired about the oil weight, and was told they have to use the weight specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Looking at the invoice, the specified oil weight was not used. The technician failed to wipe down the spill oil from when the filter was removed. Leaving a nice oil mess on the garage floor. Kudos for putting oil back in the engine, for putting the drain plug and fill cap back on. read more

I should never have given this place another chance. Horrible horrible service. First they didn't have the needed part. Ok. That's common. Then the place sent the wrong part. Ok. One day wasted. Then we were told we had to pay an additional $200 for overnight shipping if we didn't want to wait 5 days. Then it was not there until end of business that day, so they will fix it the next day. Ok, 3 days gone. The guy assured us car will be done that day and he would leave it for us to pick up after 6PM because he won't leave until it's done. Great. Went tonight to pick it up. NOT THERE. My Honda was having alternator/battery problems so I had a mechanic friend install one for me and also bought a new battery for good measure. When after driving it for a week, the warning lights all came on again indicating a charging problem (still), I decided maybe it was time to take it to Meineke. First off, the guy who took the car information (Eric) was a bit surly-maybe because I didn't let him charge me an arm and a leg to do all the diagnostics and repairs initially. Anyway, they hooked up a voltmeter to the alternator and the battery and told me the alternator was faulty. Wow, it took 20 minutes and maybe 10 minutes of paperwork for $60, that's $120/hr! I did agree to pay $60 went I brought it in so fair is fair, but I've read reviews about this place that say "they helped us when our car broke down and didn't charge us anything!". I don't know how much simpler a job they could have had then checking an alternator and it sure as hell wasn't free. On the other hand, they did do it in a timely manner. read more

A $19 oil becomes $25 if you need 5-20 instead of 10-30 oil ?... Really ????? And anyone who refuses to provide an estimate on a standard procedure (like new struts) without you having to bring the car in, should be avoided. When my wife went to pick up the car, they specifically said they had spoken with me (not true) and that I had said for my wife to decide whether to do all the extra recommended service. First of all, yes, very reasonably priced oil change. Then after the vehicle inspection, they try to sell you other services. I understand that's the way they can sell you an oil change for so cheap. The team here was amazing. I was driving from SF to Guinda when my car started driving unevenly. We pulled into this Meineke, and they quickly diagnosed the problem as a defective tire. They told me that I could drive with the tire, despite the defect. Then they offered to put on the spare. I declined and decided to continue on my journey with no issue. Hard for me to leave this review because I don't like to speak negatively, but just last week confirmed why we stopped coming here. A few years ago I needed an alternator replaced. One of the easiest parts to change on a vehicle. They tried to charge me a price that I KNEW was way too high because they told me where they were picking it up from. I looked on the local parts store's website (the place that THEY told me they were getting it from), found the exact part by the part number and picture and asked why they listed the part cost with their upfront pricing as $100 more than what the local store was charging. I did this check because I became suspicious from a previous service that I was being overcharged or made to sound like the car can't leave until the repair is done. I know from other licensed mechanics is that they can only do it if there is a major safety issue, like breaks. The counter person had no answer when I confronted with the price difference, and dropped my estimate down and threw in an oil change. The time estimate for repair was incorrect. They were two hours over and didn't even call me.I called them, and they said access to the alternator was harder than they thought. I'm a former air force jet engine mechanic and I KNEW that wasn't what could take an extra two hours, which ended up being two more hours of leave I had to take. Fast forward to last week and a relative goes for an oil change. She chose this location for the convenience and price. I told her "call me if they try to charge you for something extra". They did. Said $200 to remove her oil drain cap because it was "stuck and they needed a special tool". I told her to come home. Today, she goes to another more reputable chain I had recommended, and who handles my oil changes after the Meineke debacle. They charged her $50 for the oil change plus another service. Told her the cap was rounded but it wasn't hard to get off. Maybe others have had different experiences, but this was a confirmation that I was not going to return. My poor relative would have been shafted an extra $200 for a simple repair. read more

I am very satisfied with my experience at this Meineke! I have been having overheating issues with my car for almost two years and was taking my car to another shop. I had issues over and over again, I couldn't even go 3 months without going back to the other shop for something with my car. But the first time I took my car to this location, they discovered that the 30 amp fuse that controls the fan that cools the engine was burned out but not only that, the housing that the fuse sits in was melted. I feel very relieved that they were able to find out what has been going on. I knew there was something more than what the other shop was telling me. I took my car here on 4/1/17 to get new brakes, i paid $402 for new front brakes and routers. when i left my car was speaking as well as i heard a grinding noise, i called and was told they were just breaking in and to give them some time. i went back in may and was told the same thing, you dont do a lot of stop and go so give it some more time for them to be broken in. on 7/24/17 i went in and was told that all of a sudden my back brakes were bad, looks like ive been driving around with my e brake on. i was very upset and they ended up keeping my car for over 24 hours and giving me new brakes for free; i was told that this should solve the problem. as i leave from getting my car again i hear the same noise that was supposed to be fixed by replacing my back brakes this time. i complained to the bbb which they said they never got, so i got zach's email, who i assume is the manager, and had the bbb send it to him directly. i was asking for my money back as well as them to pay for another shop to do the job correctly. i took my car to midas and they informed my that one of my hubcaps was broken, the rear brakes that were just fixed had not been adjusted when replaces as well as the harw for the front brakes on both side was not properly installed. i took my car back here THREE times and they couldnt see that that was the problem this whole time. zach said he spoke to the owner, which he will not let me talk to, and they will NOT give me my money back but they will pay midas to replace the hardware. they have very poor customer service and did a shoddy job on my car. i trusted these people since i used to take my old car here but each time i went there was a new manager (zach was not one of them) and they are not willing to give me a refund for a job not done right three time. read more

We took our Suv for a check up before our weekend getaway to Lake Tahoe to snowboard. We ended up paying a little over $1000. We thought everything was good until our Suv over heated as soon as we started the car. We were up the mountain and it was snowing. We almost got stranded all 7 of us including 2babies and 2 kids. I had to ask strangers to give me a ride to the nearest rental company that was closing in 20minutes. My sister in law had to ask for a ride to get another rental car because no rental company has a 7 seater car. The problem was when they replaced the radiator they didnt put back the plug properly. The reason I didnt write a review because they gave us a store credit for future repairs. I took my other car for brake pads replacement. They told me that i also needed to replace my Suspension spring coil. So i did. I used my store credit. After they replace everything, i felt vibration everytime I stepped on my brakes. I complained 3 times and they told me that I just needed to break it in (break pads). So, I did drive my car for two weeks and my car got worst. I took it back and I told them they have to fix whatever damaged they did to my car. My car was not vibrating before I took it to their shop. I had to call them everyday just to remind them the damaged they did to my cars. So, they took my car in and fixed it for free. They said that they had to call the Audi deaership to ask questions about my car problem and order some parts. They were able to fix the problem. They told me that someone forgot to tighten up a screw and someone ruined the threading of my wheels. I don't know what they were talking about all I know that they ruined my cars and they don't know what they are doing. read more

They went above and beyond! We were on our way from SF to Tahoe when we heard a horrible sound coming from our 2007 Acura RDX. We immediately pulled off the highway and searched for the nearest car repair. We thankfully ended up at Meineke in Roseville. They quickly diagnosed the problem (which my Acura dealer failed to notice a week earlier) and repaired it at 5:00 on a Friday night when they could have easily turned us away since they close at 6:00. I have been taking my car faithfully to this Meinike for a few years now. After today I will never give them my business again. I took my car in for an oil change a few months ago and then again last week. Both times I was told my car needed several things replaced and that I was risking my car breaking down if they were not repaired soon. Total estimate was around $2200. They apparently thought I am some stupid woman that could be scared into forking over my cash but in reality I am not. Instead I decided to get a 2nd opinion and took my car in today to a place that came highly recommended. So thankful I did because after inspection I was told that the only thing that needed replacement would cost me $100. Meinike you should be ashamed of yourselves! We had some work done on our car today at a local shop in town and he told us we needed to change the oil more often because it was extremely low and Black, it was burnt!!!
