    CITRUS MARINATED BEETS

I came across Aerlume as I was looking for a somewhat fancy restaurant to have dinner with a view of the water. It was a simple process to make a reservation on their website, and I was even able to make a note that I was celebrating my birthday. Aerlume is right next to Pike's Place, so finding parking may be a challenge but don't let that discourage you from trying it out. Service was amazing and the food was really good too. While waiting for my appetizer, the chef brought me a steak sashimi amuse bouche that was absolutely delicious!! My mouth is watering thinking about it. I kept it light with the citrus marinated beets as my appetizer. Although I don't usually eat beets, I thought this dish was so good! For my main course, I got the C.A.B. filet mignon. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything tasted so good together. I was amazed by the how thick the asparagus was! I did inhale my food quite fast so I passed on dessert in favor of hot tea, but their dessert selection also sounded yum. I regret not getting the carrot cake. I had a great experience dining here and would love to eat outside in the future! Also, if you're wondering, I don't believe there's a dress code. Their website doesn't make note of one and I was ok to dine in my jeans and Gazelles.

Beautiful waterfront views, memorable dishes, and a great spot for a special occasion. We came here to celebrate our friend's birthday and had such a fun experience overall. The ambiance alone makes this place feel special. There is bar seating around a fireplace near the entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water, and even a balcony with a few outdoor tables. We came around sunset, and the views were absolutely beautiful. We ordered a mix of shareables, entrees, and sides and shared everything family style. Standout starters for me were the Peruvian Steak Bites, which were incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The Yellowfin Tuna Poke was another favorite. It was light, fresh, had a slight kick, and I loved that it came with crispy rice paper instead of the usual chips, which gave it a nice texture and made it feel a little different. The Crispy Cauliflower was also very good. Crispy on the outside, hot and flavorful on the inside, and the creamy aioli paired really well with it. We also added the bone marrow butter with thin sliced toasted bread instead of the traditional sourdough, and that ended up being a great choice. For entrees, the Fried Half Chicken was one of the stronger dishes. The skin was super crispy, the chicken was tender and juicy inside, and the honey mustard aioli paired really well with it. Portion sizes on the entrees were generous. The Heritage Berkshire Farms Pork Shank was also excellent. The pork was so tender it practically fell off the bone, and the mango sauce worked really well with it. The Dungeness and Rock Crab Mac and Cheese came out piping hot in a clay pot, which I loved. I was hoping for a little more crab, but it was still enjoyable. The Wild Alaska Black Cod had a beautifully crispy skin, but flavor-wise this was probably the one dish that fell a little short for me. The sausage that came with it had a nice spice, but I did not feel like it paired particularly well with the cod. A couple smaller notes. The sticky rice with the chicken was softer and mushier than what I usually expect from sticky rice. The brussels sprouts had a nice garlicky flavor with a slight kick, but were a little softer than I personally prefer. Service was a little mixed. Our waiter did provide some good recommendations, but the warmth and attentiveness felt inconsistent depending on who at our table was asking. I also asked for an iced espresso with milk and got a comment about them not being Starbucks, which felt a little unnecessary. On the positive side, food came out quickly, and I appreciated that they cleared and reset the table between courses, which made the meal feel elevated. To end the night, they treated our birthday girl to a complimentary dessert and let us choose anything from the dessert menu. We went with the carrot cake and pistachio ice cream, and it was the perfect ending. The cake was moist, sweet, and paired really well with the ice cream. Overall, between the views, the ambiance, several standout dishes, and thoughtful touches throughout the meal, this is definitely a spot I would come back to for a date night or special occasion.

Yum! Went for partner's birthday with a reservation and they seated us at a water facing table which was awesome! We got the crab cake, octopus, chicken, scallops, cauliflower, and pina colada. Everything was great! The scallops and octopus were nice and tender. All of the sauces and garnishes complimented each dish super well. The must try here is definitely the octopus. Great customer service and vibes. Perfect for a special occasion.

Came to Aerlume for a celebratory dinner and had a window view to overlook the water and I was amazed at how beautiful this restaurant is. Service is outstanding, and I ordered crab cake appetizer and got a seasonal King Salmon entree which was spectacular. Great location, great views, and great memories. I will definitely come back again!

Came here for our 10 year engagement anniversary and siiiiiggghhh I love this place. The restaurant is just beautiful with a gorgeous view, we were here just at sunset which just added to the prettiness. They placed red petals on our table with a sweet little card. The service is always so very attentive as well with just the perfect balance of privacy for our dinner. So let's talk food SAGANAKI CHEESE PLATE 5/5 this was a beautiful dish the cheese had a great crispy exterior and the chili sauce that came with delicious SEARED SEA SCALLOPS 5/5 I couldn't resist ordering this again and boy it was hard deciding between this and the lamb carbonara but it won out in the end. Perfectly cooked, I probably would say the first time I had it it came with fried sweet potato versus the roasted roots the prior of which I preferred, otherwise it was delicious GRILLED KING SALMON 5/5 my husband loved this dish, the skin was super crispy without over cooking the salmon. DUNGENESS & ROCK CRAB MAC & CHEESE 5/5 listen just get this, don't even question it. It's decadent and creamy and tasty.... Just... trust me GARLIC CHILI OIL BRUSSELS SPROUTS 5/5 don't you just love a really good veggie side that has its own kick, this thing was delicious with the perfect amount of heat I would 100000% recommend this place, especially for a special occasion BUT they also have a happy hour, go have fun my peeps

It's been a while since I went somewhere with truly excellent service. Everyone from beginning to end, was truly emanating happiness and pleasure towards each other and the guests. It felt lovely! I frequently go to the market, to people watch, find new bites, enjoy happy hour, you know, just to relax. I happened to see a gentleman placing an Open sign in front of a hidden away, but pretty looking bar. It piqued my interest and I wanted to find out, was it a bar? A hotel lobby? A restaurant? It's very easy to walk past. Turns out, they have the hospitality and great food and an even better bar menu. Lots of fun options for cocktails, mocktails, and zero-proof to delight all tastebuds. Food wise: We enjoyed the Crab Cakes, which came with a nice mayo based sauce, pickled red onion, and arugula to cut through the richness. SO good! We also indulged in the Octopus, which was the most tender and flavorful we have yet to find in Seattle! There was good char and the same mayo but very flavorful sauce as the crab cake. I think in that regard, the crab cake could use an additional sauce on the opposite side to liven it up a touch. Maybe a jelly somethin-somethin? Finally, since bread was on the menu, we had to check it out. It was really well done sourdough and a darker wheaty/rye (can't remember, sorry!) and it came with a cranberry fig butter, that I assumed was seasonal and likely to change in the warmer months. I could be wrong and wouldn't be mad if they kept it year round. They also have a great happy hour that I looked forward to checking out. It's a beautiful spot, and even better to find out they're apart of the El Gaucho family! I always want to make my way back to Aqua or El Gaucho, and honestly just don't make the time. This is a convenient stop for me as I mosey along at the Market a couple times a month, so I am really glad I found this gem of a spot! I met with the General Manager, Scotty, and he seems like a standout guy! Pablo was great and very much wanted us to enjoy our time at Aerlume, and Matt rounded out the entire stop with outstanding service. Just great timing, recommendations and conversation. Keep it up, Aerlume! I hope to see you hanging out with that gorgeous view for years to come.

Came here on the weekend during happy hour. Their happy hour is from 4-6pm Tuesday to Saturday. We got 3 bites item and 1 dessert item. For the bites, we ordered the crispy fish taco, aerlume burger, and bone marrow fries. I think the food here is just alrighty, it's not bad and it's not that great. The crispy fish taco was crunchy and a little sour, fish was okay, flavor was decent. The aerlume burger is very mediocre, it just taste like something homemade. Bone marrow fries is like regular fries, I don't taste any bone marrow. I do like their dessert, we got the carrot cake, it was delicious and the pistachio ice cream that came with it pairs very well with the cake. Cake is not too sweet, big portion, can be shared with 2-3 people. Overall, I think food is just okay. Nothing too impressive that I would come back to. I do have to say that their customer service and ambiance is excellent. Staff are very friendly and the location is beautiful.

Went with a reso. The place was packed and buzzing. Great ambience. Staff and service was very good. get a window seating if you can - you'll love the view. We tried crab cakes, grilled octopus, pork shank and grilled cod. I loved the shank and second fav was the crab cakes. The octopus had great flavor but it was rubbery. The crab cake was pretty decent. Cocktails were good. Few additional things: They charge a 20% service charge by default. Parking is available below the building. However the restaurant does not provide parking validation :(

We came in to celebrate our anniversary on Friday. Early during the day I received a call from the restaurant asking for my partners name. When we sat down they had put a card with both our names to wish us a happy anniversary. The table had both chairs facing the amazing view of the Puget Sound. You could watch ferries leaving and coming back. I noticed it was quite warm in there not sure if that was the windows or not, but it didn't both us too much! Our waiter was very personable and helpful. He was attentive and helped answer any questions we had. Most of the menu is gluten free which is a huge plus for me! We had the poke to start, it was very refreshing and the waiter mixed it at the table. This was a highlight! We enjoyed the wasabi based sauce, it was quite a bit lighter than other wasabi I've had. We then ordered the scallops, black cod, dungeness mac and cheese, and the brussel sprouts. The scallops were just okay the actual scallops lacked a bit of flavor, but they were cooked perfectly! The black cod was definitely the highlight of the entrees. I loved the crispy skin and sauce served. The dungeness mac and cheese could be made gluten free and it was fantastic. It wasn't too rice just the right amount of sauce and crab. The brussel sprouts were really good, flash fried and then covered with chili oil. I wish there was a bit more sodium on this one. Other than a few moments that I thought fell short, everything else was amazing and I would definitely come back!

Had a lovely happy hour here! I sat at the bar and Carissa took great care of me. Most notable is her making sure I saw that the tip of 20% was already included in the bill at the end of my meal. She was so nice about it, I left more. You can sorta see the water from the bar And the overall feel of the place was vibrant. I came for the happy hour and it did not disappoint. Tacos and a manhattan for the win. Met lovely people and would come back.

The perfect place for date night, special occasion, or just because, Aerlume is the place to be! Everything we had was incredible but what blew me away was their GLUTEN FREE Buttermilk Fried Chicken!! If they hadn't mentioned it was GF I never would have known. It's served with a house-made mole sauce that pairs well with the chicken, and Spanish rice. We also ordered the Heritage Berkshire Farms Pork Shank which literally fell off the bone and is a fan favorite for their fall menu. Our server, Maya, was unforgettable. We ordered almost everything she recommended for us, and she was so incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome!!

Overall: 9/10 Food: 9/10 Heritage Berkshire Farms Pork Shank with crispy sweet potatoes, garlic chili oil Brussels sprouts, and citrus mustard seed jus. Brussels sprouts were surprisingly spicy and the pork shank was very tender and rich. The pork shank was bigger than I expected and I definitely left full which isn't the case most of the time when I go to fancy restaurants. Grilled octopus with cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and chorizo sausage crumble. Octopus was very tender. Brussels sprouts were crispy. Essentials Bakery Bread and Fig Butter. Barely tasted the figs in the butter. Bread was very dense Grilled King Salmon with carmelized root vegetables, roasted squash, salsify, and yuzu chimichurri. Both main dishes were quite large and left us very full Service: 10/10 This was our anniversary dinner and they had put a postcard on our table for us along with real rose pedals. I was also served seltzer water at my request for free Ambiance: 10/10 Fancy waterfront restaurant with a good view

Great food, service and the views are great. We went there to celebrate my husband's 57th birthday as a family. They gave us a personalised birthday card which I thought was a nice touch. The food was delicious. It's definitely a restaurant for special occasions.

But the only time we saw him was when we tracked him down to order or request our check. The blasted broccoli used to be my favorite. They've changed it and it's not as good. Other of our favorites were missing from the menu entirely. (Oh where did you go, spicy shrimp with shells?) We did like the karaage chicken wings. Liked them a lot. I'd say to be sure and order them. The ravioli and mushrooms would have been nice, but was so overly drenched in brown butter it was not pleasant. Who knew there could be too much brown butter? This dish would benefit by a bit of acid - maybe a balsamic drizzle? The best part of the tandoori style chicken by far were the interesting garnishes along with the tzatziki. The chicken was just a vehicle for the rest.

Wow, this review is 8 years old! I want to share my experience with Some Random Bar…read more In 2017, my mom and I visited Seattle for me to look at apartments and interview for jobs. We came here to eat because it was near our hotel. I was OBSESSED with the crab nachos. 2 months later, I moved out here all on my own. Now, 8 years later, I live nearby. Whenever someone is visiting, we come here. Whenever I run into a stranger visiting, i say they have to come here. My friends know if i'm celebrating anything, "are you getting crab nachos?!" It's become a part of my personality at this point. I have so much respect for the owners, the way they run their business and their honesty online. No one I've brought here has had a bad thing to say regardless of what they ordered. My go to is: Pull apart bread, crab nachos (with their hot sauce!! which, btw can i buy that by the bottle.. cause YUM) + whatever drink is calling my name (they rotate, but if you can get the pina colada you won't regret it). tldr; you'll regret NOT coming here.

I remembered that their drinks and bourbon selection/pricing used to be incredible. As with all things lately, prices have gone up on some of their rarer pours. The standard basic cocktails though were still reasonable and decently priced for the location. The atmosphere is great and service was pretty quick. The outdoor patio is still there which was a nice addition from 2019/2020 era. Some of their bourbons are still reasonably priced. Their food is pretty good. Would recommend the tacos, the burger, and carne asada. The nachos were not particularly for me, and also seemed to come out cold. Seemed to have cheese sauce instead of actual cheese. It was a cold day however. This place is mainly great for happy hour after work, but will come back and try dinner another time. Staff is great though. Really quaint and awesome spot to post up. good food, good service, good drinks, good selection, and still better pricing than most bars with what they have to offer. Will be going back again sooner. cheers

I was so delightfully surprised by this. It was salmon poke, which is always my preference, and I really liked how small they cut the salmon pieces. Most of the bowl was filled with salmon (no rice) with a bit of arugula at the bottom. I really liked that. The truffle fries were SOOO delicious and the aioli that came with them was perfect. The sliders were very delectable, as well. Our server was very kind. We walked in 10 mins before happy hour ended and she made sure to check in with us and get our orders in before happy hour ended. The inside of the restaurant is artfully decorated and there are nice views of the water.

My coworkers and I came here for dinner and on a beautiful sunny Seattle day, it was great to sit by the window and look out over the water. The food was also decent. It is slightly over priced, but not unusually high and about what you would expect for a waterfront restaurant in Seattle. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was delicious! The filet, scallops and oysters we had were also great. Nothing blew me away, but everything was up to expectations for a restaurant of this caliber. The not-so-good - The service was awful. From the moment we were sat the wait staff was quite rude to us and our whole meal felt rushed. They kept approaching asking to take away plates when we weren't finished, they were short with my coworkers who had questions on the menu and were generally unwelcoming towards us. If it was not for our experience with the service, This would be a 4-star review, but for a meal at price point, I would expect the overall experience to be exceptional and this did not meet that for me.

The burger itself was well seasoned and I thought the grilled onions were a great touch. I found that the esquite was especially flavorful given that it's made with chicken broth. I think it would be even better served with something that can be used to dip in the broth. Maybe even the fries? The quesabirria was piping hot, crispy and comes with beef consommé.

What I enjoyed off the bat was that even though I didn't have cash to pay the cover I was able to get in using one of their payment offerings that linked my bank. I even got a little cash back from doing this. There is Dance floor right passed walking in and another downstairs. Before going downstairs there is a 'theatre'. The Drag show was entertaining, but the acts ranged from really amateur to a few seasoned "queens". There were some cool people who I chatted with a cool couple who wanted to also get their goth vibes on and drove down from I believe Everett. The bar, even though busy had a cool bartender who made good drinks, and the prices weren't bad. I bought rounds for my friends and myself through the night and paid less than $50 so I was really surprised. Chill vibes here. Would go to another event here.

The parmesan truffle fries ended up being a highlight of the meal. They were crispy, generously seasoned, and easy to keep reaching for throughout brunch.
