This company is horrible unless you plan to spend big bucks with them. We bought a unit from them many years ago. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sweet Gerald would come and service it. Mind you, Gerald is the only kind person I have met there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Two years ago our unit crapped out so we had Gerald order us a new one. Mercy did they have it to me quickly. From day one I noticed a weird noise from my powerhead. I only vacuum 4 large area rugs with it. I have LVP in the rest of the house. So Gerald comes and takes a look and thought it was a broken elbow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh no, I get a call from one of those nasty ladies in the shop and they proceed to tell me my unit had been dropped and I needed a new one to the toon of $700.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Seriously! I have never dropped it and am the only one who uses it. When Gerald and I were looking at it there were absolutely no signs of being dropped or broken. It's now been 13 weeks and still no resolve to my issue. My mom has a 40 year old Electrolux vacuum that is still going strong, but she ran out of the debris collection vacuum bags. She's the type of person who needs things NOW. So I looked up a local Electrolux dealer since I wanted to give them my business to help out our local economy. No use in having my hard earned money going out of state when I can help a "neighbor". I called Aerus about 4:35pm. They had the bags in stock, but by the time we could get there it would be 5:05pm when the store closes at 5pm. The sales person was very nice in telling us that she would wait for us which was really going out of her way to accommodate us. Transaction was fast and done via computer. Cost of 24 bags was $53.64 including tax. The next day out of curiosity, I googled, and 24 Aerus Electrolux Canister Style C Vacuum Cleaner Bags, Made In USA cost only $13.26 plus shipping. Unfortunately, as much as I dislike buying online due to the above reasons, I will not shop here since the price differential is too high. So disappointed. read more

I have owned my Electrolux vacuum since 2013 and would not own any other brand of vacuum. It is so versatile with so many attachments that it can clean my carpets, my vinyl foors, my car, my window blinds, and more. The Aerus Electrolux store in Torrance is the best. Gerald drove all the way to Pismo Beach to pick up my vacuum for routine maintenance, took it back to Torrance where get this a woman, Marie, did all the work; and radio announcer-voiced Philip handled my inquiries on the phone. First tip: CALL FIRST... Make sure they're open before you just show up. I just showed up and no one was there. This is a small business, so the rules are a little different, and I'm okay with that. I have an Electrolux vacuum that was repaired by another shop that repaired it using knockoff Amazon parts. It broke soon after it was repaired. I was really thankful to find this place! They repaired my vacuum hose in like 10 minutes and I've been happily vacuuming ever since. It's not inexpensive, but these vacuums are beasts! They're so well made. I inherited my grandfather's vacuum from the 1980s and it still works really well! It's Quality over Quantity for me. Friendly, reliable and honest? I won't be going anywhere else. read more

I've had my Electrolux vacuum cleaner for 34 years. It's so well made. It's been serviced twice for maintenance. I also have an Electrolux shampooer that is 25 years old and it cleans carpet better than any service out there hands-down!! Electrolux makes quality products. Some people wouldn't think of spending a lot of money on a vacuum cleaner and instead buy a cheaper brand of less quality. I prefer to pay now for quality instead of paying later to replace a junky machine. My mom owned Electrolux and I'm glad she did because I was exposed to a quality product. I ordered two anti virus machines from them and they were shipped out the same day. Unfortunately FedEx was the shipping company and we ran into no end of problems. Marie went out of her way first in dealing with FedEx and finally, out of frustration, delivered a machine to my house on new year's eve. Marie at Electrolux is the best! Today I received my order, which arrived with lightning speed. Whenever I need service or an annual checkup for my vacuums, Marie has always been on the other side of the phone to send out a rep or mail new filters/bags to me. (I keep one vacuum at work and one at home, and I gave one to my boss too--I love Aerus-Elec vacuums, although I still can't convince my parents to get rid of their 1,000-pound Kirby... but you can't save the world ;) Very pleased with the full service I receive from Marie and the crew in Torrance. read more

I tried those "cheaper" bags found online. They tore in the vacuum and I had to replace the motor. You mentioned your mom's vacuum is over 40 years old. Did you ever consider that the reason it has lasted this long is exactly because she is using the well made bags the company has over these China made cheap ones? Stopped in the "store" to pick up some belts for my Kirby. I was considerably surprised that this store sells ONE belt at nearly a 1,200% (YES, TWELVE HUNDRED PERCENT!!!) markup. I ordered online with Kirby, a 3-pack of belts at $5.50 + S/H. I will never step foot in this store again. And yes they tried to sell me a "floor model" at half price $1,000. read more

The owner of HHS of Torrance- Borris Tilim This place is AWFUL. They are RUDE. They are taking advantage of people who buy their ridiculously priced items. I would give it less than 1 star if I could. I reccomend NO one go to this business. The scary thing is they apparently are all over Northern and Southern California. I would guess they are franchised? because the owner of this one knew NOTHING about being professional. He became angry- and didnt want to help me further- because I said it was way too expensive. They sell on commision, however he was the OWNER (or so he said) He had his elderly father there taking out trash, cleaning while he "handles customers" I really believe they target a group of people that are older, dont look around for better prices, and perhaps have money to spend, but when they dont, and when a customer doesnt take his bait-- watch out. The vacuum is really great, but my wife paid $1000.00 and I found a comparable one if not more user friendly for $299.00 at target and it was bag less . Then Gerald told her he would take the "burned out Kirby" as trade in, he knew what he was doing,fast talker told her it could be repaired but it would cost the same as a new one, he knew Kirby had a unlimited warranty on it. When I returned from my business trip, I tried to get the Kirby back and of Coarse they "Trashed it", anyone who knows Kirby knows the resale value was about 800.00. Buyer beware. Pay no more then $500.00 With a 5 year warranty if you do it's to much. I am in sales , I have a personal policy that everyone I do business knows exactly what they are purchasing and what will benefit there needs and pocket book. The $1000.00 was not the issue here, the fact is they know they over sold the product and stole a premium item and made no notes of a Kirby trade in on the invoice on purpose. There are 2 types of sales people, power sellers and honest ones. We purchased our canister vacuum cleaner from this Torrance location in 2013 and considering the cost at over $2,700, a higher level of customer service should be expected. After they recently picked up our vacuum cleaner for basic service, we did not receive a response for 2+ weeks. WE needed to phone twice, before finding out from Marie that the tune up service was still being performed. 3 days later the work was finally completed, but she stated that the return delivery would be delayed because the courier had some personal matters to attend. Another week later WE needed to call again, and confirmed the delivery person was back, but Marie still did not schedule the delivery. This left us no choice but to pick up our vacuum cleaner ourselves. Additionally when we inquired about replacement bags and filters, this Torrance dealer quotes were 40% higher than Aerus' (manufacturer) online website. When we asked why, the response was that the owner needed to cover his "overhead costs". WTF? We STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS VENDOR and after 3 generations of using Electrolux, our family will now look at other competitor's products for future purchases! read more
