This is the second time in a year that I've had to use a locksmith to get in to my apartment so I would say I have some experience with dealing with locksmiths. My experience with Affordable Locksmith was fantastic! I took them an hour to dispatch someone out but that's to be expected since I called 7am. And who am I to complain, I'm the space cadet that lost my keys! Once the technician Jeremy arrived he was able to get in to my apartment in 5 mins!! The last locksmith company I used took 3 hours!! The price was reasonable and I was able to get 3 additional keys made while he was there. My advice is...don't loss your keys. But if your a human and you do, call Affordable Locksmith. So yesterday when I tried to open my front door, the ancient doorknob totally jammed. The lock jammed, locking us inside our apartment. So yeah, it wasn't a Sunday funday. Thankfully, Yelp saved the day. I knew exactly where to turn to find someone to rescue us from the broken lock. Sure enough, my SOS was answered within 20 minutes and the locksmith arrived within 90 minutes to remove the lock/knob, replace it and makes us new keys. I lost my only car key to my 2010 Dodge Journey and originally was going to go to the dealership. But they were going to charge me $370 plus I had to tow it there. So I did my research and found that locksmiths were cheaper. So I looked up locksmith and this was the first place on yelp. The guy who helped me was really amazing. I called to get some info and he told me it would only be $250 for fobik and key. I told him I would get back to him when my hubby got home. We decided to use his services but I got distracted and didn't get back to him because we had to wait till Thursday to get paid. He messaged me to make sure that I wasn't stranded and worked with me knowing I had to wait a few days. As soon as I was ready, he showed up within ten minutes and had a key ready and set for me wishing 20 minutes. Really nice guy. I'm so satisfied and just so thankful I have my car back! I'm so thankful that this place exists! Every other place I asked for a quote to replace my Honda key wanted me to pay like $200. Here, I had a replacement plastic outside and the inside of my key still worked (it just cracked and the key wasn't whole). No one else would take the key apart to replace the plastic but these guys did. I think they quoted me like $75 and they did it. My key works great and I have no complaints. I'm stoked that I didn't have to spend a bunch on a key. The guy I spoke with also recommend that I get another key made but didn't force or push. It seemed like he legitimately cared so that was awesome. When I actually went in, the receptionist at the desk was really nice and friendly, too. It seems like it's a family business which I dig. I always thought "Aloha" was the way to go in Hawaii but I have a new go to locksmith now. A little shop tucked away off on Beretania and better yet near my office, I was super impressed with the service and the price. I found them through Yelp's request a quote service and not only did they respond quickly but came in with the best offer flat rate price for a transponder ignition key at almost half the price of most other quotes and I'm guessing a third less than a dealer would charge from the stories I've heard. The receptionist was very friendly and the locksmith came out to my truck to make sure the key worked before collecting any fee. Altogether it is a very professional service. THEY CARE!  Not only are they extremely competent and ethical but they care!  Mark and Richard at Affordable Locksmith went out of their way to save me money on a repair. Unfortunately I had to use Affordable Locksmith a second time.  Mark was here in less than an hour.  He quickly determined that he lacked the parts needed so he set up a little "fix" that allowed us to open and lock the door. Mark laid out some options that ranged from relatively inexpensive to expensive.  I said that it would be OK to go up to the expensive option.  He left saying that they would be in touch. A few days later they called saying they thought they had found a piece that would work well as an inexpensive option.  Richard and Mark had already ordered it for me with overnight delivery.  Mark came by to install it but then realized that the part wasn't going to work.  He left saying he would try to find another solution. After another few days Mark called saying he had a couple of options to try.  He was here in 10 minutes.  Mark had apparently asked locksmith friends if they had the part.  RIGHT PART!  He installed it in minutes and we were good to go!  He saved us a lot of money. I was asked to send a picture of my lock to the person on the phone, I got a call back with an additional $100 added to the quote. I was told the serviceman would be there in 30-45 minutes, got a call a hour later and said another 45 minutes. So two hours later I called and spoke with the operator who "ask me for a rain check" !!!!. Never in my life have I dealt with a business this unprofessional and unreliable. Unprofessional. I made an appointment for 1PM on a Thursday to have a copy of my car key made. I drove from Aiea to downtown with my two young kids in tow and arrived about 5 minutes early. Knocked on the door, no answer. Called the shop, got a recording that said please text his mobile. I texted his mobile to tell him I've arrived for the appointment. No response. 20 minutes later, I called again, this time the owner answered. Had no immediate recognition that we had an appointment and suggested I come back at five. Why would I come back? To waste my time again and to drag my kids all over town? I finally received a response to my text, offering to come to Aiea the next week. No thanks, you've lost a customer. AA, you may have good Yelp reviews but I'll take my business elsewhere. Even if the dealer is more expensive, at least they honor appointments and have respect for people's time. read more

I am unfortunate enough to be one of their customers who was actually locked inside my home. When they came, I was notified the lock on my door was so cheap it broke on the inside, which makes me raise an eyebrow at my property managers. I called hesitantly, coming up with the proper starting line, "Hi, I'm locked inside my home," "Hey, so I can't get out of my house." I went with, "The lock on my door broke, and the bolt is stuck, I can't open my door. I'm stuck inside." Richard was the one who took my call, but unlike all the other reviews, I didn't get to see him. Sean arrived in the Richard's stead. He said 30 to 45 minutes, and then they were here. I was quoted prices for drilling the lock ($75) and replacing the lock ($75). It was an interesting feeling, like being in a zoo, locked inside a cage. Yet, at the same time, I know what a vault feels like when someone is trying to break in. Sean was very informative, and answered all my questions. This new lock will be lasting a long time. WOW! This place is the real deal. I had been a lazy ass and delayed getting my car key remote fixed for almost a year. I know, how embarrassing. This place is jokes! I called this expensive place because I lost my car key. I explained everything in depth to them, they sent "JEREMY" out. He spent 2 hours trying to make a new key.. and was unsuccessful. He told me he didn't have the program to make the key . After I told them exactly what was going on! He said he'd have someone who had the program call me back, that evening.. it never happened. They never called back or came! So.. I was left to search for another locksmith! And found the Keyman!! Richard came to the rescue today to originate a key to my 96 Nissan. I broke my original key in half and I didn't have a spare. The Nissan dealership couldn't even help me. When he came, he was able to generate a key within a half an hour. All I can say is THANK YOU!! You folks are truly the best. A couple of weeks ago, as always I was rushing to beat the rubbish man outside to take my trash. As I hurried to grab my rubbish and everything around it, I forgot that the night before, I threw my keys down at the box when I was getting ready for bed. So of course, I picked up my keys with the box and ended up throwing it away. What a dumb move! Anyway, I asked around and lots of people mentioned multiple locksmith companies, but none that fit my budget. (BTW, I have a 2005 Dodge Neon which means I have a transponder key to use my car). A lot of locksmiths were saying $250-$300 and I had to bring my car to them. So because I wasn't about to pay $100 to tow my car to a garage, I came here on YELP and found this awesome locksmith. After emailing him about my situation, he was able to come out the very next day to come and do my key with no problem and hesitation. It made me more happy because he told me that he wasn't able to come until 3pm, but called me and said that he was able to meet me sooner! Totally awesome! He came to me and did my key in less than 15 minutes. Before I knew it, I had my key done, car running and only paid $175. I am truly happy and recommend them for any key needs.
