I wanted to update my review with more details because in our experiences, Joey Domingo has had great integrity and treated us fairly. Twice in the last two years he has given us quality customer care. Several months after we bought a Tundra, they honored the reimbursement for a second key and fob as negotiated (always get it in writing-this is true with any deal). Joey wasn't in town when we stopped in, but another rep looked it up for us and squared us up. Our family, relatives, friends and more know we can rely on Affordable Used Cars. This isn't to say that their inventory has only perfect cars, you still should do a test drive, see a car fax, and whichever other steps you do when car shopping. Saw a post about lug nuts not matching or other items, I think sometimes people don't realize they are buying a USED car that someone else owned previously. Sometimes people are shady to Affordable Used Cars and do dirty tactics to hide a mechanical issue for a sale - Affordable IMO does there best to reasonably work with a car they accepted. Even though vehicles are sold as is, they honestly try to work with people if someone is vocal about a car not performing right - most dealerships also run into this at times. They also are great at replacing windshields or comping that cost. I highly recommend this business and we will continue to refer people to go with Joey. Just bought a 2018 Crossktrek from them only to find out they charged me $1700 more than the price we agreed on. During negotiations we agreed on $18,200 down from $19,995 which was the sticker price. Only to be charged $80 under the sticker price because they rushed me through the paperwork as fast as they could. Weaseling $1700 out of a first time car buyer is absolutely disgusting scumbag practice. I'm partially to blame for not reading the price, and I learned a tough life lesson, but they've forever lost a customer and I will not recommend them to anyone. read more

Not a good place at all. My son and his girlfriend at the time got their first car here and it was nothing but problems. A 2012 Jeep Patriot Latitude purchased in 2018. Less than a year later, it needed a new tranny. $500 out of my pocket due to the terrible warranty they attach to the car to those unaware of their terrible plan. If you get suckered into buying a car here then do yourself a favor and get your own warranty. Due to other problems from electric and so on, this Jeep has sat for well over a year and has been nothing but an eyesore and headache. Gonna pay this car off for them and steer my son to a better dealer which luckily we have several (maybe even any other dealer is better). I'll check the next one for them and assure the dealer has done the same. If you love your kids, don't send them here. If you hate someone enough, send them here. When things go bad, they won't be there for you and will send you to there overpriced associates. Now on to help fix the gremlins in the Jeep so they can sell/trade this burden. They won't BS you. As for a vehicle breaking, you always have an option to purchase and aftermarket warranty for a fair price. The warranties have a deductible but most do. So straightforward and honest about numbers when it came time to buy. The fastest I've been in and out of a dealership too! Under two hours including getting my 2nd car for trade in from across town. What was to be a quick visit to perhaps ask a few pertinent questions pertaining to 2 vehicles I had researched online, in all actuality- turned out to be a galaxy trip to the Twilight Zone. Brian Cox, although attempting to be friendly, (some would say "snarky") was far more interested in watching the football game that was playing on TV, to care one wit about a customer in need of purchasing a car. Granted, we arrived approx. one hour to closing time last Sunday evening,and because of this, we would have been more than happy to make a return visit -that is- if we had been taken care of in a professional manner and been given a reason to come back. Apparently, ( having agreed to it myself) anyone and everyone can just come on in, get the keys to the car of their choice and go for a "test drive." And don't expect any help whatsoever with finding the car(s).This open and all too casual policy results in (as I noted) car's electronic controls being compromised, and interiors being damaged. I would call this sort of test drive more of a joy ride for many individuals and perhaps even employees. I should have known better when I read on Google that most people spend only about 20 minutes here. I am curious about all the 5 star reviews, because my experience wasn't anything near that. When you walk onto the lot you are not hammered and surrounded by hyper, fast talking, money seeking lunatics like at other car lots. Went in here yesterday to look at a 2008 Ford Focus. Yes, it was snowing heavily and, yes, there was a lot of snow piled up on the vehicles. We asked the person working if they wouldn't mind clearing the car off so we could look at it and possibly take it for a test drive. The guy just gave my husband a blank stare and said "well, it's pretty bad weather for a test drive." Uh-huh. We get that. We've heard that the salespeople at Affordable are hourly employees, but you'd think they might TRY to make a sale. I came in here to look a toyota. I was looking around for about 15 minutes without being helped thinking that it was actually nice to have a sales person hound you. So I went up to the office to see if I can check out the car and so Joe just hands me the keys. So I thought okay that is cool I can check it out by my self. Right when I enter, I get this blank stare from the young lady who was working the desk, who was just watching tv, who does not say anything until I tell her that I'm looking for Joe. Okay, this time I'm expecting him to actually go with me to check it out but he doesent. He seemed to have no knowledge about cars except that "Toyotas hold their value." I mean Cmon everyone says that. Can't you even just show the car before you sell it? So then we were talking about the pricing which I had a price point that I would like but he would not go down. (it is now listed cheaper online then what they were asking at first) It seemed like maybe since I was young he could get a quick sale but I didn't think any of this was right so I didn't pull through with the sale. He also says that it was detailed. Detailed?! There were wrappers in between cushions. Marks everywhere that could easily be cleaned off that were not from other people looking at the car. He then says it has been three months. You mean in the last three months people put wrappers and marks in the car? No way. Joe was just a lazy person who seemed to just want an easy sale. I am glad I did not buy from them nor will I ever refer them to another friend. Another thing that did not feel right was that Joe only put his first name in the purchase agreement. Drove a car we were interested in and when returning the keys asked the sales guy what the wiggle-room on the price was (considering the price was $4,500 above Edmunds FMV). The sales guy looked at us and said that the sticker price was the best he could do, then to add insult added, "There aren't many 4wd vehicles in your price range in Alaska, that is the best we can do".
