Came here to get the vegan ice cream! Luckily I, personally don't have any allergies but the person I was with does have a coconut allergy. We asked about the vegan ice cream asking if there was coconut and we were told "no", just almond. After purchasing cups, we left to take it home. I love ice cream and has fallen for this brand since I first tried them a couple year ago somewhere in Orange county. When they open in Pasadena I was so thrilled because it is much closer to me, then I found out they have one Rowland Height - fantastic more option wherever I am. First time trying this location and it was heart broken. This location is much smaller and not as nice as other locations. Immediately after I came in, I was shocked with a strong scent of bleach or some kind of cleaning chemical - very unpleasant. I understand it was a bit late (11pm) and they need to clean the shop but please use something with more pleasant scent. If it wasnt a brand that I trust, I would have left the store immediately. I would worry that they accidently let some cleaning solution in my ice cream. They have a rack of Hello Kitty tshirt and hat for sale but that look like a yard sale rack. Staff was nice. Ice cram quality is still the same. After we left, my friend told me there was a centipede crawling on the floor but he didnt want to make a big deal so he kept silence. I've been to other locations, this is my first visit to the Fullerton spot. We didn't really have to wait too long, short line but it went fast. I love that they let you try any ice cream and they make their own ice cream .. so it's a fun variety. Of course you have to try the milky bun, you get your choice of ice cream and one topping and it goes in a warm donut! I'd suggest non glaze or your donut sticks to the paper. While I understand since afters is located near csuf they will cater to college students, it is NOT suitable for families with young children. There is no seating and people were enjoying their ice cream in the middle of the parking lot. Fullerton is full of families who would love to enjoy ice cream with their kids. I know it's more economical to rent a small space but it's definitely not a way to maintain long term business. We ended up going down the street to inside skup where there was seating inside and benches outside. I've had afters in Fountain Valley and would have loved to try the one in Fullerton but the lack of space inside and outside the store makes it unappealing to come back. read more

Overrated ice cream that isn't helped by the rude ass kids working behind the counter. It's two kids running the store, no manners or customer service skills at all. These kids didn't grow up watching Mr Rogers and it shows. While I was on my buddy to pay another customer came to pick up. She left the door open behind her and the kid just yelled at her said, "shut the door behind you," she didn't quite understand and looked to he thrown off by his tone. They have a sign saying you need a mask, but half of the customers did not have masks. There were no social distancing signage, so the people behind us were really close to us trying to look at the flavors. There's also no signage to keep the incoming and outgoing traffic separated. I just wish they'd clean up the place a bit more, but the quality of their product does speak for itself in the end, so I will definitely keep coming back. I go to bed early for work so never got to try it, but always had to hear about it. So this location finally opens up right down the street from our apartment and we had to try it. We go in, and first things first - try all the flavors that look yummy. So after trying the flavors that looked tempting to me, I go with the obvious - Cookie Monster. That shit was unbelievable. This ice cream is blue (don't be afraid if it comes out blue, too), and mixed with different types of cookie, brownies, etc. I don't even know how to describe it. It's so good. The different cookie flavors and textures just mixes so well with the ice cream, that it's almost like you're experiencing an orgasm in your mouth. Not like THAT, but yeah... you get what I'm saying. Try that shit. I believe some locations have shakes, which I'm definitely trying next time. This is my favorite ice cream location. read more
