My father has Alzheimer's and reached a point where it was no longer medically safe for him to live independently. Their move to assisted living was not a choice -- it was a medical necessity. Despite extensive communication and documentation explaining these circumstances, the property management response was rigid, transactional, and strikingly lacking in compassion. The situation was treated purely as a contractual inconvenience rather than a human crisis involving cognitive decline and elder care. They also levied a "leasing commission" - $5500! - to re-rent the immaculately kept house that took exactly one day for them to re-rent. What was most distressing was not just the financial posture taken, but the tone: repeated legalistic arguments with no acknowledgment of my father's condition, no empathy for an elderly couple in crisis, and no effort to handle the situation with basic humanity. If you are a tenant who expects empathy, discretion, or flexibility when life takes an unexpected and serious turn, I strongly encourage you to think carefully before working with this property management company.

My goal was to secure reliable tenants paying market-level rent within a few short months. Lee Petty and his team were exactly the right folks for the job. They connected me with skilled, efficient tradespeople (electrician, carpenter, painter, professional cleaner) who did high-quality work at a fair price and had the place ready in short order. TPM also handled the rental listing and vetting of prospective tenants. Result: a beautifully upgraded townhouse that commanded the desired rental rate, inhabited by wonderful and responsible tenants who are well liked by their neighbors. While I've chosen for now to manage the tenants and property myself, TPM is available to take that over at any time. I recommend TPM very highly!

In cases where we have had minor maintenance issues, their service is prompt and impeccable from initial response to follow up after the work is addressed. I'd like to especially call out Tania and her team who've been nothing but great partners in ensuring their residents are happy in their homes. Anyone looking to lease from Foundation Homes shouldn't think twice.

I called Mike about a rental in Tiburon, as my husband and I are initially looking for a rental since his firm is moving us to Marin and we will be new to the area. Mike has a property listed that looked interesting to us, and I set up a time to see the property. He sent me the viewing instructions, which were to send the numbers on the lockbox when I arrive at the home, and I would receive the lockbox code. When my husband and I arrived at the home, we texted the numbers on the lockbox, and the automated system kept responding with a message to only send them the info requested. What?? So, we sent the numbers again. Same glitch message. I then called Mike's cell, twice, and got his voice mail. I then texted him to ask for entry help and to let him know about the glitch. He never responded. One day later, and still no response. That is really poor customer service.

We contacted them several months ahead of our target date for selling and their team was very helpful and supportive in guiding us through the inspections as well as in deciding what updates my wife's family's home of over 60 years needed to attract potential buyers. The photos and videos of the property were outstanding and the staging was beautiful. Ultimately the property sold a week after listing for 25% over the asking price with 7 offers. We were amazed and very appreciative of the expertise Barr and the Own Marin team provided.

This was the second home in Marin that he helped us get into and we are grateful for a smooth process both times, I can't recommend him enough. After we bought our new home, we looked to quickly turnaround and sell our other home in a somewhat slower market hoping to get it sold before the holidays. Barr's team moved quickly and professionally. The staging, photography, and marketing were all done at a high level, and he helped us sell our house within a week going to market - sold well over asking. He always took our phone calls, answered texts and emails and pushed through the process without a hitch. Thank you Barr and team for making this home buying and selling experience as seamless as possible.

If there were a ten star rating, I would gladly give it a ten. If it were not for a sudden job change, I would never want to leave this place. Our home is an upper level apartment with a stunning view of the town. From our bedroom window, we can even see the peak of the mountain. Sunset is my favorite moment of the day, when the sky turns soft pink and fills the entire view with warmth. During the rainy season, the scenery from our spacious balcony feels like a fairytale, with mountains wrapped in clouds and fog and the Corte Madera Creek flowing below. Living on the second floor gives us high ceilings, which make the space feel open and bright. The apartment has been beautifully remodeled with modern appliances and updated kitchen countertops. We also have a central cooling and heating system, which is rare in this area and makes a huge difference during warm summers. I truly enjoyed the beautiful landscaping and flowers throughout the community. I swam in the pool, worked out in the gym, and even made a good friend next door. The people here are genuinely kind and welcoming. Orland and Louis treated us like family, which made this place feel even more like home. Most importantly, I want to give special thanks to Gaea, the property manager. She is thoughtful, kind, and always ready to help, especially during difficult moments. She truly cares about residents and went out of her way to make our moving transition smooth and stress free. One of our family's most treasured memories is spending peaceful and happy time on the trail along the Corte Madera Creek just across the street. Woodlark is a tranquil and safe community with some of the best schools, making it an ideal place to raise a family. If I had to mention one very small drawback, it would be that gym access is a bit limited. Aside from that, Woodlark Residencies has exceeded all expectations and will always hold a special place in our hearts. As a bonus, online grocery deliveries are brought right to your door, which makes daily life incredibly convenient.

Great value for Central Marin. If I had one gripe, it would be the lack of guest parking/poor striping on existing hillside guest parking (people don't know how to park without striping- with striping you could fit 7-8 cars there, but people park badly so only 5 fit. Missed opportunity.) But that doesn't stop me from giving them 5 stars.

We were interested in one of their listings, bent over backwards to go see it on their terms, only for them to leave on vacation for a week and after assuring us they wouldn't be showing the house to anyone else, turn around and list the house and rent it to someone else. Throughout the process, we followed up repeatedly trying to ensure we didn't lose the property, and Cathy was unresponsive and evasive when we asked questions about the process and how we could expedite signing the lease. It was manipulative and a huge waste of our time to be pursuing and getting a heart set on a home they had no intention of renting us. I would never trust or choose to work with Cathy.
