I'm not gonna lie. I never thought I'd be writing a Yelp review for what I lovingly referred to as "Down the Throat and Up The Butt" but here I am. Dr. Dennis Riff and his nurse Tammi were wonderful. I had been putting this procedure off for years and due to issues, could no longer do so. From the first time I called Dr. Riff's office, I found him kind and caring. My mom had recently died of cancer so I was nervous. He personally called me back and got me scheduled sooner rather than later. The worst part was drinking the prep solution. My mother came in for a colonoscopy and her experience was absolutely wonderful. The entire staff was just so kind and patient, while going above and beyond to make an uncomfortable procedure as comfortable for my mother. Aislinn, Tammi, and Dr. Kuettel were names my mother wrote down to make sure we mentioned in our review. From the moment we got there, my mother was treated with kindness and care. Even while she was waiting, because her wait took longer than usual, the doctor checked to see if my mother was cold because the building tends to run a little cold. Out of habit, my mother said she was okay, but a few minutes later the doctor returned with a heating pad. This was all in between patients on a busy day! The fact that the doctor not only cared but remembered and took the time meant a lot. Everyone answered any questions my mother had, walked her through everything, and made sure she was both comfortable and confident in the care and treatment she was getting. On her way out, the nurse (I believe Tammi) was so kind and friendly with my mom as she pushed her out on the wheelchair, joking with her and telling her how happy she was that all her results were great. Honestly, this was an incredible experience. Each and every person brings a special skill and brightness to this location and if we ever need a procedure like this again, we will definitely come right back here and will recommend others to do the same. My first endoscopy experience was absolutely an amazing one despite the fasting and Suprep Bowel preparation prior to the procedure. I was well informed with sufficient information provided topped with friendly personal telecommunication reminders. This is the 5th colonoscopy I've had at AGMG and have always been very pleased with the professionalism of everyone from the front desk to the nurses doctors and support staff. This was my first time getting an endoscopy and colonoscopy since I'm 19. Cindy was very kind and explained everything making sure I understood. She walked me through the whole preparation for the procedure and answered all the questions I had. It was a surprisingly very pleasant experience for my first time getting the endoscopy and colonoscopy. The anesthesiologist was also very nice as she also comforted me before the procedure and walked me through the anesthetic process. It only took around 3 seconds for the anesthesia to kick in and I was out. Didn't wake up until after the procedure was done. Everything went smoothly and they wheel-chaired me out to the car.
