I went to get my colonoscopy today, I was scared and worried. To my surprises, besides waiting for 1 hr in the waiting room, I was treated quite well. From the friendly receptionists to wonderful nurses, Cindy & Ruth, I was put at ease and before I know it, the procedure went very well with no pain, results came out great. Tips: make sure you complete all paperwork and follow the processes to the T. No cheating, you almost have to fast for 24-36 hrs. And drink that nasty stuff ! read more

My experience at this office was quite pleasant.. Except for the long wait, which is why I'm only giving them four stars. I had an appointment scheduled for 11:00 am. When I make an appointment anywhere I expect them to be ready to see me at or close to around that time.. But here, I had to wait an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment. The nurses were very nice and made you feel so comfortable under the circumstances you were in. They gave a lot of information and was very attentive. I chose general anastesia to knock me out before the procedure and before I knew I was woken up and told that my procedure was over.. All the nurses made sure I was feeling ok and even gave me a courtesy call the next day! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone! read more

11 o'clock appointment still waiting 2.5 hours later. Customer service 0. No one keeps you informed on how long your wait will be at the beginning or during. Waiting room was packed when we got here. It was a bad sign from the start. Didn't realize how bad it would be. They talk about lunch and bring food in knowing most people haven't eaten anything for over a day. Just rude and insensitive. 0 stars if I could. So I left for an hr after my wife went in at 1:15 (Appt was at 11). It's now 230 and the waiting room is completely empty. The last patient I saw come in, just went in. I think these people need to learn how to schedule appointments throughout the day so there isn't a 2.5 hr wait. Idiots!!! As I'm sitting here in the waiting room I'm listening to a patient (Irwin) calling in to confirming his appointment for tomorrow. He is schedule and the employees and nurses keep putting him on hold while they are coming up with a lie about why he's not on the schedule and they are blaming him. They are telling him to reschedule. He has already started the prep. They know they have been busted because they closed the privacy glass on me! Incompetent buffoons. read more

No one likes getting a colonoscopy but having such friendly, caring and knowledgeable staff makes it better. The first phone to schedule my appointment and the follow up call before my appointment with the front office staff was superb. Very informative and caring. The day of the appointment everyone was so caring. From the front office staff to the anesthesiologist and my nurse. Everyone made sure to explain what was going on so you knew what to expect. I'm impressed with Dr. Riff he is very informative and straight to the point doctor, but in the most informative way. So I came here for abdominal issues that have been going on for 7 months 24/7. The moment I walked into the office I was greeted and guided by one of the staff members to fill out all necessary paper work. I was then asked to wait in the waiting room and 10 minutes later I was taken to a room for further evaluation where Dr. Riff did a thorough evaluation and went ahead and ordered an endoscopy procedure to be done. Come procedure day I go into a different office for the procedure where it was being held and was put into hospital clothes and then taken to a room where one of the nurses Tammi and DR. Riff were waiting for me. They explained everything that was being given and everything that was going to happen which really put me at ease. So they go on with the procedure and it takes about 15 minutes and suddenly I wake up without feeling any discomfort which made it such an easy and fast recovery process. However the results came back normal and i am still suffering from this abdominal pain, but I do have an upcoming colonoscopy so let's hope (fingers crossed) that all goes well. read more

Sadly, I've been here more times than I'd like to admit. The upside is that I have always been greeted by a friendly and professional staff. The waiting room is small, but the staff is warm and efficient, and they keep you well informed about what to expect. At the conclusion of the procedure you usually get feedback about the results, avoiding that dreaded, "You doctor will tell you what we found." It's a relief to walk out with knowledge that it's all good after a rough couple of days of prep and procedure. I'd highly recommend AGMG Endoscopy Center. read more

My colonoscopy today performed by competent dr winkle was thorough and painless. Facility seemed clean and organized. No one loves these things but it's an important avenue to screen for cancer so well worth it. Nurse Cindy DiTommaso was the best part of the screening, a kind, extremely efficient professional & great human being who made the entire experience almost pleasant. She sets up a great iv too. The deep sleep was wonderful. The staff at AGMG made going through the screening a piece of cake. Don't put yours off - Could save your precious life. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Our appointment was scheduled for 6am, and the receptionist was late. The excuse we were given was she lives in Corona. I have been going to this facility since 2015 and like every other facility there are good great and AMAZING staff. I must say this time the customer service was awesome from check in to check out. The front office very courteous professional and gives you the time to make you feel not like you are just another patient but a real person, which that lacks in offices that I have been to visit, but I must say my Nurse Cindy was outstanding from the time she took me back until wheeling me out to my ride, she is very kind, very comforting and overall AMAZING. I had a very positive experience when I had my colonoscopy at AGMG. Although I had to wait a very long time in the small waiting room (hour and a half), once everything got rolling it was fine. The staff was very courteous (I believe Tammi was my nurse) and explained everything that was going to happen and the anesthesiologist and gastro doctor did the same. They made sure that I was comfortable. Dr. Winkel performed the procedure. Although I at times felt like I was part of an assembly line, it was probably because they do so many of these procedures every day. After I woke up from the anesthesia with no memory and feeling somewhat refreshed and relieved, Tammi wheeled me to the front entrance where my friend was waiting. One thing I really appreciated is that someone followed up with a phone call the next day to make sure I was ok. Very nice! As everyone says, the worst part of getting a colonoscopy is the prep the day before and drinking all that nasty liquid. The rest is quite easy. However my follow up visit was not pleasant. I had to wait more than 2 hours in waiting room for a 10 minute follow up visit (to report findings) with Dr. Riff. His tact and manner left something to be desired. read more

I have had an office visit and subsequently a colonoscopy. The office visit went smoothly and I was taken on time for my appointment. I saw Dr. Kuettel for my office visit and feel that he was thorough in discussing my medical history and current issues. I left with an appointment made for a colonoscopy and full instructions on how to prepare for the colonoscopy including dietary instructions beginning 7 days prior. Everyone in the office was very nice including the front desk check in, Dr. Kuettel, and the scheduling nurse. When I arrived for my colonoscopy everyone was nice beginning at the front desk check in, the nurse who would be with me through the procedure and the anesthesiologist. My procedure started as scheduled and everything went smoothly. When the procedure was completed they called my son and gave him instructions on where to pick me up. I left with follow up instructions including what to do if any symptoms etc. The following day the Drs office called to check on me which I very much appreciated! I will have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks. I would recommend Associated Gastroentology Medical Group. They have taken good care of me! read more

I want to tell you, this is the second time I had a Colonoscopy there and once again everyone there is so caring. My Husband has also been there and once we got there at 6 AM they started the paperwork. When I was called in, Tammi (my nurse) was with me the entire time. She was so caring and made sure I was ok and answered every question I had. When Dr. Winkle came in he was right to the point of what he will do, made sure if I had any questions to let him know. After my procedure, Tammi went and talked to my Husband informing him of everything that went on. She was very detailed and made sure he was aware of my procedure. These people are very special. I walked into their office in pretty terrible pain. My abdomen was in knots and felt like I had a rock in it. Dr Riff immediately dove into trying to understand what was going on with me. As he asked me questions I really got a strong sense that he truly cared and has a passion for his work. He took extra time to make sure he got all details of my situation. After all that was done he set me up for a same day endoscopy. He ensured I was able to get squeezed into their tight schedule by addressing his staff directly about everything that needed to happen to get me in on short notice. Needless to say, I felt very cared for and taken care of. Dr Riff introduced me to Cindy who is a nurse here. She was great and ensured I was able to get blood work done as well as the procedure. She said "don't worry, we will get this figured out" I felt like I found the right people to help me figure out what the heck was going on with my digestive system. They did. The entire staff here is great. From Aislin to Dr Riff to Cindy, and even the intern who was working that day. The whole team here is top notch. I would recommend these guys to anyone. Although the staff is kind, the wait time is absolutely unacceptable. Waiting for 2 hours to even be SEEN is ridiculous, but more so when most patients have either not consumed foods or liquids in 12+ hours or have been drinking the necessary liquids for colonoscopies. The waiting room is very small and cramped, and he television doesn't even play entertaining things- just medical information. No apologies from the staff, either. Why schedule appointments when they are completely void. I would either schedule the earliest appointment possible or go to a different facility. If you're coming here post-10 AM, don't schedule anything for the rest of the day... You're not going anywhere! read more

If I could give no stars to complete this review I would. I brought my mom in for her colonoscopy at 10:30 am to leave at 1 pm and not get colonoscopy done. After 2 1/2 hours of waiting my mom had enough and threw in the towel. Come to find out another lady that was waiting coincidentally had an appt at the same time with the same Dr. It amazes me how unmindful the office can be of people's time and have no regard that an elderly lady has been on an empty stomach for such a long period of time and don't even have the courtesy to keep you updated with what's going on. My wait time was only about half an hour both times but my appt was at 7am and 8am respectively. The first time, I was scheduled for an EGD plus colonoscopy. I paid cash for the propafal that they recommend "since insurance won't pay for that." (Guess what? I had an EGD earlier in the year and yes, my insurance picked it up that time. No time to argue. Just pay for the ****stuff.) That day, only the EGD was performed because my bowel prep was not totally "successful." The colonoscopy was immediately stopped and I woke up. I was assured that I would NOT be charged for the failed colonoscopy and they would "bill it as incomplete." No, I found out a few days before my 2nd colonoscopy that it was definitely billed to the insurance company and insurance actually paid for both the EGD and incomplete colonoscopy. 3 phone messages to the billing gal and no return call! (BTW, they also found that yes, my insurance company will pay for propafal so they billed insurance for it for my 2nd colonoscopy - which was successful by the way.) So now I am receiving a bill from AGMG for those 2 procedures performed on the same day (which includes the incomplete colonoscopy that I was NOT supposed to be charged for). I'm assuming I will then receive yet another bill for the successful colonoscopy. Again, no reply from the billing gal, Carol. Unacceptable and unprofessional? You bet! My advice to you: Get an appt very early in the morning.....and if you have trouble with constipation and your bowel prep is even the slightest bit "still going," ask them if you can come back the next morning. Do not have it done because even though they tell you they will not charge you for the failed attempt, they bill your insurance company and you as well! Don't even bother trying to reach the billing gal. She never replies to your messages! Other than that, the nurses and doctors are PHENOMENAL! It's not their fault their accounting and billing people SUCK. read more

Wait time horrible. Incorrect dose on medication twice. No return calls. Waiting on hold then disconnected only to find out they were at lunch by the exchange. Treated poorly if you don't sign up for one of the studies. Even though lab work shows problems, they do nothing to help correct it. This has been the worse care I've ever received. I took my daughter there for an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Here is my experience waiting for her: 1. Told it would be about an hour to hour and a half. At 2 and a half hours, I asked for an update. 2. While waiting, you have to listen to their colonoscopy medical channel. Try that for 2.5 hours... And they have these benches that are from 1970 and are impossible to be comfortable sitting on. 3. A technician flirting with the girls in the reception booth at one point blurts out "time of death,..." Why would you say that in a place that administers anesthesia? Is patient care and survival a joke?! 4. Another technician walks into the reception booth finishing a conversation with "I've received plenty of subpoenas from patients". Really?! This place is completely unprofessional, complacent about patient care and I will advise anyone I know not to go there if at all possible regardless of how well they perform the procedure because their staff obviously has no concern for patients or family members. Just like a restaurant, good food does not make up for lousy service. read more

AGMG made my experience very pleasant. A colonoscopy isn't a fun thing to go through, but the staff made all the apprehension unnecessary. Nurse Fabi was fabulous. Maybe they should add the "ulous" to her first name. Kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. She took great care to treat me right. Dr. Popa, anesthesiologist, was outstanding and explained exactly what was going to happen. Dr. Kuettel performed the procedure and when i woke up, it was as if nothing happened. They called me to come in at 11am because they had a cancellation. Mind you, they never leave messages, I have to call back and play "hold please" until someone says they called. Check in is standing room only and really dirty. Two hours after I check in I'm still in the waiting room. I ask the front desk how much longer to go in, and she, eating lunch at the front desk, says you're next. I wasn't next. I'm fasting, my husband who had to drive me is also wasting his time waiting just for me to go in, and then gets to wait some more. The whole office has food brought in and takes a lunch break. These patients, including me have NOTHING in there stomachs for over a day in preparation for this. That's unhealthy and causes lasting negative effects on your metabolism. I feel like I'm in a third world country and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Even at my age I was filled with anxiety about my procedure but, the anxiety could not have been more unwarranted. My experience was the best you could hope for. A little scared for my first Colonoscopy! I could not have asked for a better place. The staff was professional and caring from the minute I walked in the door to taking me outside for my ride home. Within minutes they had me feeling very comfortable and situated me for my procedure. Dr. Brian Riff spoke with me about the procedure and explained what he was going to do. He also followed up after the procedure with a quick overview. My primary Nurse Tammi was with me from start to finish, which was very comforting. Her professionalism and compassion was obvious. Always pausing to ask if I had any questions. She gave clear instructions and explained things at a nice pace, never in a rush. Tammi went over the aftercare information before I was taken downstairs by Lovely Lady who was bubbly and eager to help and popped in and out to see if she could do anything. Highly recommend them! First time ever getting a colonoscopy! I transferred over from the Orange Agmg center and won't be going back to the other location. The staff/dr. was so much more friendly and welcoming at this Clinic. Moving to the OC from Seattle I noticed a huge difference in my experience at clinics, most of the ones that I've been too have been super rushed and not focused on the service aspect of their job at all. So it was really refreshing to be treated at this clinic where EVERYONE had a smile on their face. Also my nurse Cindy was super sweet as well. Kept me very calm throughout and constantly checked up on me before and after the procedure. I had dr. Kevin Kuettel perform my colonoscopy and he was awesome. All I remember was the first 10 seconds of the procedure and next thing I know it was done. And I only received the conscious sedation, so that surprised me that I knocked out. AGMG offices (examination and procedure waiting rooms) have notices asking clients to wait patiently because of concern for patients and quality of care the doctors provide. However, they routinely stack up patients like cattle.They schedule patients to maximize the revenue of the doctors and minimize doctor's wait time. It's all about money. Waiting 90 minutes in the waiting room before a procedure is not quality care. Violated patient rights in at least four ways despite statement provided to patient regarding nature of service to expect. Choice of doctor for initial visit violated. Botched the request for anesthesia to insurance so that patient faced prospect of being fully awake during colonoscopy. Wait time excessive (hour and a half) not owing to any special event in terms of other patient care. When questioned about why patients wait so long, the nurse indicated that the doctors prefer this method of scheduling. Choice of doctor for procedure violated. Nurses, office manager and physicians all silently collude to maximize revenue. It is so routine that they do not think that how they function is a problem. The ethics of the physicians (Riff and crew) and entire staff are highly questionable. They do not actually provide informed consent to patients because how they function is completely different than the values they espouse and convey to patients. read more

Had a Upper Endoscopy and I was very pleased with the service and the care of the nurse. The front office took my info. no biggy there but what matters the most is what goes on in the back. The nurse (Jen) from the moment that she took me in was very pleasant, professional and explained everything. When I went under I didn't feel like I was in bad hands. Great experience here, there is a wait but they also wipe down everything it's not a huge office but medium size to get in and out and there is a lot of people going through there. read more

I had my 3rd colonoscopy and my 1st Upper Endoscopy this morning, 9.22.17. Again, I was met by a caring and very professional staff. I was nervous even thou it was my third visit. Dr. Winkle who performed my procedure and Tammy my nurse made me feel extremely comfortable and let me know what was going on each step of the way. Tammy returned my call this afternoon when I had a question within minutes. My anesthesiologist, I apologize for not remember her name, was very professional and personable. Today I went in for my first colonoscopy. I was very nervous and anxious but the compassionate smiles and professional attitudes from the staff made me feel at ease. I had a great RN nurse named Elizabeth who gently guided me through my paperwork, prepped me, and placed me into the room where colonoscopy was performed. My anesthesiologist named Mr. Jon Bennett put me at ease immediately with his beaming and humorous demeanor. My gastroenterologist named Dr. Kuettel was professional and calm as he did a brief medical review with me. He is bilingual in Spanish. Prior to my colonoscopy, I signed up for Propofol anesthesia as opposed to twilight sedation with AGMG. I was not conscious during my colonoscopy. After the procedure was done, I woke up with a calm ease and no side effects. It took only 15 minutes since I had no polyps and no cancer. I had to pay for the Propofol anesthesia on the day of my procedure since my insurance did not cover it. My insurance only covered the twilight sedation where you actually are conscious during the colonoscopy and there are more side effects. The staff wheelchaired me to the lobby where my friend picked me up front. Afterwards, we ate at the reasonably priced cafeteria in the main hospital which is literally next door to AGMG. The hospital cafeteria only takes cash. Valet parking is free at the hospital but please check if it is only for certain times etc. In the lobby of the medical building where AGMG is, there is a reasonably priced snack bar that sells Starbuck Coffee, refridgerated assorted salads, fruits, and snacks that closes down at 2pm. read more

The Staff was very pleasant and attentive. They were extra thorough in taking my background and understanding any problems that might occur because of past medical history. Being nervous they calmed me by showing they would be there: I would be constantly attended and safe and I felt safe and trusted them as they began the anesthesia then BOOM it was all over with the DR explaining what had been found and allowing me time to awaken completely before I dressed. read more
