We went on a Friday night to celebrate our anniversary. There were some high and lows of the food. They gave us a beginning taste of a crispy artichoke. I enjoyed the bite size but I was not expecting it to be warm on the inside and nice and flakey on the outside. It was a great beginning. The seafood chowder had an abundance of fresh seafood with large chucks of lobster yummy! My husband did enjoy his branzino but was unimpressed with the vegatables. I didn't like my rack of lamb because the demi glaze/sauce tasted like a plain brown gravy that came out of a packet. The beet salad was not worth $12. I son't bot recommend it. It didn't have many greens. Overall the food was good and I would come back to try something else like duck but what really left me with a sour note was the hostess asking us to finish up because they needed the table. We weren't even there 1.5 hours and I had one sip left of my wine. There were other tables there longer then us! read more

I have been to some excellent restaurants in the past such as Per Se, The Gotham Bar and Grill, Jean Georges, Vetri, Laurel, and Le Bernardino to name a few. I was recommended Agua Bistro by a friend and was impressed. The meal was excellent. My filet was one of the best pieces of beef I have ever had. It was prepared the way I ordered it cooked. The escargot was a tasty appetizer as well. My Wife had eggplant parmigiana and she throughly enjoyed it. The vegetables that were served with the filet were tasty and crisp. The mashed potatoes were excellent as well. Two minor complaints I had was that the room was not comfortable. (No shades on the window and sun was shining on us while we ate.) and the waiter was inexperienced but he was trying his best. We were offered a better table in another room by the hostess when we arrived, but we opted for the warmer room. By the way, it was 97 degrees outside when we arrived. We will return soon for sure and this will be on our list as a keeper. When it's all said and done it's really all about the food, right? Hence the five stars. To need to try the new restaurant. We have dinner here Saturday night. Superb service, especially in light of the American staff shortage thing. Friendly, multiple servers, welcoming and charming owner-hostess. Experience tells. We missed getting the covered and decorated wrap porch, a lovely outdoor space. Cosy inside, not too loud. Great in winter I imagine. Decorated Med coast style. Is there better and more ambitious food in north Montgomery County ? LMK - I haven't found it. Lots of what I call evolved Bar Food, several are excellent at that. Hotel food maybe. In any case, the Med French output at Agua is special and welcomed for an occaision. Hats off the the chef and the front of the house. My wife's and our son's roommate porkchops were first rate. She said best ever. Our son devoured his rack of lamb rather too quickly! I had the venison just to get outside my usual lamb or veg zone. Delicious. I say try to get the specials. Oh, we had mini calamari on lettuce to share. Quite fine. Seems like better ingredients than usual. The meat and cheese board was average IMO. PLUS PLUS PLUS BYOB. You pay a couple bucks more for that; well worth it. All good and most highly recommended. We'll be back when the young man completes his first semester! . read more

Fixed price Valentines dinner. The restaurant is in an old converted house in an area not well known for fine dining. This is a hidden byob gem. We were seated immediately near the door but no breeze was ever detected. The waiter brought a couple of artichoke hearts to try. Good start. I had the lobster bisque. It could have been a bit warmer and the lobster bits were actually cold. Taste was good so I was holding out judgment. My date had the class and was very pleased with freshness and the garlic hot sauce. Hot fresh crusty on the out and light and fluffy on the inside rolls were also served. The filet was next. Cooked perfectly with a gravy, aux gratin potatoes and asparagus. Melt in your mouth tender. My girl had the sea bass which was excellent as well with whipped potatoes. Dessert topped off the evening with creme brulee and a chocolate hazelnut cake. It was so hard to share the creme brulee, it was SO good. Must have been love. Over all was very pleased with the experience. Will definitely be back for the full menu. read more

Exceptional service and delicious food. Everyone commented on how good the food was. This place is also BYOB so you can save money on the alcohol By bringing your own. I ordered short ribs that fell apart and melted in your mouth. Charcuterie boards were the special appetizer. Very good. We had a private room for our group who was there for my friends 40th. I would highly recommend this place for a small group event and or dinner with a loved one. Reasonable prices for how much food they give you and very good. read more

We live right down the street and this is the first time we've tried this place. We came here for my husband's birthday and had one of the best meals ever! The staff was very welcoming and ALL the food was absolutely amazing! We had the calamari, Caesar salad, beet salad, short rib dinner, salmon dinner, crème brûlée, tres leches, churros and macaroons: There wasn't one thing we eat that we disliked. The food was amazing. It's gourmet style and all very appetizing. The servers were very polite and attentive. It was a cold evening but it appears some outdoor seating would be nice to take advantage of if available and heated. My only criticism is that it was very loud inside. There are acoustical solutions for restaurants that I've seen work very well for absorbing loud noise from conversation. read more

My wife and I had dinner last night at Agua Bistro in Eagleville. It was our first time at the restaurant, but we both look forward to going back real soon. Everything about this place was special ... the ambience, the service, the menu as well as the time our waitress gave us to enjoy our meal together. We started off with the burrata salad and the brussels sprouts and both were prepared exactly as we like them. For our entrees, we had the salmon and the bone-in pork chop. I have never ordered a pork chop at a restaurant, but the photo on Agua Bistro's website convinced me this was the right choice. I have to admit, the pork chop was the most tender and tasteful chop I have ever had and the gravy included with the chop was absolutely delicious. So I waited till after my third visit to write a review. Probably for selfish reasons because this is my new favorite place. The food is absolutely delicious. Some of our favorites are the calamari, the beet salad, homemade lobster ravioli, and absolutely incredible homemade soups and desserts! The whole staff is so accommodating. Maria treats you like family the minute you walk in the door. Her husband is the chef and it is so nice to get a chance to meet him at the end of the evening when he checks to make sure you enjoyed your meal. The wait staff is phenomenal. This is a BYOB just so you are prepared. Menu offered some interesting dishes. We had escargot and a roasted beet salad. Both were outstanding. I love any opportunity to have escargot. For dinner we had lobster ravioli and braised short ribs. There were plenty of other very appealing dishes so menu choices seemed great. Both of our entrees were very good. My braised short ribs came with mashed potato, carrots, green beans and broccoli. They had a ton of flavor which I think is pretty impressive for carrots. Dessert was two cappuccinos which were very well done. Foam you could spoon out of the cup. Our server was great. I'm a true believer now. A hidden gem. We will be back. read more

Agua Bistro was our first restaurant to try once the restaurant restrictions were lifted. And, I'm glad it was. The menu is simple but offers all diners something delicious. The outside dining was exactly what we needed especially after quarantine. I recommend the double bacon cheeseburger and the mushroom pasta, as shown below. The double bacon cheeseburger was prepared with fresh ingredients and was cooked nicely with a crispy side of French fries. The mushroom pasta was cooked "al dente" with fresh mushrooms in a light sauce. I can't wait till I visit Agua Bistro again! read more

Good not great Wifey and I decided to go to dinner and we wanted to try Agua Bistro so I called and they got me a 6:30PM same day reservation. Person on the phone was super nice and friendly. She even reminded me to bring a bottle of wine as it's BYOB. We arrived right before a huge rainstorm. We checked in, they showed us to our table and offered to keep our umbrella. The warmth of the staff was genuine and made me feel good. They were truly happy to see us. I can tell this family enjoys what they do because a big table next to us was waiting out the rain and the staff made rain ponchos out of trash bags for the kids of that group. No God awful chain restaurant would ever do that. We ordered the calamari appetizer. Wifey ordered the seafood paella on the waitress recommendation (over the lobster ravioli special). I ordered the fish special. Calamari came out very hot but inconsistent. Some pieces were tender. Others were chewy and rubbery. I've always been told if it's rubbery it's over cooked. Entrees arrived. My fish was really good. Tender, flaky and the sauce / veggie accompaniment was good. The paella that wifely got was "meh" at best. It lacked seasoning and all the seafood was over cooked. Somewhat disappointing as paella for a Mediterranean restaurant should be a standard. We might have caught them on an off night. I will definitely try them again simply because the people were awesome. We were hoping for a great romantic date night place and we got "good". I still want to try a few things on the menu and the staff are awesome so i may revise this review later. read more

Our group of 14 had a wonderful dinner on the porch at Agua Bistro last night. They did a great job juggling so many orders, and we loved that it was a BYOB. The brussel sprouts appetizer was delicious and plenty to share. I had the beets with goat cheese and it was so good. The group also loved the mushroom ravioli, short ribs and chicken parm. Saw the rave reviews on Yelp for this place, so we came to check it out on Wednesday night. The place certainly lives up to the review. We had the mushroom bisque, beets salad, escargots, Fettuccini Ala Vodka, and the Bronzini special. Everything, including the breads and butter, were great. The dishes were seasoned perfectly, served quickly (the place was not crowded that night), and the portions were large. BYOB is a plus. Definitely will be back & highly recommended. read more

You don't need to head into the city for a fine dining experience. Aqua Bistro has the ambience and the most delicious food for the discriminating diner. The Chef's tasting menu served us nine outstanding courses; each appropriately spaced out so we could take time to enjoy and savor. The dishes definitely hit upon the French- Mediterranean palate, where some held delicate, herbal flavors and others richer and bolder. By their presentation and taste, it's obvious that the Chef takes great pride in the food he serves. Excellent food! The flavors are consistently good, it's hot, well seasoned and you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. I love when I can taste some saltiness but it's not overwhelming. We're so happy each time we visit. Our most recent trip was for our anniversary. The service and staff are wonderful. Absolutely must go to Agua bistro!!!! Everything was perfect. We started with the calamari, I had the roast beef tenderloins, my husband the duck, and we were truly blown away with the meal. When dessert came we were SO impressed. I tried the apple blossom and haven't stopped thinking about it since. My husband had the crème brûlée cheesecake (was a special for the night) and truly believed it's the best cheesecake he has ever had. 10/10!!! And the service was flawless. Had the shrimp cavatelli with rose vodka sauce split as an appetizer. Wife had the scallops, and I had the swordfish. Everything was as good as it gets. The toasted bread was a great touch and the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was over the top.
