Ordered around 3/4 appetizers they came out in less than 10 mins !! I also love how they staggered our rolls to not get all at once that was neat. There is a reason this place has 5 stars. Husband and I had visited this location back when it was another sushi place. We were struck at the time by how dark it was, and never returned. We saw the 5 star review and decided to check it out. When we we walked in yesterday, we were immediately struck by how bright, open, and clean it was. The employee that greeted us was kind and accommodating. Service was incredibly quick and everyone was not only friendly, but seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. Drinks were served quickly. They have a nice selection of beer and wine, and pricing is incredibly reasonable. Food was wonderful. We tried 3 different rolls and an order of calamari. Everything was rolled well, the seafood tasted fresh, and the calamari was perfectly cooked. We will back - this gem is well worth the wait! read more

I have been here 3 times and I always forget to take pictures of the food I get from here. A few of my go-to are yellowtail sashimi, Romeo & Juliet Roll (no Rice; no wrapper), Yellow Submarine, & Lion King. The service is wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant clean & ambience can be for everyday dining and perfect place to come celebrate a special event. The fish taste fresh. No fishy taste. They even give you complimentary miso soup. They serve your food pretty fast. Lol when I order because I order like 7 rolls and have to play shuffle the plates or move sushi to another plate just to make room. I wouldn't mind if they put my order on one big plate so I can I have room on the table. I will definitely be going back whenever I crave some good sushi!!!!! You guys should check them out too!!! We have been going to another restaurant for many years. I went to my regular spot the other day it was a couple times in a row that we have had not the best or very fresh fish so we decided to try another. I'm very picky about fish so I was calling around seeing who had what kind of salmon and this place had an answer that I liked so I gave it a try. Absolutely nothing fell short. The staff is super friendly to the point where we were laughing (not in a bad way) at 1 of the waitresses that is so happy and so bubbly. Now the important part if you're on here you're probably trying to find out about their food. The sushi was absolutely great. The initial vibe was warm and inviting. We ordered the Heavenly fresh sushi to start. Salmon, tuna, crab and avocado rolled in a thin strip of cucumber sitting on ponzu sauce with a spring mix salad nestled in cucumber peel. Light and delightful! My husband had their Chicken Ramen and I ordered the Salmon Teriyaki and Tempura dinner. The portions were bigger than expected. The ramen soup was flavorful. It was loaded with lots of chicken chunks and vegetables. My salmon teriyaki was delicious, a little overcooked but better than most. The tempura was good. The batter was a little heavier. Best Sushi in Town! As a sushi lover, I've been to a lot of places and tried sushi in Bakersfield, I will honestly say that this place tops it all. We ordered the Hama Hama, Crazy Horse, and Bay Scallop. When we ordered the Bay Scallop, the chef gave us an extra roll for free! Really quite good. Nice seating area, very clean and modern. Servers were quick, friendly and efficient. I had the saba and unagi and a summer breeze roll with edamame to start. It was all quite good though the roll was a little inconsistent from piece to piece. Could also use a couple of bento boxes k the menu. Many people and I prefer some terryaki and tempura with a little sushi on the side but this was not available for dinner. read more
