Very disappointed, the menus has changed. I want the bbq chicken but was informed they no longer have that item and they were out of chicken so chicken dishes. So, I ordered the beef cabbage salad (see pictures) and the box felt light as a feather I even ask is there food in here? I have eaten here many times in the past , but this will be my last time Mary was my server, she was very nice and helpful. I give her 4 stars but the food experience is a 2 The restaurant decor had not changed. Under new management.

For a Vietnamese restaurant in St. George, Utah, the pho here is pretty good. It was slightly more on the sweet side than I'm used to, but I don't have any objections. They seemed to be fully stocked on sriracha which is surprising, and when we needed more limes, the man at the front helped us. He seemed to be quite busy as he has been the only person we've ever seen at the FOH, which isn't an issue for me. I will definitely be back for when I'm craving a bowl of pho, and I'm missing the authentic stuff. We have come while they were closed so we just called in advance to make sure they were open, but otherwise the experience was quite solid!

Pork cabbage salad

I love the pork cabbage salad. It always makes a great lunch during the summer heat of St. George.

Solid asian food for Saint George. I recommend the special fried rice along with any of their vietnamese noodle soups.

Do you offer vegan/gluten free menu items? Thanks!!

Yes to gluten free. A few months ago he also let me know that he created a vegetable broth for vegans. I don't know whether or not it stuck around. You could call and ask.

Our server accommodated our allergy to fish, but we couldn't help him understand that we wanted peanut sauce instead. He thought we didn't want fish sauce or peanut sauce. Luckily, the alternative sauce he proposed was very tasty. The pho with steak was very delicious as was my pork chop meal. Portions were large enough that I have enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

It did the job in the most basic sense, but overall, it was pretty underwhelming. We ordered pho tai for my husband and the kids, and I went with a grilled chicken rice dish. The food wasn't terrible, but it didn't really hit the spot either...just kind of mediocre across the board. The broth lacked that depth and richness you hope for in a good pho, and the grilled chicken dish felt a bit forgettable. One thing that stood out was that the place was nearly empty during what should've been a busy lunch hour, which in hindsight probably said a lot. Also, not seeing a proper com tam option under rice category on the menu should've been a bit of a red flag for a Vietnamese spot. All in all, it's okay if you're in a pinch and craving something warm, but it's not somewhere we'd go out of our way to visit again.

Our server was friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. I enjoyed the Pad See U and my dining partner had the teriyaki chicken. I'm excited to come back and visit again!

We drove in…read morefrom Vegas that morning for the day and we worked up quite the appetite after 9 miles of hiking. We were looking forward to some yummy hot food. My husband ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and I ordered the Garlic Chicken & broccoli. We shared an order of Rangoons. If I'm being perfectly honest the food was just ok IMO. I purposely ordered my dish with no sauce bc I don't care for my food to be swim in a sodium, sugar & oil mixture masking whatever flavor the protein & veggies present on their own. I actually WANT to taste them. I didn't expect my mind to be blown by my dish for that reason. I knew what I was getting & honestly my food was very good. The chicken breast was good quality, cooked nicely and cut into small bite sized pieces as was the broccoli. Just what I wanted. Now I DID want to splurge a bit which is why we got the fried stuff too. Now for the not so impressive part. The stuff that was supposed to blow my mind bc it was fried, came with sauce and lots of spice just fell flat. The Rangoons had very little flavor. They were even slightly under cooked it seemed. The corners were the only part that were crispy and the part closest to the middle was barely cooked. Not my fav. I like a very crispy rangoon. Maybe that's just my preference. I sampled my husband's pad Thai, also a bust. Hardly an spice or flavor. He ordered a 3 out of 5 and there was hardly any heat. Maybe my Vegas taste buds have been spoiled or maybe this is a different style of the Thai we're not used to. At any rate I'm only giving it 3 out of 5 stars based on the food itself. The restaurant was in an interesting looking built stone building & plaza and the interior was decorated with a pretty traditional Asian-Thai theme. This place was packed on a Sat night too! The locals must love it. There was a line of people waiting to be seated when we arrived. There are no complaints about the service. We called our order in for pick up. The man who took out order was polite and I believe he was the same host who was greeting people at the door. He was very busy but still gave great service with a smile. Again, this review is not a reflection of him. He was great. The food....just wasn't.

The shrimp tacos were fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor - perfectly seasoned shrimp with great toppings and that soft tortilla that holds it all together without falling apart. Highly recommend! Then the coconut shrimp - crispy on the outside, tender inside, with that sweet coconut flavor that pairs amazingly with the dipping sauce. Such a tasty twist. But the star for me was the chimichurri ribeye steak - cooked just right, super tender, and the chimichurri sauce brought bright, herby freshness that cut through the richness perfectly. One of the best steaks I've had in a casual spot like this. Everything felt fresh and housemade, portions were generous, and the vibe is chill and welcoming. If you're in the area (or making a trip!), do yourself a favor and hit up Whiptail Grill. We'll definitely be back next time we're around - craving that chimichurri ribeye already! Oh and topped it off with the flan!! So good!

I drove all the way from Los Angeles because of the great Yelp reviews, expecting an amazing meal…read more That turned out to be my biggest mistake. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger and the Carne Asada Taco Plate. The burger was clearly made long before it was served and had been sitting under a warmer for far too long. The bun and patty were dry, and the sauce was so ordinary that I honestly would have preferred a burger from McDonald's. The carne asada tacos were even worse. The meat wasn't seasoned at all, and there were far too many large chunks of fat, making it unpleasant to chew. It tasted like it was made by someone who doesn't even know the basics of making tacos. I asked for some hot sauce, and later noticed they had charged me an extra $2 for it. When I asked why, the employee (or maybe the owner) simply said, "If you don't want it, I'll take it off." That wasn't the point. I could have paid the $2 without any problem, but the attitude was rude and unprofessional, and honestly disgusting. If you're going to serve tacos, at least learn the basics. I'd suggest taking a trip to Los Angeles and learning how real tacos are made. While you're there, maybe stop by McDonald's and see how they make a better burger, too. The food was a huge disappointment and completely failed to live up to the Yelp ratings. My trip to Zion National Park didn't start well because of this meal, but thankfully the sunset was beautiful enough to make me forget about this terrible dining experience.
