I ordered 2 jerk chicken wraps. Each comes with a bag of chips. My husband and I enjoyed them very much. The ingredients were simple, fresh and tasty! The sauce had a nice kick to it. I am a frequent supporter of this business; both on S. Western and BronzevilIe ordered the jerk chicken wrap at 5:16 PM ORDER 52 To Go... There were 2 people waiting for there food when I walked in and placed my order.. The Rush came in behind me... people ordering multiple wraps and smoothies... 5:35 all of the people that came in after me were all gone except for one person. I asked the cashier Tarirll ( per receipt) if she can check on my order. She stated there is only 1 person working, you haven't been called. I waited another 15 minutes- I still hadn't been called. I asked the cashier again about my order and mentioned everyone had received their food except for me. Can you please check on it? She looked up and stated again it wasn't ready. I asked her to cancel my order and requested a refund. Waited 45 min.for a wrap I didn't receive. It is Unfortunate that SB owners are losing business, not because of the quality of their food, due to their employees inability to be courteous and responsive to their customers. I am confident that the owner of this restaurant is not aware of the impact her employees are having on her business. This place has stepped it's game up from the original location on Cottage. I've been to both locations. The Beverly location is bigger & features a coffee shop. My son and I visited this location today because it got such great reviews from my neighbors, and I have to say, my neighbors were right! This place is amazing. I got the jerk chicken wrap on a spinach wrap, my son got the grilled chicken wrap. The chicken was tender and seasoned well. The jerk wrap was to die for! I can't deal with very spicy foods but this was perfect with the right amount of spice! There is a lot of food for the money. The atmosphere of the cafe makes you feel as if you are walking into a place where everyone is welcomed (cue the song from "Cheers"). This is a gem that is fortunately, not too far from my home. My favorite item in the menu is the Da Steve, honestly the only other thing I've ever had beside that is the jerk chicken wrap that I didn't like. Today I ordered Da Steve and had a pleasure experience like always inside the restaurant but I was very disappointed with my food. My croissant was old, dry and hard. Eh, Just ok. I can spend my money else where. I will begin my experience with the phone i made. The person who took my order was a bit dismissive or maybe even sounded bothered by my asking a question about a salad that the business has listed on its menu but was not available to purchase. Any how I had to order a new item which was no big deal. I had placed several orders for myself and coworkers, and unfortunately i received the wrong item when the food was brought in. I immediately called in to make the business aware and i was told that i had to return the food for new item to be made. I was at work and could not leave to return the salad so i explained that to the person over the phone, to which the person over the phone stated that my next available choice is to get a 10% off discount on my next purchase. Terrible customer service over the phone and if i spent $8 on an item getting a 10% discount on my next purchase is also terrible customer service. If they would have preffered to keep me as a customer they should have handled this much much better. But hey they apologized for giving me the wrong item. read more

It was my first visit and the food was delicious! The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the cashier was not very welcoming. When I informed the manager about it, she focused more on telling me that she's never had any issues with the cashier as if people don't have a bad day. It may have been a bad day for the cashier, however, give a smile and show people that you appreciate their business. I didn't even get a thank you from the young lady. Bad business. I went here today for lunch, eager to try a new locally owned independent business. I ordered the jerk wrap with a side of soup (tuscan tomato bisque) and a tropical smoothie. I was told that they weren't making smoothies today because the machine was down. There was a man about three feet from me that was clearly drinking a smoothie. Hmmm, ok. Three people came in behind me and all ordered smoothies. All were told "not today." I know that the smoothies can take a minute to make, and maybe they were just short staffed, but you're new to the area. If you're open, you need to be up and running. I also found it odd that they had a huge dessert case that was completely empty. The wrap was good, but I probably wouldn't order it again. The chicken was both tough, almost rubber like, and worse, bland. There was way too much sauce in the wrap. If I was to get it again, I would request the sauce on the side. I also wish they had a different chip option than Lays, but to each their own. On a positive note, the sandwich was substantial in size. The soup was outstanding. They also have a coffee bar within the cafe, but they do not open until 10am. Opening earlier would probably help them draw in more business. It would be nice to have an alternative to Dunkin Donuts. Parking on the street is easy and their is also a lot just south of the cafe. I hope they make it as it is nice to have a healthier option in the neighborhood. read more

Loved the Da Steve! I was surprised and it for-filled my appetite and my taste bud. We had take out. The staff was extremely nice and the space is outfitted with modern tech like iPads for signature authorization. Atmosphere seems to be kid friendly but have not dined in.
