I called them to repair my refrigerator. I was told that their technician would call me the next morning between 7:00 and 7:30 to set up an appointment. He called at 8:05 and told me he could be there sometime between 9:00 - 11:00. He showed up at 9:30, and took only 20 minutes to discover the problem. He soon fixed it without needing any new parts, so it cost only $95 for the visit. The technician was polite and professional. read more

I have used Aitoro to purchase all my appliances since I moved to Ct. 13 years ago. The salespeople have been helpful, non-pushy and polite. I have a couple of favorites but have had excellent experiences with others as well. When I mention I am working with another salesperson they don't get all snippy or disinterested because they aren't getting the sale. (I had this happen at another store where they work on commission.) Recently I went to purchase a DVD player and then changed my mind. They refunded my money without a quibble. Delivery has been within the time they have given me so I haven't had to wait around all day. I have never had a delivery guy be rude to me and they have gotten the job done quickly. One delivery was for a washer and dryer which were a really tight fit down to the basement. They were very careful unlike my moving guys who dented my old ones getting it there. I tipped the drivers for a job well done. I have had service a few times. A Frigidaire dishwasher I purchased 3 years ago kept having trouble within the 1st year. The tech was friendly and helpful but I finally got tired of the service calls. The customer service dept. and I worked with Frigidaire and they got me a new one! No troubles since then. I definitely recommend this store and find if I am friendly and polite when asking for something I get the same back from them. read more

I purchased a GE Ice Maker in November and have had an issue since with trying to get it replaced. I have had a GE repairman at my house 4 times with no resolution. Two weeks ago a serviceman came to my house to repair my Weber grill. He ordered an ignition switch. I have called twice to inquire about the status of that part. Yesterday i was told that it was still not in. i contacted Weber, that part is available and ships out within 24 hrs of ordering. Estimated time of delivery is 7 to 10 business days and it would probably arrive sooner. By my calculation - even considering the holiday, this part should have arrived. i have purchased appliances from Aitoro's and the sales group was great. however, the service department is sorely lacking To Aitoro's credit, they do read the reviews and try to address the problem. Received a phone call this afternoon saying that the part was in stock and someone would be out this afternoon to repair the grill. They would also would waive the $131 charge. Reading other reviews, it appears that it is the service department that is responsible for the negative reviews. I hope that they can correct those problems. i know that I am not alone in wishing to support a locally owned family business. wish that there was a 21/2 star. The service department at Aitoro is extremely dishonest. They were not up front about the cost of sending a repair person to our home. They were extremely rude to my wife when she called them to follow up and they lied to her. I am so disappointed in this family-run business. I called them after my wife's interaction with them and the guy in service just kept repeating the same line over and over again. It is safe to say we will never go back to them for any purchases and most definitely will never call upon them for service again. Frankly, the owner of this business should be ashamed. I wish there was a lower rating --one doesn't do justice to the crap this store sells. We are on our third gas range --started last September by purchasing 3 replacement appliances including a gas range. Tonight the GE Café gas range (all of 5months old) caught fire and we had to turn the gas supply off at the intake to the range. This all started with an Electrolux range damaged on delivery. The replacement Electrolux range also had problems--couldn't use the cleaning feature since the door was damaged. We changed to GE -- hoping to break the run of bad luck---- and this appliance is no good either. In the past year, three additional interactions with Aitoro; I purchased a viking grill, washer and dryer and had them out for a service call. It's night and day. I don't care for the sales service, and the customer service for repair is dismal. I can't believe how rude they are. When we were looking to purchase Gaggenau appliances for our kitchen, we decided on Aitoro based on the high level of their service which was apparent from the start. Our sales advisor John P. patiently walked us through the entire selection process making sure to take care of us even after the sale was completed and appliances installed. When we had some issues with the manufacturer which we could not resolve ourselves, Eleni in customer service stepped in, worked directly with the manufacturer, and stayed with us until everything was fully resolved. Without Eleni, I do not think the situation would have ended as well as it did. Aitoro is a family company which takes its customer service very seriously. We would highly recommend them. read more

i would like to give no stars but you have to post at least one. Was sold the wrong refrigerator, then told it was a misunderstanding by the incompetent salesman. Nothing was done to remedy the issue by the Salesperson or the Customer Service Manager, who offered an extended warranty for their mistake but then never followed through with it, and furthermore a letter was sent to the owner of Aitoro and we never even received a response back. We are now stuck with a refrigerator that we didn't order and a very bad taste in our mouth. Terrible, terrible customer service. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Aitoro, with installation on 12/29/2017. This part of the transaction was very smooth. The second time I went to use it only 4 days later, it did not work. I called Aitoro Service, and was told they do not provide service in my area (only 11.9 miles away!). After 3 and 1/2 hours, I finally heard back, but was told no one can come for a week. I went on the Bosch website, found a certified repair shop, and within 5 minutes have an appointment for a repair tomorrow. Not sure why Aitoro could not provide this same service. read more

Have spent well over $30,000 at Aitoro over the last 10 years, remodeling our kitchen being the biggest part of that number. I needed to replace the Marvel wine cooler we bought from Aitoro 10 years ago. I was encouraged to go with Marvel again by the salesman, which I did. I have had the cooler in my house roughly 6 months now. In those 6 months, it has functioned correctly less than half that time. The repairman from Aitoro has been out to 'fix' it no less than 6 times. Still does not work. Bob, who runs the repair department at Aitoro, does not return phone calls. Beyond frustrating. We made the mistake of purchasing all of our appliances from Aitoro. We were told we bought a Viking range that already had a propane conversion kit, but it turns out that it didn't. Don't bother calling these guys because they will just take your # and say they will look into it. You need to go to the store and stalk the service department to get an answer. We were told that the part would be overnighted, but of course it sent fed ex ground. We needed our range to make Thanksgiving dinner, but we will not be able to use our kitchen! Service is horrible. They miss dates (tell you hours into day of delivery they will not make it), lose numbers (they seem to have poor technology for tracking phone numbers and other information), have to come back multiple times (because they are not properly trained). Literally one of the worst customer experiences in my life. I bought multiple appliances with small issues that became large issues because they are so disorganized. After my recent experience with Aitoro Appliance, I will NEVER shop there again! I purchased a "top of the line" washer & dryer for over $3000, and also purchased the extended 5 year warranty for both units. When I had a problem with the washer, I was told by the warranty company that the contract was not valid. I had to call Aitoro's a number of times and send copies of my original receipt, and finally after more than a week all parties agreed that I paid for the extended contract and it was valid. Now 5 months later the dryer stopped working. This time the warranty company told me that Aitoro's cancelled the contract. When I called Aitoro's they originally told me that the warranty company was wrong and I did have a valid contract. Then they changed their story and said I only purchased an extended contract for the washer and not the dryer (which is not true). The warranty company verified that I did have a contract but Aitoro's cancelled it! I am sick and tired of all the double talk and games...I will never buy from Aitoro's again. There are plenty of other reputable appliance stores that sell high end appliances without all the headaches. read more

I just completed the purchase of appliances to redo my kitchen in New Canaan. I worked with Joe Land and the purchase process was great. Joe helped me pick out a Viking refrigerator, a Marvel wine cooler, a Kitchen Aid trash compactor and a Wolf cooktop. Needed all new kitchen appliances for newly renovated house, after extensive research and shopping around the Fairfield county area, I found the best deals at Aitoro. However I had to return a fridge and range hood due to an architectural error and after reading some reviews was panicking that I would get hit with exorbitant fees and poor post purchasing service. My experience couldn't be further from the truth. Tom and Eric were completely patient and understanding. They waived restocking fees and allowed me to exchange the appliances for a nominal charge. Initially I had issues with the subzero refrigerator and was told it should be replaced. Subzero stands behind it's product unlike any other appliance mfg that I have ever dealt with. They give you an incentive to buy from them again ( regardless of the age of your refrig). They send you to the Clarke showroom in Norwalk and suggest certified dealers. I purchased the refrig from Aitoro's and had a very positive experience with Phil Mahoney ( Director of Sales ) and Dave ( Delivery). Phil was knowledgeable about the intricacies of the product versus its competitors. He wasn't pushy with closing the sale. He knew it was an expensive purchase and he allowed me the time to make my decision. Once I did, delivery was coordinated efficiently by Dave .They use CL Appliances exclusively to install. James Drescher and Glen Goodwin were exceptional! They covered the wood floors adequately and cleaned the dirty floor before replacing it with the new refrig. They even went out of there way and assisted me with emptying out the old one and putting the food into the new.They went above and beyond my expectations! This was a very smooth and efficient process ( not sure how they were able to navigate the big refrig into the narrow passageway but they angled it well). Everyone involved in the purchase of this product was exceptional. My advice: Buy from Aitoro's, use CL Appliance to install and if you can, buy Subzero. read more

This company has the worst customer service I have ever come across. The technician cancelled the appointment all because I didn't pick up my phone after I was made to wait home all day. Chris the technician was very unprofessional, rude and just a nasty human being. When he finally showed up the next day, he pretty much didn't try to fix the issue and said they would need to come back. I called the company to complain and they were just as non courteous. I can see why their employee act the way they do. My advice is to go somewhere else for your service needs. I never leave a review but this was very much warranted.as they were just awful. read more

My first purchase from Aitoro's was a stereo record player in 1972 with my first paycheck. Forty five years later, I'm still shopping there. I trust the products they sell and the service is what gives me a secure feeling about the purchase. My frig broke 2 days before the closing on my house which was sure to complicate matters. While Aitoro's couldn't get there until 2 hours after the closing, they guaranteed the repair at no charge. I should have been charged for labor but they didn't charge anything because of my delima. I'm writing my review for my recent experience with the parts/ service department of Aitoro. We have a LP gas range that needed warranty service work done on it. After the first company that came out pretty much refused to work on it for some reason because it was a warranty job (and they were extremely unprofessional about it!) I was recommended to Aitoro's service department. I spoke with the manager (Bob I believe) who was a little gruff but very knowledgable and professional nonetheless. We set up an appointment and his technician showed up within the window he said he would (very rare now and days!). He was able to diagnose the issue and ordered the replacement board. They called once it came in and we set up another appointment for the install. Once again the tech (same guy) was very professional and had the new part in in no time and we had a functioning range again! Wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again! read more

I went in to Aitoro's on the recommendation of my GC to find a new cooktop and vent system. I had always presumed that everything would be too expensive there, but Linda helped me a lot by explaining all the types of cooking technology, and how they help in various cooking techniques. She and one of the installers helped me research dimensions for various cooktops because I was trying to squeeze a larger cooktop into my existing cabinet. The installer even came to my house to measure to make sure that I could use what I was looking at. I purchased a cooktop from their remodeling sale, but Linda treated me as if I was buying a full Le Cornue appliance suite. So sweet and helpful! read more

Upon installation by their delivery person, he damaged my new counter top. That day started my hell ...I immediately contacted customer service and sales when I noticed the damage, leaving several messages to no avail. I wrote 2 emails to the owner including my phone number and still haven't to this day received any contact or resolution from him. If I could rate this store without giving a single star, I would. bought a washing machine and a dryer. The delivery was expensive, but the men were very polite and did a good job. The washing machine didn't work. Totally dead. I called the customer service person. She was so busy telling me about their protocol, she won't listen to me. The repairman was sent out. Aitoro's didn't mention that the appliances were stacked. He has a great guy. Not affiliated with Aitoro's. He suspected that the computers were faulty, but he couldn't tell for sure. I called Aitoro's and the witch customer service person (what a joke) said that we had to wait another day to read the report from the repairman. I said I wanted another washer, she said no. $2,700.00 worth of total garbage. I left a message for the owner and was never contacted. I called Visa and they put a hold on the charge. Perhaps, maybe one day they will come to get the garbage they sold me. They couldn't care less about their customers. They are expensive and the "customer service" is appalling. Amazon, Sear, Home Depot all of them are less expensive and customer orientated. There is a reason the independent small stores are a dying breed when they act this way toward their loyal customers. I guess you never know, until something goes wrong, just how bad this store is. The only good part was the delivery people. read more

Consumers beware. I initially had a great experience with Aitoro, one would say the honeymoon stage. After immediate installation I had two issues with the appliances. Issue # 1 Sub Zero (which resolved only because SubZero/Wolf customer service is beyond AMAZING). Aitoro will take credit for resolving my SubZero issue, untrue. I called SubZero prior to Aitoro and resolve the issue, but I never made the claim to Aitoro as just wanted my issue to resolve. Issue #2 occur on the heels of Issue #1, which was a GE Monogram product ... my biggest issue was Aitoro didn't invest in me by listening to what my needs were and simply reacting to the appliances I liked and didn't advise me as to the full drawbacks, which I would have easily purchased a different appliance, knowing full well cost wasn't a factor. I could have easily purchased online saving significantly, but believed it was important to have the engagement of a sales associate in a showroom. I am not the type to go into a store on the pretense of purchasing and then go online which many may do for cost savings. There consumer service is so arrogant that when I called for issue #2, I was disconnected (knowing full well it was me calling), I HAD TO CALL BACK. Then when finally speaking to their one and only customer service person, the conversation became adversarial and I was again disconnected (likely hung up on me). I was waiting for customer service to call back, THEY NEVER DID. I telephoned the owner twice to inform him of the deficiencies in Aitoro's customer service, indicating I hoped to hear from him, failing any reason to service to me after spending over $30,000 I would inform other my fellow Yelp viewers of the foregoing. read more

At a recent trip to "big box" store with my mother, we wandered the isles looking for some DIY supplies and found ourselves passing the appliance section. I told her that I needed kitchen appliances for my remodel and her response was "you can look here but you can only purchase from Aitoro!" Well, mom is always right. I went into the store with my wife on 6/13/11 and try to find out what is wrong with my dryer. I specifically mentioned to the customer service rep that it takes a longer time to dry my clothing. I also said there are 90% of vent being blogged and neend to be cleaned. I was told to call Aitoro & Macri Parts & Services and set up an appointment on 6/18/11. When the technician Will comes, he checked the dryer and said there is no problem with the dryer and told me to call Morales & Son Duct Cleaning Services and left. The entire service took less than ten minutes. I paid $100.40 on my credit card. What a rip off? It is amazed to see a company selling appliances and the technician did not know how to clean the vent. If Aitoro does not provide vent cleaning service, then the customer service should let the customers know. I am very disapponted with the service provided by Aitoro. I will not buy any appliances from Aitoro again and will let my friends to do the same. What a rip off? read more

Beware! We have used Aitoro for several purchases and service calls, but are no longer customers. They have misrepresented appliance status, even to the point of recommending a sub-zero replacement when a second opinion revealed a $30 parts repair. The technicians are narrowly trained, and are not able to offer creative solutions, and when I spoke with a manager at the store, they were unwilling to refund the service call where inaccurate and incomplete information was provided. They promise low pricing on new appliances, but manipulate condition during service calls. read more

Sales staff are knowledgeable about the products and only too eager to sell. We bought a Electrolux Range and Microwave a couple months back. SS Range top is scratched already (we only use soapy water to clean). Replacement part was ordered under Warranty BUT the Service dept screwed up twice and didn't have the scheduled appointments on their calendar.
