Very solid breakfast option while staying at the Limelight! The food was fresh and flavorful and there is a good balance of options for all dietary preferences. Service was very friendly and attentive.

    Grilled chicken sandwich, REGULAR FRIES

Ajax is the Limelight Hotel's restaurant, and they actually provide a $20 credit to guests! I got the Grilled Chicken Sandwich (gochujang, chedder cheese, chili cucumber, red cabbage, kosho aioli), which came with fries. Overall, this dish was very tasty. The fries were perfectly crispy but a little too salty- this ended up balancing out as the sandwich itself needed some salt. Otherwise, the sandwich was great- tender chicken, crunchy slaw, tangy cucumber, umami and subtly spicy sauce. Ambiance is modern and elegant; there was a bit of a wait but service was friendly. 9/10 would recommend!

Connect right to the Limelight which was nice. Our chase points got us some discounts off the dining here. Food was good. Had burgers sliders chips beer old fashion breakfast. Inside had a nice setup as the bar was away from the regular dining and there was also outside seating. Nice place to dine!

Very solid experience with a large group of 10. The wait staff was excellent and the ambience was great. Food was generally very satisfying around. The beef tartare was my favorite thing we had with a different twist than I'm used to with almost a creamy texture. I absolutely loved this. For dinner, had the mussels, short rib, and a chocolate tart for dessert. The short rib was delicious in flavor although not having that fall off the bone that I'm used to. It was well presented and good none the less. Enjoyable experience and definitely would do it again while visiting Denver. Thanks for the great service folks!

AMAZING service from Malik! Food was great. The Panko eggplant was buried under the greens but was absolutely delicious and vegan. Win win! We were easily the loudest table and everyone was cool with it. Lol.

Ajax is great! We ordered the steak frittes and farmhouse breakfast and it was all delicious! Gluten free friendly with a dedicated frier. Our server Thomas was very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Sat in the bar with good vibes and watched the World Cup.

We had an amazing meal at AJAX. We shared the focaccia as an appetizer and then shared the dry aged ribeye and Brussels as our main. The steak was delicious (and covered in a chimichurri)! Biggest complaint was the table was a two top and felt a little too big / not cozy enough for the two of us.

The portions here are huge for breakfast. Through my Chase benefits for staying at the hotel, we receive breakfast daily during our stay and a $100 credit at Ajax. So, we tried most of the breakfast items, and our favorites are the duck hash and the duck for dinner. The truffle fries are good too! The steak tartare was really salty to me but my partner enjoyed it. The grilled shrimp was okay. I don't recommend the iced latte. I don't think it was an espresso over ice when they gave it to me. It was more like iced coffee and they gave me milk(?) on the side. I'm not too sure but it's not what I expected it to be. The service was great, and everyone was kind and friendly. They removed an alcoholic beverage from our check when the fire alarm went off since we had to vacate the building for a couple of minutes during dinner.

I have frequented Ajax about a dozen times. I live walking distance so it is very conveniently located for me. Ambiance is dark and intimate. Very nice decor especially for a hotel restaurant. This meal took place on 1/20/26. The service is always very attentive and courteous. Staff knows the menu very well and they typically make great suggestions. However on this particular night the waiter should have suggested we do not order the oysters. It's possible he did not know about their "state", so this really is the kitchen's / executive chef's fault not the waiter, who that evening provided very great service. To the meal , there was three of us , we ordered two salads and 6 oysters, and cauliflower as side and I had the Berkshire pork . 2 of us had the pork and 1 of us ordered the aged ribeye . 2 of us ate half a dozen oysters . They were pretty briny but I did not think much of it a the time being that Ajax is a great steakhouse . However that evening at about 3am in the morning I felt extremely ill. Luckily, was not full blown food poisoning but my stomach was in knots that entire night and most of the next day, even after uncomfortable visits to the bathroom that night my stomach was hurting all night/morning to the point I couldn't fall back asleep. Initially I thought maybe it was the mixture of two wheat beers with salads , and pork , and cauliflower and oysters, (to many different foods) that was until today when I spoke to my buddy who also had the oysters and said he had a similar horrible experience . We both were very ill that evening and into the following morning. We are now absolutely sure, it was the oysters as we both recalled them having too much liquid and Briney flavor that could have indicated they have spoiled and gone Bad . They should Have not served them at all or at least tested one before sending out if they were older supply. Any place that serves raw seafood must be held at a higher standard when it comes to serving it , as spoiled seafood can have serious consequences. The pork was delicious but I will def never be ordering seafood from there again.

    Happy Hour

Our hotel gave us two $10 off coupons for this restaurant. Our waiter said we could use both in one sitting. We were here for happy hour and we got the Ajax Wagyu double cheeseburger ($18) with truffle fries($9) and the Coal oven baked sourdough. ($12). Everything was so tasty and delicious. Our fries were not very hot so I asked if they could heat them up. They did and we ended up eating them all!

The foods good. Nothing super amazing. The onions and peanut sauce on the leeks was so good. The leeks themselves were a bit tough and not exactly easy to chew through. The inner leeks were far more palatable. The burger was the star! I literally cannot say enough about it. I added bacon and got the truffle fries, so incredible! Service was great our waitress was excellent. She even suggested the burger. She was around almost every time we needed something. Lighting is low and noise was kind of loud so fair warning there. I'd definitely come back!

Ajax Denver Downtown has excellent food -- everything we ordered for dinner was very tasty and well executed. What really stood out in a positive way was our dinner server, who we had both nights. They were fantastic: attentive, friendly, and clearly invested in making sure we had a great experience. Service during dinner was consistently great. Unfortunately, our brunch to-go experience was handled extremely poorly due to management. One morning, we placed a to-go brunch order because we didn't have time to dine in. The receptionist told us there would be about a 45-minute wait, took down our order, room number, and phone number, and said we would be called when it was ready. After waiting over an hour, I returned to pick up the order. The manager, Dana, told me there was no order at all -- not in the system, not written down, nothing. She insisted the order was never placed and offered no explanation for what happened. When I expressed frustration after already waiting an hour, I was told to simply repeat the order and wait another 30 minutes. When I questioned why I should wait again, her response was dismissive and rude, including "Do you want the food or not?" followed by sarcastic, philosophical comments about not being able to go back in time and "starting fresh." There was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to make things right -- just deflection and attitude. It was shocking behavior for a restaurant of this quality and price point. The food and servers deserve a lot of praise, but the management experience significantly hurt what should have been a smooth and enjoyable visit

Great location add on the limelight hotel. Amazing cocktails and solid food. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay and or place for cocktails and or dinner. Great place!

Warm, happy to have us there, easy to talk to. I mentioned to my friend that I was thinking about a bloody mary, and a minute or two later Ryan asked if he should get that bloody started. He'd caught it in passing conversation, not because he was hovering. That's a hard balance to strike and he nailed it all afternoon. The drinks were great. Nothing fancy on my end, a bloody mary, a shaken screwdriver. Not too strong or weak. Sounds simple, but a lot of bartenders can't consistently hit it! We all got eggs your way, simple stuff done well. The roasted fingerling potatoes were crispy outside, fluffy inside, super good!! The strawberry jam was giving homemade, but I didn't confirm. Other dishes like the chickpea croquettes and the chili relleno were also pretty good and rounded out the meal nicely. The wait staff was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe. The only minor downside was that the outdoor heaters were a bit too hot, but that's a very small nitpick. Overall, an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Great location, relaxed vibes, especially on a Sunday evening. The beer was solid, but the food stole the show (mostly across the board). Most of our group was happy with their dishes. I had the steak sandwich with a side salad, and the sandwich was top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich, and this one absolutely hit the spot. It was also pretty large, which made it more of a fork-and-knife situation than a handheld one, but no complaints there. A few people in our party upgraded their sides to the sweet potato fries, which were next level. Perfect balance of crispiness with a hint of sweetness that made them stand out. One miss in the group was the mac and cheese; my sister ordered it and wasn't a fan, felt it was too liquidy/runny and underwhelming compared to everything else we tried. Only minor knock overall was that the kitchen was pretty slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy late on a Sunday evening. Not a dealbreaker, but something worth noting if you're in a hurry. Overall, great first Denver meal; good beer, mostly good food, and a relaxed spot that made for a solid welcome to the city.
