I seldom leave reviews, but I felt like I had to. I had a flatbread at Ajeen a few weeks ago which was great-- a cheap, quick and easy late night option. However, i just ordered a gyro plate online, and not only was it horribly packed, but it was absolutely not worth the $15 it cost. It came with no tzatziki, literally just dry meat, some pita, and the driest rice I've ever had. The two experiences clashed so greatly that it doesn't even make sense. read more

Got delivery from here and the sandwich/roll up was fine but the container of baba ghanoush was fizzy - almost fermented it had gone bad it seems like for days. They need to implement a better system for throwing away product that no one has bought. Very disappointing. read more

As an Arab (Jordanian) living in Boston, it was so hard to find really good and well-priced middle eastern pastries (Manakeesh) - but this place hits the spot. It's absolutely perfect, well-priced, and delicious. Arab pastries made by real Arabs? Sign me up. I tried the cheese Ajeen and the chicken Ajeen - both were really great. The dough was cooked to perfection and crispy on the edges, the fillings were rich and flavorful, and it's not too dough-y or oily. And the prices are similar to what you'd get in the Middle East too (yes a little more expensive but this is America, and it's amazing to find this food at a good price). The only downside I have is that the sweet Ajeen was filled with very little Nutella (it wasn't too flavorful) but other than that, this place is epic, and you should definitely go there for a snack if you're in the area. I'm still yet to try their Lahm Ajeen but I bet it will be amazing too. Keep up the great work, I'm super happy I stumbled across this place while walking in Allston last week, and now I hope to be a regular! read more

Decent enough food but nothing to rave about. Their Mediterranean flat beards get far too heavy on the herbs which then get burnt in their tandoor and as a result, there is a metallic bitter aftertaste to the bread. Usually, restaurants will offer some thickened yogurt to alleviate that but that wasn't the case here so all one got was bitter herb bread. Honestly the really cool Eastern European/ Russian grocery store next door looked far more promising. read more

Ate here yesterday for my son's birthday meal. Everything was terrific. I got the chicken shawarma platter with fatoosh and rice and both my sons' tried the mixed(beef and chicken) shawarma platters. We also got baba ganoosh, labnee, and kibbee. So good! Try it. read more

I have no idea why there are even 3 star reviews here. This place is awful. The Greek salad doesn't come with what it says it should. The veggie flatbread says it comes with pepper sauce and it's literally a flatbread w tomatoes and onions. We were barely acknowledged when we walked in. Took them 5 min to even ask how they could help us. We were the only ones there. For Greek salad they opened up a big bag of feta cheese and served it with a wishbone-esque Italian dressing. This place serves some of the best Manaeesh (flatbreads) ive had in Boston. While they have great fusion options (greek and soujok and cheese are) as far as flatbreads go, I think they really shine in the authentic classics. The lahm-ib-ajeen is excellent, cheese and zaatar brilliant, and muhammara well balanced. Flatbreads aside, the secret item in this restaurant is the BabaGhanough. Great food! We ordered the soujouk and cheese, muhammara, chicken and cheese, lahm a ajeen and zaatar special flatbreads. All the flatbreads were delicious but the sojouk and cheese stood out among them. The sausage in it was really tasty. The baba ganoush dip was also very nice. Baklava was decent as well. All are great: zaatar, zaatar and cheese, cheese, Greek cheese, muhammara (spicy tomato paste), and lahm ajeen (minced beef with onion) are all phenomenal. My favorite part is when it arrives hot and soft. Sometimes it's slightly dry/crispy which I don't like but that's not usual. Overall, I'm a very loyal customer. read more

We went here right when they opened in early March. Absolutely delicious!!!!! The flatbreads have beautifully nuanced flavors - I recommended ordering a variety of types of flatbreads to sample everything. We under-ordered -- definitely should have ordered more than 2 flatbreads for 2 people and added sides but we were in a hurry at the time. Everyone here is so nice and let us try samples, which is fantastic since we weren't exactly sure which we'd prefer. Can't wait to go back!!! read more

I ordered three flat breads: the zaatar, sojouk and cheese, and lahm ajeen. I got in the car, and wanted to taste them before I got home (don't judge me, the food smelled great, and I am a sucker for warm flat bread). I turned around and ordered 3 more sojouk and cheese for the family (yes, I made a good dent in all three!)... so so good, hits the spot, the heat, the creaminess and saltiness from the middle eastern pickles on sjouk was terrific. A warm straight from the oven lahm ajeen is not to be missed either. This unpretentious, simple flat bread is best eaten as soon as it comes out. But if you're looking for the classic, the earthiness and crunchiness of of the flatbread zaatar busting with the herbaceous thyme and toasted sesame flavor, this much adored man'oushe occupying a prime spot in the culinary tradition of the Levant, beware, it is an addicting item that is sure to get you craving it day or night! What a shame that this place opened just two weeks before the shelter in place in Boston, but hopefully they can stay afloat until things open up.
