Just wow! My coworkers and I visited Aji for lunch and it did not disappoint. We were a group of 8. The staff were so friendly and provided us with suggestions and did not seem to be bothered by our 500 questions. And we had a lot of questions. They brought out some canchitas, and honestly, I was not going to try them. But once it was described, I did try it and found myself not being able to stop. For my main meal, I went with the Chaufa with shrimp only. It was packed with such bold and flavorful seasonings. It can't with a delicious sauce . Lastly, met the manager, John, he was super nice and said the patio would be open soon so I'm definitely looking forward to coming back with my family.

I ate here with the family and it was a great experience. It was recommended as being authentic and I would say that was spot on. Our waiter was excellent and patient as we had a few vegans in the group. The civeche was so good as an appetizer. The main dishes were tasty. This will definitely be added to the rotation.

We love to eat here! Highly recommend the linguine huancaina with lomo, I've gotten it 4 times and it's always been good. The meat is super tender and the sauce goes perfectly with it. The plantains are the perfect amount of soft on the inside and caramelized on the outside. We got the Arepa Reina pepiada to split as an appetizer and I wish I would have got one to myself it was so good. They always let us sit wherever we want and have room to sit bigger parties as well.

The restaurant was a disappointment to say the least. The first person in the group to arrive, accidentally sat with the wrong group as placed her order before we even arrived, so you would think she would receive her food first right? Nope. She was actually the last person. Things from our order were missing, we had to repeatedly ask for things we were missing, multiple drinks were sent back and their soda machine wasn't functioning properly. You would think the place was packed for all this and it was not. I will say, I liked the chicken. From the comments of the others in my group, the empanada trio isn't good.

For whatever reason, some businesses get off to a slow start. This space has been many things over the years. It's a busy shopping center, but restaurants have struggled to catch on here. I'll admit, after seeing the early reviews of Aji Fusion, I wasn't super keen on going in to check it out. But, I was in the mood for something different, and was relatively close to the area at lunchtime, so I decided to give it a try for lunch. I'm glad I did, I had a great lunch on all fronts. Value, flavor, service, ambiance, everything. I came in around 1:30, so a late lunch, but was nearly the only customer there. The waitress let me sit anywhere, and handed me both the full menu and a smaller lunch menu. Always keen for a lunch deal, I asked the waitress which of the lunch specials she liked the most, and she recommended the Chicken Saltado with fries. The special even came with a small side salad, which was a nice bonus I didn't expect. My food came out in about 15 minutes, piping hot, and looking lovely. The chicken, peppers, onions, all of it were wonderfully stir-fried. The fries were the good kind with those little bits of crispy batter on the edges. I asked for some of their green salsa for dipping (both chicken and fries). Biting in... yum! The chicken was tender and juicy. The fries were spot on. Even the small salad had crisp fresh greens. I thought this lunch was a great value for 10 bones, and it makes me want to come back for dinner soon. Hopefully, some other people will see my review and come give this place a shot, I'm glad that I did!

I love Peruvian food and I was super happy to find this place near home. The option of seafood, ceviche is amazing and they are super tasty! We also feel super well because of the customer service. The staff was super kind, happy, all the time worried if we needed something. When you arrive they bring free Peruvian corn that is super delicious. We ordered yuca huancaina of appetizers traditional ceviche and chicharron de pescado. I love that in this place they don't bring the check as soon they bring the food as they want us to leave. On the opposite we feel welcome and that we could stay there ordering food whenever we want. They also have a skylight in the middle of the restaurant that brings incredible light. Looking forward to go back again and try another options in the menu.

A new peruvian restaurant opened up in greensboro. Its quite an amazement over the years of how we have become more diverse and cultured in different cuisines. Came on a Thursday morning, not busy and had fast service. I went with a friend and I ordered the Jalea de Mariscos (deep fried squid, shrimp, mussels with criolla sauce and cassava). It was good but could of been more crispy if it hadnt had lime juice over it already when served. The sauce was a bit to tangy for my taste buds. My friend had tried the lunch special chicken and rice with a choice of side of salad or soup. She chose soup and ordered a separate side of cassava fries. The cassava fries was crispy, fresh and delicous. I had some of her soup and it was good too. Tasted like green lentils soup. Next time were going to try there famous charcoal chicken.

Fantastic lunch spot! The menu is packed with great options, and they've got a full bar if you're in the mood. I went for the street tacos and a cold beer--fresh, flavorful, and absolutely hit the spot. The staff was super friendly, and I even got to chat with the owner, who was incredibly welcoming. They mentioned awesome dinner specials and salsa dancing nights, which sound like a blast. Definitely worth a visit during lunch or anytime! 10/10, I'll be back, and I'm bringing the whole Zoom Drain crew next time!

I ordered the veggie tacu tacu and it was so good. The food was seasoned to perfection. The veggies reminded me of stir fry veggies but sweeter. The rice and beans had a rich flavor. You can also opt for beef or seafood. Prices are fair. Our waitress was a little confused. She may have been new it took awhile to get our check also but I enjoyed this restaurant and would encourage everyone to give it a try. It is the best Peruvian food in Greensboro. I have tried all three options. This has the most variety.

Preface: I really don't want to hammer this place, because the person waiting our table was so sweet! And *hopefully* they get it together and come out on top - but - the truth must prevail. I imagine given the available space, we were told to sit anywhere. We were brought menus and promptly asked what we would like to drink... great! We order the empanadas to start. I ordered the lomo saltado, hubby ordered a whole chicken, and we ordered a kid's cheesy arepa. A few minutes later, our waitress came back to tell us they were out of chicken. OK. Then hubby changed his order and tried to order a side of plantains ... they were out of plantains. I asked for a drink menu and ordered a Chardonnay ... could you guess? ...They were out of the Chardonnay I ordered... whatever, right? We're committed at this point. Food was 'ok' at best - best food was the empanadas and they were "good" - but they were very empty and greasy. The best thing we had was the green jalapeño sauce. So. Yea... is Gordon Ramsey still helping restaurants in distress?

    Octopus

Octopus was a bit overcooked so it was hard and slightly rubbery. The ceviche flight was my favorite. It came with a citrusy, spice, and mild. With different types of "chips".

Was happy this was open when I drove by, as I've been eye balling it ever since I heard it was coming. Tonight was that night! I'm particular to Peruvian food and the best part of that food in every place is a little different. That's the spirit of Peruvian food! My specialty is always the fried rice with steak, as it was my first introduction to authentic Peruvian food from LA and a Tia from Peru. To me the green sauce was avocado forward in taste, with the perfect amount of spice! Huancaina sauce was savory and creamy Fried rice was well cooked and held the shape really well while eating it. Steak could be a little softer, but its flavor was perfect. Highly recommend this place so far. Excited I don't have to go to Embur or Inka grill for a quick, really good fried rice with steak and delicious sauce.

The grilled octopus appetizer. Looked amazing. Unfortunately tough and chewy.
    Olga A.

We had the Octopus appetizer and it looked delicious when they brought it out, unfortunately it was way too tough, extra chewy.. We also ordered a half chicken which was extremely dry. But the icing on the cake... when they brought out the food a swarm of flies followed! We couldnt even eat our food cause we were trying to keep them away. At this point we just asked for our check. Our waitress however was very good. She did attend to us very well.

Service was interesting/questionable because we were approached by two different servers for drink orders within a few minutes. Secondly, we asked what was in/on the side for some items and the server had no idea and didn't offer to go ask the kitchen. Third, why have horchata on the menu if you don't serve it... Or at least tell the table things you are out of when you first greet them so they can review the menu and make quicker decisions. But she was sweet and the food we ordered came out correctly.

Service was definitely underwhelming this round, and honestly the food didn't hold up either. I'm a Birria girl through and through and I played it safe with what what I know. The birria tacos came a bit OVERstuffed for me and they fell apart immediately, and there was zero real flavor. My margarita was giving straight strawberry syrup with a splash of "hope." Wait time for initial service was 30+ minutes, and we were told they were short-staffed. Our server was on day 2, so no shade to him at all -- that was a management/setup issue. It just felt like no one was really helping control the chaos or wait times. After eating, we still waited another 30 minutes just to get our checks. Not to mention, there was an extra margarita on my tab that I didn't order. Between the noise level and language barriers, I ended up using a translator app just to clear it up... which honestly is my sign to start my Spanish lessons ASAP. Overall, I won't pull up for the party nights but maybe a chill Sunday visit would hit better, and I'll definitely be trying a different menu item until those birria tacos redeem themselves

By the time I left around 6, there were people standing and waiting to be seated. The patio was open with one couple enjoying the nice weather and relative quiet of outdoors. Embur recently relocated to Smyres Place in Greensboro and the new space feels much smaller than I expected. The design reminded me of what I imagine a modern restaurant in Peru might look like. Industrial with solid wood floors, warm finishes, and a large wine display. There are around 25 to 26 tables, mostly two tops and four tops. The largest table seats six, but they will push tables together for larger groups. While I was there, a group of more than 20 came in celebrating something and they were seated quickly without disrupting the rest of the room. The small patio has outdoor seating with about 8 tables and a they have bar area with about nine comfortable seats. The menu took me a minute to understand but I ended up liking the setup. You choose your entrée, which comes with set ingredients, and then choose your protein. Each protein has a different price, so you can control the cost of your meal somewhat. Most menu items can also be made gluten free according to the menu, and vegetarian options seem easy to do. For my appetizer, I ordered the flatbread. Perfection. Rosemary, olive oil, sea salt. Crispy outside, soft inside, and so flavorful I almost ate the whole thing before my meal was served. The server came with water right away and remain attentive but not intrusive the whole time. For my entree, I ordered the Arroz Chaufa with salmon. Arroz Chaufa literally means fried rice. At first the dish seemed a bit salty to me, but once I added the green sauce that comes with it (served on the side), everything balanced out. The green sauce has very mild heat, so if you are not a fan of spicy food, that is the one I would recommend. There is a list of sauces so I assume you can customize your entree. According to my server, the other sauces bring more heat. The salmon was excellent, well seasoned but not too much, and moist. The portion was ample. I was very hungry but I had leftovers to bring home. Service was exactly what I want when dining alone. Attentive without being intrusive. I watched Netflix while I ate and enjoyed my meal without feeling rushed or bothered. The noise level is average for a busy small restaurant. Comfortable enough to relax, but if you want to talk to someone in your group a couple of seats away, you will need your outside voice. This place feels upscale without being fussy, so expected to pay more than average, but I thought it was good value for the quality and portions. I loved this restaurant and will absolutely go back. Must order: Rosemary flatbread appetizer. Tip: Ask about sauce heat before ordering. If you do not like spicy food, start with the green sauce.
