So happy to have tried the newest pizza spot in historic downtown Winger Garden. Located at the original location of the previous Winter Garden Pizza Co. this restaurant is in the heart of Plant street. The wait is at least 30 minutes on a Saturday night but well worth the wait. Our server was so nice and friendly, and the decor is fun with collage of musical and movie stars to the simple white subway tile with retro diner style barstools. We were hungry and ordered some garlic -nots for our appetizer. Though while waiting go and check out the restroom, both are gold themed with the magical "red push" button for a fun surprise. Sorry boys, yours is missing some cool vibes, iykyk. Definitely loved our pizza choices with my white pizza called Goldie made with crispy prosciutto, ricotta, caramelized onions and Mikes hot honey drizzle. While my husband loved his Detroit style Thor! pizza made with spicy sausage, meatballs and ricotta. We would definitely come back again and try some of the other menu options for sure. Arrived around 2PM on a Saturday afternoon and place was full. We were advised it would be a while before they could sit us but did tell us we could sit at bar which had plenty of seating available and no wait. We took our seats and within a couple of minutes we were approached by the bar staff for a drink order and passed us menus. I had to try the meatball slider which was good. Ordered the John's pizza which is a pepperoni pie. It was ok and filling. Being from Jersey I had high expectations given the NY Pizza claim which in my opinion were not met but ambiance, good service and beer choices warranted a 4-star rating. This is the best pizza I've had in Florida, hands down. The Supreme New Yorker was what we ordered to celebrate a special occasion (we have been eating keto for over a year now) but wanted pizza that day. Our friends that joined us also said it's the best pizza in FL! The dough is perfectly chewy, the ricotta tastes like it was made right before it went into the oven, and the sausage and pepperoni were perfect! No wait seating at bar or 45 minutes on a busy Saturday. That is not bad for Farmers Market Saturday in Winter Garden. Opted for corner seats at kitchen bar. Best seats in the house. Saw the food as they get final touches. NYC pizza crust gets a brush of garlic olive oil and freshly grated parm prior to being sent out. Detroit style pies get a ladle of perfectly sweet sauce. The chef was talkative and interactive on a busy day. Eventually had a moment to introduce himself as Drew one of the owners. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience which is what we want in addition to great food. Ordered a bottle of Chianti, Black Rooster which paired perfectly with our Roni Detroit style. Got light sauce on top and they gave us some on side. Pizza was incredible. They put cheese on bottom and up the side. Dough was perfectly airy and crisp and crunchy. Perfectly done. Did not try the meatballs but will. Advertised as what your Mom used to make and Simone from NYC said the meatballs truly were. The kitchen was moving, well orchestrated with care for the product. The pizza is very good for a Florida pizza place. Lots of different options to choose from. The place is small so there is usually a wait, but worth it IMO. The staff are friendly and accommodating. It's one big pizza party! The place is great for a date day/night or for families. The highlight of course as weird as it sounds are the bathrooms. IYKYK. read more

It was my first time at this restaurant since they just opened up but I would definitely come back! It was a Thursday night but surprisingly busy - we were told it would be an hours wait for a table for 2 so we sat at the bar. We had a server come up to us and start our order right away. I ordered the garlic knots (10/10) and the Grimaldi's Margherita pizza (9/10). We watched them making the pizzas right in front of us and the service was fast for how busy it was. I do wish the server had checked on us to refill drinks a little sooner and also I think AJ's could benefit from a "by-the-slice" option or a half pizza option. Overall a nice dinner option that we will come back to and try more flavors! read more
