The chicken kebab was juicy and flavorful, and the falafel was really good too. The rice was delicious and paired well with everything. The babaganoush was especially well-seasoned and refreshing. The lamb was a tiny bit dry to our liking, but it tasted much better with the yogurt sauce that came with it. Just a heads up -- they only serve the mandi chicken on Mondays.

I got the lamb and beef shawarma ($11) and it was made in about 8 minutes. The meat was very savory and seasoned quite well. The sauce was quite good. My only suggestion would to have a bit more filler vegetable to help balance it out a bit. Still quite good and worth coming back. Overall very good value food that taste amazing and great staff! Pretty solid restaurant. The Kafta kabob was good and the lamb fries were amazing. The chicken was a bit overcooked and the grape leaves were not our favorite. It was comfortable and the service was friendly. The best part of the whole meal was the pistachio baklava!

Everything about this place is fantastic--the restaurant itself, the décor, the friendly staff, and the welcoming owner. The vibe is warm and inviting, and the food is on another level! We ordered a couple of mixed grill plates, chicken shawarma, and baba ghanouj--everything was incredibly flavorful and fresh. We actually ended up here after a disappointing experience at Miss Cafe, and someone outside recommended this spot just down the street. So glad they did! Seriously, wow. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and give this place a try--you won't regret it!

After seeing all the great reviews, I decided to try this place even though I usually go to my all time favorite restaurant in Redmond. I came all the way from Bellevue and even paid for parking, so I was really looking forward to it. But I felt disappointed. The food did not taste fresh, it was cold, bland, and the quantity was also less. It just did not meet my expectations.

I went here to use up my monthly Grubhub credit - placed an order for pickup for a beef/lamb gyro sandwich. In person it is $10.99, on the app it is $11.49, no biggie, either way the sandwich is of good value and you cannot really get a decent sized lunch of good quality at this price point these days. Food came out quickly, about 10 minutes after I ordered, and placed in a bag. The sandwich has good amount of meat and lots of lettuce. There is a mixture of tzatziki sauce and hummus, and the overall taste of the sandwich is good. My complaint is the sandwich is purely wrapped, and the sauce is fairly watery so it breaks down the paper wrap easily and it was super messy to eat. It would be great if they have a small plate or container for the wrap to make it less messy, but this is just a suggestion as they may only be able to make the sandwiches here more affordable by doing the bare minimum packaging. Either way, a good lunch stop at fairly affordable prices - a convenient option if you are in the area.

We were staying at a vacation rental next door and needed some late night food. We love Mediterranean food and this was super convenient. Service want overly friendly but efficient. We waited a bit because I ordered the chicken kabob plate and they make that to order. Hubby got the falafel sandwich. Everything was delicious. Prices were normal for this kind of place. Good for a late night stop if you're in the area.

Chicken shawarma sandwich - tasted so bad :(

First timer and I ordered their chicken shawarma sandwich, with substitution of tzatziki sauce. I've tried at least 15 different gyro places in the Seattle/Tacoma region. This is absolutely the worst chicken shawarma sandwich I've had. It didn't taste anything like chicken shawarma - very thin sliced chicken that looked old with no spice at all. The sauce didn't taste like tzatziki sauce, instead just tasted watery with no flavor to it. The sandwich tasted so bad that it felt like it ruined my love for Mediterranean food (especially gyros). I was so disappointed. I will not be returning again. Service was good though, and the ambiance was casual.

Got the gyro plate, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Literally, I was struggling to find any adjectives to say. The saffron rice was okay and gyro were okay and seasoned well. The hummus was fresh and tasted alright with pita bread. All in all nothing spectacular, good mediterranean if you're craving it. But chains like Halal guys are even better than this.

First of all, came with my 5 children, here on vacation. Frustrated, hungry, we've been walking all day, just wanted some good food before bed. I'm obviously overstimulated come up to order and the cashier was EXTREMELY welcoming. Told him it was my first time and he was so patient with me. And then the food came in! My GOSH! The kids, my husband, and I devoured it! If I lived here I'd absolutely eat here often!

Food and service was great! Clean place, lots of seating, and kid friendly. Hubby and I shared a chicken plate with rice, hummus,pita, and salad. The flavors were on point. Kids had the chicken shawarma sandwiches with fries. They loved it and they are very picky, so it was nice that they ate most of it and we finished off what they didn't have. First picture was after taking a bite, second picture was before I picked the plate clean. Definitely recommend and its nice that its away from the chaos of Pike's Market and you don't have to wait in a crazy long line!

Nothing scratches that late night drunchies itch like Greek food, and this place does it well! We got the gyro plate and Greek fries to split, and ended up having leftovers of both. The fries were so bomb, although I was surprised they used some other kind of sauce than just tzatziki. The plate was super filling and yummy as well. The lamb and beef was super juicy, but I wish it had a bit more flavor or char from the grill. My heart still belongs to Aladdin's on the Ave, but this is pretty good too!

Perfect spot for ordering late-night takeout. We got a falafel sandwich and hummus plate. The falafel sandwich was very good: chunks of chickpea in the falafel, good spices, good integration of the tahini throughout the sandwich, warm all the way through. The hummus was tasty with oils and spices on top, but came with way too little bread. I will have to put the hummus in the fridge and buy more bread to finish it. Service was quick, restaurant was playing loud Arabic music, staff were wearing fez style hats that seemed kind of odd and stereotypical. read more

Got a Al Basha Gyro Plate (Chicken). Portion was small. Flavor was decent. They definitely skimped on the meat. Also got a Beef Gyro Sandwhich on the side. Small portion. The beef was so small you could call it minced beef practically. Hummus was good and so was the pita bread that came with the plate. read more

I was out on a business trip and was looking for some good Arabic food. I'm a little picky since I've grown up with this kind of food. I saw the name Al Basha and figured this would be the spot. It was only a couple blocks from my hotel. (Belltown Inn) I walked in and looked around the vibe felt like a place you would find in Middle East, with the colors and decor. I was looking at the menu by the counter and the guy working the register said hello quickly and asked what he could get me. (Very welcoming) He told me what I wanted would take about 10 minutes to come out. So I sat down and waited. He brought it out to me around 10min later. I saw the food and was very please by the looks and I started eating! It was so good! The kofte kabab was so flavorful just like how my grandma used to make it! I have a couple more days left in town and will be for sure coming back to try the Friday special Mlukhiah with chicken. read more

I'm adjusting from 5 stars to 4 stars. I feel like there is some inconsistency in the quality. Sometimes it is amazing, and sometimes it is just good and slightly sloppy. And the one time I went here in person and didn't pay through an external party, there was an unexplained extra charge, so that was weird. I will keep going here and the food is typically great. I just wish it was more consistently amazing. Maybe they treat an order differently if in comes from Postmates. Whenever I've eaten at the restaurant, it has been excellent. Even though once I got something different than what I ordered. I didn't complain because whatever they gave me was way better than what I ordered. read more

I've eaten lunch at Al Basha four or five times now and enjoyed every menu item that I ordered. It's new it's bright it's clean it's not noisy (BIG plus, you can have a conversation) and it appears to be successful. So I hope they keep going because the middle eastern menu adds diversity to the neighborhood. When I first walk in I never quite know what to do. Order at the counter? Wait to be seated? Sit anywhere? I've simply adopted the method of looking confused and asking, "anywhere"? Works every time. read more

Shawarma Sandwich!! Wow!! It's the closest thing I've had to an authentic shawarma wrap here. Most others just give a gyro wrap. This is my new goto place now just for that!! Edit ========== I feel like I have been having the wrong items all this while. I mean I found the taste but never mind blowing. Shawarma aside, the Auzi Lamb is just mouth watering and melts. I'm going to be ordering here multiple times a week!!! It's so good, to stop eating just to write up this review!! Back to enjoying my Auzi and Shawarma!! read more

Very rude, tried to rip me off and laughed at me Did not appreciate the guy who was working when I went in the other day. He had airpods in and wasn't very friendly. I ordered two Gryo fries I said "two orders of Gryo fries" and he was like "french fries?" And I was like "GYRO fries!" And he was like "GYRO fries?!!??" And I was like "YEAH!" and he rang up my order, and the total came to $19.54 !!! And I told him "excuse me? $19.45?? For two Gryo fries?" And then he said "oh I thought you said french fries!" ???? I told him even two french fries one to $19.45, and he just laughed at me. And he asked me what I wanted, and I said "Gryo fries" And he was like you mean "Greek fries" I said "oh yeah I guess, the other place has Gryo fries" And he was laughing at me and smirked "gyro fries??!" Don't get me wrong, this place is good but every place can't be a 5* The Falafel is fantastic! The warm, moist (I said it) and delicious Falafel were so good that we went their twice. This place is my current obsession. I haven't been in store, so I can't comment to the restaurant itself (I use Postmates). If it were financially an option, I would eat here literally every day. The portions are more generous, and the flavors are perfection. Every bite is masterfully seasoned, but never overpowering to the senses. read more

I ordered a chicken shawarma salad through postmates and it was a total rip off. There were just 4-5 pieces of chicken inside a lot of cucumber and lettuce with hardly any dressing. Worst chicken shawarma salad i have ever had. read more

Our server told us that Homer's plates are meant to be family style and shared so their general recommendation is 1 large plate or 2 small plates per person. For us, we ordered the Set of top 3 spreads, lamb ragu on tahini and we were served with 5 pieces of warm pita. We also ordered Grilled Pork with Stinging nettles, raw albacore tuna with taramasalata, and smoked and shaved kohlrabi. Our server warned us that the pork was going to be on the fatty side but we were still surprised by how fatty it was. The spreads for the pita were amazing as usual-- their seasonal flavors taste amazingly fresh. Our table wanted to order more pita and when someone came by to take the empty plate they asked if we wanted more which we did let them know but even by the time we finished all the plates, we never got the additional pita so we just took it off. The Kohlrabi was an amazingly refreshing palette cleanser before the pork-- super light and refreshing. After we finished our meal we grabbed some soft serve from the window and wow, for 7$ it's quite a lot of ice cream! The flavors that were offered when we were there was Dark Chocolate and Kettlekorn. I sampled the swirl and the fusion of the saltiness of the kettle korn, the slight bitter and sweetness of the dark chocolate was immaculate. Final thoughts: very cool experience, inside I could see the open kitchen and the stone wood fired oven and the ingredients tasted amazing. However it is a little inconvenient that it's walk in unless you're a party of 6 since the lines and wait can get incredibly long. It's also difficult to find parking in the area. Very neat experience!

The food took quite a while to come out and when it finally arrived, it wasn't even hot. The bread honestly tasted like something bought from a grocery store. The rice was very bland, and although the salad was actually really good, the chicken was extremely dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. The presentation looked nice, but the taste just didn't match. The portions were also quite small, and the prices felt very high for what you get. The service was just okay overall. Maybe they are still new and working things out, but for the price and portion size it just didn't feel worth it. Overall, it felt like a waste of time and money considering the quality and quantity of the food.

Me and my friends have been waiting months for this new Mediterranean Restaurant to open and let me tell you that it was well worth the wait. Everything from the food to the service was downright amazing. I was born in Jordan so of course I wanted to critique the food hard but this food made me feel as if I was home. I got the Lamb/Beef Shawarma and the Falafel Plate. You can taste that all the ingredients are cooked properly. Meat is halal and both things I got where tasty. Food comes at a good portion, It gets you full and truly delights your stomach. Also they have a great deal of tasty desserts that are simply just not offered anywhere else. My girlfriends and I where very hungry after a long day of work and decided to drop by this newly opened restaurant. As soon as we walked in, the hospitality was on point. We where welly taken care of. Our waiter came by frequently to ensure our happiness with our experience. The food was amazing too. I ordered a Kofta plate and wow was it worth it. My plate was packed and for the price it was at it was a great deal. I was very full after and got some desserts to because they offered desserts simply not offered at other Mediterranean spots I've been too. I got a Hareesa and it was so yummy. I am glad a new affordable, tasty and great restaurant has opened in Belltown. I cannot wait to come back and try more things on the menu. Food is good, I only have my personal concern, The restaurant called Al Basha and maybe that is why owners hanged the pictures of Turkish Bashas(analog of minister), the problem is here that they hanged pictures of Talat and Enver bashas who are the ones who organized Armenian genocide in 1915, by killing over 1.5 million people, for Armenians it is the same if they hanged pictures of Hitler and Stalin, I don't know if the owners know that, that why I am acknowledging it. read more
