Sooo good! I've never had Peruvian food before and I think it's a great option to have it inside this great Vegas themed brewery. Since I have never had this kind of food I had no idea what to order. I've been here multiple times now and EVERYTHING I've ordered has been fantastic! The noodles are a must get! They are so delicious and have a flavor that I've never tasted before. The fried rice is also very good. The stir fry was incredible and with the fries underneath it actually worked! The shrimp was so delicious and fresh and the ribeye was flavorful. It was a food truck outside Five Suits brewery nestled in a business park. It was the first time we tried Peruvian food...we were not disappointed!! Food was delicious. I could tell they had high standards. Food tasted fresh... not microwaved or from a package. Everything tasted like it was just prepared for us. My son had the ribeye saltado. He said the meat was tender and a good ratio to rice and veggies. My husband had the chicken saltado and he was pleased with his order. My daughter had the Mar y Tierra chaufas. I had the chicken tallarín. Tomatoes were fresh and full of flavor. Everyone was pleased with their order. We'll definitely go back and try different items. read more

Extremely disappointing. Food was mediocre at best. Had the ribeye Saltado, just not good. Service was extremely poor, only one person working the front. As we were leaving, we could here the cooks cussing. Atmosphere was weird and not very clean. Besides the giant mural and decor by the entrance, there are TVs and a lot of blank walls. It happens . . . but always sad when the hype turns into mush. Found their trailer at an event and wanted to give them a try. There was a long wait, issues with payment, and the pricing was very, very high for what I got. I don't mind the issue here and there if the payoff is worth it but when it piles on it is not pleasant. Ordered the Ribeye Saltado which had nice meat on it. That's it, because the rest of the dish was super off balance. The sauce was strong, the rice was extremely salty, the dish itself was super sad for $17. Couldn't even finish it. Disappointed. I have been going to their food truck since they were in the lot at Five Suits Brewing in Vista and was super stoked to learn they were opening a brick + mortar in Oside. These guys, the staff, everything is just EXCELLENT! Being Peruvian (and a wannabe home chef), I have tried nearly all the Peruvian spots in North County, in Los Angeles, and in San Francisco (having lived 10+ years in each of these cities). Al Toque is one of the top top without being pretentious. Homestyle cooking, authentic, quality ingredients, and the flavor is just....ASUUUUUU. I could eat tallarin saltado with lomo on the regular. The lomo saltado is amazing, the ceviche is as good as it gets folks...canchita, camote, choclo, the works. It irks me to no end when so-called Peruvian restaurants skimp on authentic ingredients in the interest of gentrifying the food. Al Toque sticks to their roots because...Que Viva El Peru Carajo! The Lomo Saltado is Excellent! I recommend calling ahead to see where they're located because they do move around. I found them in front of the Costco in San Marcos when I ate here. I called ahead and my food was ready by the time I arrived. Their prices are pretty good compared to the other lomo saltados I've had at other restaurants. The flavor was on point and the portions were enough to fill me up. The meat was well seasoned and the tomatoes were a great addition to the meal. Try this with the green sauce! The green sauce does have a kick but overall tasted great with the dish. This is now a place I'd like to eat at regularly. Make sure they give you the green sauce bottle with those! Not that it needs it but the sauce is not to be missed. Then for our entrees we had the ceviche and the seafood paella. I adored the paella and my husband polished off the ceviche. For dessert they had a delicious chocolate cake. The staff is all so helpful and the restaurant is very cozy. This place has the best Peruvian food in San Diego! I wish they were located closer to central San Diego or open longer hours because they're food is so good. I hope they start maybe doing some farmers markets or markets down south more :) They are located in a food truck outside a brewery and there is lots of outside seating or u can sit In the brewery, they were having live music last time I was there. I love the lomo saltado, ceviche, and the Jalea is always my favorite. Their aji sauce is great too, and try the white sauce it's really good.
