Aladdin is definitely on the pricer end for Middle Eastern food but it was overall good. My favorite was their pita bread and Baba Ghaniuj. The potato kibbeh was too salty for my liking. I would NOT recommend their saffron rice, it was mushy and underflavored. The interior is small. They had 4 small tables so I would recommend this more for a to-go place. First time coming today. It's a really small and quaint place and very welcoming. We ordered the Mezze Sample Platter and it was vegan minus the Labneh (cheese). I've never given a restaurant under 4 stars until now. $17 for a tiny pita with falafel. The dude behind the counter couldn't have been any ruder if he tried. Amazing food, kind staff, so happy to have this here in Stowe. Long time passerby, first-time diner - finally! Popped in right as they were closing, and they were kind enough to let me order takeout for myself and my hangry toddler. We had the pita and the mediterranean salad, both with the falafel. Unbelievable; my daughter absolutely loved the pickled cabbage in the salad bowl. And a shelf full of goodies including the za'tar spice I've been hunting! Absolutely phenomenal! I came out here for two things. This restaurant, see Aladdin on a flying carpet, and the alchemist brewery. The food is UNBELIEVABLE! So fresh, so healthy, and just amazing. The story of the owner is pretty awesome as well...look it up in the STOWE (summer/fall 2024) magazine. Anyway, where I live in Mass there are not enough Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean restaurants close to me so this was a nice find. The pita bread is warm, soft & fresh! The Za'Tar chips were amazing- I tried the sample platter and it had baba ghanoush, labneh, falafel, grape leaves, hummus, tabbouleh-it was definitely more than enough for one person as it could be shared by two or three people! Too expensive. $20, for a takeout sandwich or small side of hummus? And they used to give you a pita when you ordered a meal. Now they charge extra for a pita. It ends up to be at least $25-$30 a person, for starters, to get a basic takeout lunch. AND, to add insult to the high price, when you give them your credit card, they turn the laptop-like register around to face you, with a big screen that asks which of the suggested tips you want to pay, for your takeout order. This is BEFORE you even get your order. I don't mind (and often do so) paying a tip for takeout, but I do not want to be pressured or guilted into doing it, by a cash register screen or undeserving employee. read more

Stopped here to grab lunch- I didn't realize they only had vegetarian options (my hubs is a meat eater/chickpea hater) but I went for it anyway and got us falafel pita sandwiches, and they were divine. The falafel was perfectly crisped and spiced, and the hodgepodge of pickled veg accompanied by the delicious tahini and spicy sauces were just amazing. Salty, spicy, briny, crunchy- all the flavors and textures! And the sandwiches are HUGE btw. Absolutely loved. I will be dreaming about this sandwich for a while since I can't get it easily. But if you can, I'd highly encourage you to do so. We also got a side of cauliflower shawarma and that was great too, just kind of salty for my liking. I would like it more with a little less salt, but loved the flavor otherwise. My toddler loved it for snacking. The owner told me they just opened a month ago and they are working through kinks. It takes a bit for them to make an order but they are truly making them with great care. He gave my daughter one of the little tahini cookies on the counter and I managed to snag a bite - so yummy too because it wasn't too sweet.
