Aladdin is definitely on the pricer end for Middle Eastern food but it was overall good. My favorite was their pita bread and Baba Ghaniuj. The potato kibbeh was too salty for my liking. I would NOT recommend their saffron rice, it was mushy and underflavored. The interior is small. They had 4 small tables so I would recommend this more for a to-go place. Lots of parking in front of the restaurant! Customer service is a 2/5. There was only one person working and he was very rude. First time coming today. It's a really small and quaint place and very welcoming. We ordered the Mezze Sample Platter and it was vegan minus the Labneh (cheese). The pita bread is warm and fresh and nothing like I've ever tried before. There is no meat here which is amazing! The Shawarma Cauliflower is incredible too! I've never given a restaurant under 4 stars until now. $17 for a tiny pita with falafel. The dude behind the counter couldn't have been any ruder if he tried. I asked for hot sauce and said he'd have to charge me for it! What!! The food is good, but way overpriced and bad attitude. Never coming back. read more

Amazing food, kind staff, so happy to have this here in Stowe. Long time passerby, first-time diner - finally! Popped in right as they were closing, and they were kind enough to let me order takeout for myself and my hangry toddler. We had the pita and the mediterranean salad, both with the falafel. Unbelievable; my daughter absolutely loved the pickled cabbage in the salad bowl. And a shelf full of goodies including the za'tar spice I've been hunting! Menu's on the fridge for adding to the regular weekend takeout rotation. What a gem! read more

Absolutely phenomenal! I came out here for two things. This restaurant, see Aladdin on a flying carpet, and the alchemist brewery. I didn't get to see Aladdin on the magic carpet but I did get to eat some damn good food and beer. Highly recommend to anybody who is local or out of town to try this little spot! read more

Quite literally the best hummus and falafel I've ever had. Midway through lunch, my traveling companion and I looked at each other and said (almost at the same time) we're getting hummus to go to have in our room! The food is UNBELIEVABLE! So fresh, so healthy, and just amazing. The story of the owner is pretty awesome as well...look it up in the STOWE (summer/fall 2024) magazine. Anyway, where I live in Mass there are not enough Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean restaurants close to me so this was a nice find. The pita bread is warm, soft & fresh! The Za'Tar chips were amazing- I tried the sample platter and it had baba ghanoush, labneh, falafel, grape leaves, hummus, tabbouleh-it was definitely more than enough for one person as it could be shared by two or three people! I hope this place will be in Stowe, VT forever! read more

Too expensive. $20, for a takeout sandwich or small side of hummus? And they used to give you a pita when you ordered a meal. Now they charge extra for a pita. It ends up to be at least $25-$30 a person, for starters, to get a basic takeout lunch. AND, to add insult to the high price, when you give them your credit card, they turn the laptop-like register around to face you, with a big screen that asks which of the suggested tips you want to pay, for your takeout order. This is BEFORE you even get your order. I don't mind (and often do so) paying a tip for takeout, but I do not want to be pressured or guilted into doing it, by a cash register screen or undeserving employee. read more

SO GOOD. Stopped here to grab lunch- I didn't realize they only had vegetarian options (my hubs is a meat eater/chickpea hater) but I went for it anyway and got us falafel pita sandwiches, and they were divine. The falafel was perfectly crisped and spiced, and the hodgepodge of pickled veg accompanied by the delicious tahini and spicy sauces were just amazing. Salty, spicy, briny, crunchy- all the flavors and textures! And the sandwiches are HUGE btw. Absolutely loved. I will be dreaming about this sandwich for a while since I can't get it easily. But if you can, I'd highly encourage you to do so. We also got a side of cauliflower shawarma and that was great too, just kind of salty for my liking. I would like it more with a little less salt, but loved the flavor otherwise. My toddler loved it for snacking. The owner told me they just opened a month ago and they are working through kinks. It takes a bit for them to make an order but they are truly making them with great care. He gave my daughter one of the little tahini cookies on the counter and I managed to snag a bite - so yummy too because it wasn't too sweet. We tried nearly everything on the menu, and I've now been ruined for hummus from anywhere else. The flavors and textures in the cauliflower pita are absolutely perfect, and both the baba ganoush and hummus are impossibly creamy. I wish I could give them 10 stars!!! Even my meat eating husband was happy with the choices I made for lunch! The lentil soup was delicious and the perfect temperature. (I hate cold soup!)We shared the cauliflower bowl and falafel and hummus. We had plenty of leftover hummus to enjoy at dinner. The pita bread was warm and soft, definitely the best pita I've ever had! Since I am a picky eater they were very accommodating when I customized my order. Make sure you get a few tahini cookies, but get there before me because I can't get enough of them! It's great to have a healthy and tasty option for lunch. read more

Holy. Moly. This place is fantastic. I can't find Mediterranean food this good in Burlington at all. So glad it's close to home! Mediterranean bowl with a side of lentil soup and you are good to go. For the main course, I chose from the Earthenware Casseroles and ordered the Lamb Guvec ($27.99). Had a little bit of everything on their food truck menu at an event in South Burlington. Everything tasted amazing!! All the offerings at this event were vegan. I eat a plant based diet, so it was convenient for me, but my family, who are not on a plant based diet, got food too and everyone really enjoyed their food. In a word: delicious! Aladdin Restaurant serves really excellent authentic Middle Eastern food ! Hummus, Tahini, grilled eggplant Tahini salad, Falafel, Tabbouleh and more. Everything is very tasty and very fresh! Delicious food! Large portions. Falafel was green! The employees were so friendly and each one treated the place like their own and they made the food quickly. We were the last ones in there and they gave us free food to sample. Came as a group of 7 and the employees happily pushed two tables together to seat us. Would highly recommend!
