never send boxes thru this company!! the office manager is rude and they will tell other customers your business! i have been sending my boxes through them for a very long time, i was late with a payment, when they delivered my 2 boxes in manila, the driver was instructed to take the boxes back. ok i understood and made a payment. although i have been a loyal customer, sending more than 5 boxes per month, did not show any consideration to atlease leave the boxes since it's already there. mind you, the contents of my boxes are all donations and support for my dog shelter! i have over 400 dogs there!! the office manager alice, called my aunt who is also a customer, told my aunt that i owed them for 2 boxes, and told my aunt the dates i sent them. how unprofessional!! now, that was like more than a month ago. to my surprise, i found out from my caretaker who is in the philippines, that the boxes were never delivered again!! i called the main office, once again alice told me it was delivered and had a major attitude!! i told her my boxes were not delivered and insisted that it was! does not listen to customers' issue and responded rudely! and she is very unprofessional to tell my business to another customer!! i tried to contact the owner of the business, but i was told that i would have to deal with alice instead! never again!!! read more

This is the second time that it happened. Only because my sister was kind enough to allow the driver to do it. The driver asked to use our restroom and appeared to really need it. I think it is disrespectful to us customers. If he really needed to use the facilities, he could have stopped by a gas station or fast food place. Another thing, this particular driver took his time inside our bathroom, like more than 10 minutes. Doing God knows what. Ewww. We had to throw away some of our personal items in there and do a lot of sanitation. Bottomline: that is very unprofessional and just plain yuck. Please remind your couriers to NOT use our homes to relieve themselves! We are not picking your courier company again. There are lots to choose from anyway. read more

I sent a box that was taped and strapped to the Philippines. When the box was delivered we discovered a lot of items had been removed from the box. When I contacted Alas customer service, they just sent me pictures of the box which appeared to have been opened and taped again. I sent an email to follow up and never received a response. I would not recommend using this company to send your items to the Philippines. Unfortunately, I sent another box a couple of weeks ago prior to the first box arriving. Last time we sent 3 boxes back in June, we didnt get the replacement boxes because the driver ran out if boxes. And didnt give us our change. Yesterday 8/5/2016, we got their driver pick up 1 box and we were hoping to get the boxes we didnt get last time but the guy was charging us $5!!! They already owe us boxes from June and the $5 change they never gave. Now they want to charge us $5 per box for all those replacement boxes we should have received last time?! It seems to me thats how they get extra money. They dont give replacement boxes and they keep charging $5 for whenever we request to have those boxes. SMH ALAS CARGO! We ship atleast 2 boxes quarterly, and this is the kind of service we get!!! read more

I have sent probably around 150 boxes and all have arrived in Iloilo or other parts of Iloilo Province without any problems. One box was opened by Customs and one looked like it had been dropped but since most of these boxes are very heavy I can understand it. Someone complained about the cost of the boxes, they always cost $5, they don't provide a replacement box like some companies but you also pay a lot less to ship your boxes. My family and I used this shipping company for about a year. They've been pretty good. Until now. My aunt sent something to my mom that was very expenxsive. My aunt asked REPEATEDLY if it was safe to send it through them. They said that it was in fact safe. They said that they've not had anything stolen from them before. So, feeling confident, she went ahead and sent it. When it arrived in the Philippines, there were two slashes on the box and the expensive thing was gone. They claimed it wasn't them. When my aunt complained about it, they said they would take care of it. It took the company FOUR MONTHS to get back to us. They came at us with, we never packed the item. They said that they wouldn't give us the "insurance" because it wasn't the ENTIRE BOX that was gone. It was simply an item. Then, when we said that we have TWO witnesses about the slashes they said that it was never complained. "Long story short"...this company has NO comprehension of "customer's are always right" and have NO compassion to their customers and their personal affects. read more

Stay away from this forwarders. If I could give a NEGATIVE STARS I would! Before I left to the mother country, I sent 3 boxes (2 to Iloilo and 1 to Manila) to the Philippines. By the time my boxes arrived ALL BOXES were OPENNED and some of my things were missing! The WORSE PART all the baseball equipment I donated to the kids were stolen... 5 HELMETS (2 were brand new)... all the BASEBALL GLOVES... all the BASEBALLS were all GONE! There were only some shoes and baseball bags left! I'm really pissed cause they're NOT STEALING from me... it's these LOSERS who are STEALING from these kids! Some of my personal things like shirts and tools were also missing! I've done business with this company many times and their services turned out to be ok until now. Turns out that a valuable item was taken out specifically from a bag that was inside the box. Meaning it was no accident that they just cut out a small portion of the box and reached in and grabbed it but was intentionally taken out in a black bag inside of our box. They did a small investigation just based on couple pictures that they have taken when they made a delivery. it was till my sister opened the box and grabbed the black bag in which the valuable item was placed into. Shockingly, that it wasn;t there. I then contacted their main office in Hayward. and couple days later called me and say that there was no foul play! and you can say that they were letting that stuff happen just like that! Anyways, I will never ever do business with these company! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND DO BUSINESS SOME PLACE ELSE. YOUR VALUABLE ITEMS ARE NOT SAFE WITH THESE PEOPLE.!!!!
