Food quality and food options were weak, but bar served delicious complimentary premium/seasonal cocktails to Alaska Summit cardholders! Ample seating options and a great place to hang out before a flight.

Had a very long layover in SFO-4 hours- so I decided to spring for a day pass ($65) We fly Alaska all the time but we're too cheap to spring for the membership-haha! The SFO Alaska lounge is located across gate B6 in Terminal 1. Very nice and had a variety of hot foods-today was penne with choice of sauce, vegetable egg rolls, stir fried green beans with looked like bits of meat, and salad bar. It's not a full on spread but decent. This was 1600 in the afternoon. For morning hours I assume they would have breakfast items as I see toasters. Lots of choices for drinks (coffees, teas, fountain drinks) It's rather large and spacious with lounger seats, an eating bar all along the window overlooking the tarmac, as well as tables and tables. It's a nice place to relax and get some quiet time.

Bar area all the way to the end. Don't miss it!

Very nice space. Lots of loungers with view of the planes parked on the surrounding B gates. There's a barista too and full bar all the way to the end of the lounge. The only negative is the sparse food selection compared to Club SFO. Getting into this lounge is a little harder. If you're flying First on Alaska, it has to be longer than 2000 mi. Or if you're flying business or higher internationally on partner airline. I heard so many people getting rejected trying to get into this lounge

This was my first time at the Alaska Airlines Lounge after their move from their previous spot (which was across Napa Farms Market). I was a bit confused walking in, since I remember telling myself "I don't remember having to use an elevator to get up to the lounge..." Wow! Talk about space! There's plenty of space to spread out here - this lounge is more of a longer/linear type of floorplan, than wide. To the right of the check-in desk is their "quiet space" - with ample seating, including two "telephone booths". If you take a left from the check-in desk, there's a coffee station, hot foods bar, salad bar, drinks station, the timeless pancake machines, and even more seating. The cocktail bar is also further down this way too. Food was decent - I mean, don't expect any Michelin star dining here. It was better than whatever fare was available in the terminal, though. I had to get creative though, since there wasn't really a lot of protein choices. Warren, one of the lounge attendants - was especially friendly and cheerful, when I was looking around, after sharing it was my first time visiting the lounge since prior to their move (usually, my flight schedule have a short layover - I only had lounge time this visit due to my flight back to SNA being delayed for hours).

Great lounge! Very clean and spacious. Friendly staff. Very pleasant visit, will come back again!

Comfy seats were nice for this weary traveler.

The food is good and pretty varied - I had some Thai coconut soup, chicken thighs, mashed potatoes, and pancakes from the fun pancake machine. Halfway through my visit, they brought out some gildas & spanakopita. They're also stocked with treats like Ghirardelli chocolates, cookies, and more along with snacks. They have a freestyle Coca Cola machine but when I was there they were out of any diet options. I opted for an unsweetened iced tea. The bar area is beautiful and signature cocktails, house wines, and beer are included. There is an up charge for "premium" spirits, wine and beer. Overall this was a great lounge experience - plenty of seating, easy entry, good food, and good drink options. Well worth the $15 up charge for Priority Pass and I'd definitely return.

Walking off a plane at that hour, you are not looking for much, just somewhere quiet to land. The Alaska Lounge was right across from our gate. First time in, and the staff made it feel like they were glad we showed up. Friendly, genuine, no airport-zombie energy. The space is impressive. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the tarmac and the hillside, plenty of natural light, and seating for every mood: work tables, soft chairs, window loungers, even a private booth if you need to take a call. I planted myself at a window seat and didn't move. The bar is well-stocked. What stood out was having an actual barista on-site. Oat milk latte and a bowl of steel cut oatmeal, exactly what I needed at that hour. One honest note: the food selection was thin and several items needed restocking when we came through. The staff were apologetic and moved quickly, which matters. But the variety just wasn't there. Solid lounge. Good people. Great space. The food program has room to grow into what the rest of the experience already delivers.

There are both elevators and stairs up to the lounges. This lounge is just mediocre to me because it's a little small and the food selection is limited. They do offer Asian style food options if your taste is for Asian food. The food we had was tasty. It will definitely get you by until your in-flight meal on an international flight. Service was good and they come by to clear plates and cups frequently. Personally I like the Virgin Atlantic Lounge better, but their hours and acceptance of Priority Pass is more limited than China Airlines Lounge. Not sure if this lounge has showers, but the Virgin Atlantic one does. Overall, it's a nice place to pass your time while waiting for your flight.

One caveat though that Jamie W and I discovered was that if your flight leaves from International Area A, you're given access to this business class lounge instead. That's because it's a rather excessive 25-minute walk away from the United Polaris Lounge in International Area G. When we asked the check-in agent whether this lounge was comparable to Polaris, he gave it an 8 out of 10. He was being much too generous. It turned out to be a claustrophobic two-room space where ironically, the first-class room was more cramped than the general area. There were barely any outlets, and it was so tight that the rotating chairs kept banging into each other. There were three warmers of hot Chinese food, but none of it was that tempting. We managed to snack on stale cookies and diet soft drinks. There was a full staff operating here, but the experience didn't really warrant that level of attention. I think the next time, we'll just build in the extra time to get back and forth from Polaris if we really want the more ideal lounge experience. RELATED - Waiting at the airport?
