Stopped by this beautiful shop to get some breakfast and do some school work, and it was great experience. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They recommended the Love Potion Latte, and it was delicious. I also had a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, and it was so delicious! The eggs were so fluffy and cheesy. The bacon was well distributed throughout the bagel. The bagel was toasted well and still soft on the inside. The music that they play is very soft and relaxing. There are plenty of tables and chairs to sit around and enjoy the vibes. I will definitely visit again.

Atmospheric vibes definitely pass! This shop is comfortable and spacious. Seems like a good spot to setup your laptop and setup camp. The decor was artsy and eclectic. We really enjoyed that! The food and coffee itself felt somewhat average but the service was very friendly! We ordered iced chai, a flavored iced coffee, plus a salmon cream cheese and BEC. Was surprised to see that the sandwiches were served on flimsy paper plates. Plus the bacon, egg, and cheese was actually Canadian bacon. A bit unexpected and not specified as such. But all in all, a pleasant experience! I'd return if I'm the area again.

Very cute inside! Server was kind and my iced americano was delicious. Got it with sugar free caramel and sugar free vanilla. Seems like a great spot to meet up with friends or curl up with a book.

Another artsy coffee shop in the downtown area! From the vintage decor on the walls to the variety of seating around the cafe as well, it's a spot that truly says "This is Downtown Norfolk past to present". The staff is welcoming; they immediately greet you with a smile and are helpful when you're ordering too. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with almond milk (my usual) but I forgot to snap of photo of it. It was good. Not too sweet and the espresso was nice. Wasn't the strongest I ever had but it got the job done on that day and I enjoyed it. It was made pretty fast which I appreciated. My friend ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel which I managed to snap a photo of and their drip coffee. I'm not sure why this place is a popular spot in the area. I found it to be pretty average food and coffee wise. My friend agreed with me. But there is definitely something special about this place that I want to find out about... so I'll be making another trip to this spot when I am back in town.

Another cute cozy neighborhood coffee shop! A lot of seating with sweet and savory food items! I got the grilled cheese,yo pistachio and carrot cake muffin! With a white chocolate mocha - almond milk! All was very delicious and the service was really nice and knowledgeable when asking about the pastries at the front! Will have to come back to stay longer.. maybe play some board games I saw they have up against the wall! Or even have a day time meeting

I wandered into this place while I was downtown recently waiting for a concert to start over at the Norva. It was chilly that day, and I'm not much of a coffee drinker, so I opted for the hot chocolate. Super yummy! Comfy leather couches let me sit peacefully and read a book, at least until they kicked everyone out for some kind of private kid's piano recital thing? Sort of weird, but okay. The entire place is ecclectic - nothing really matches and it's a little over-stuffed, like your grandmother's attic. Overall, not a bad experience.

I have seen aLatte Cafe (AC) on social media and didn't realize where they were located. The other day, I had parked in the metered lot nearby, visiting another restaurant and it caught my eye on the way back to my car. I had had a full meal, but something sweet to cap off the meal never hurts. Located on Granby, the only thing that they don't have going for them is the parking situation. This, of course, is no fault of their own, but I'm sure the parking is a big factor for some when deciding to visit or not. There is street parking (metered) or paid lots like the one I parked in. Hefty fees though, so you've been warned! The vibe is a little bit of everything from antiques, to photography. There is a photograph gallery, a bookshelf full of books and board games. A section for merch too. They have a huge chalkboard with all their offerings behind the service counter. I was in a rush to get back home, so it was a bit overwhelming. I glazed over the menu in fear of being paralyzed with order fright. I saw the ice cream freezer at the service counter, so I just stuck with a cookies and cream milkshake because one of the baristas kept scooping up ice cream in blenders. Their ice cream is from Hershey and they have a variety of flavors. My milkshake was smooth! I saw an espresso milkshake after I ordered, so I'll have to go back for that. Service was friendly and super quick, which is much appreciated in a post COVID world. Stay safe, Friends!!

Cool place on Granby St downtown, helped wife's caffeine fix during Grand Illumination parade. Enjoy on site or take to go like I did. Nooks and books to cozy up with a variety of food and bev options. Vanilla latte was a win.

Don't sleep on this place. Awesome milkshakes. They are the only ones that can get that Nutella flavor that I like. They are also very kind and professional baristas!

I love the friendly faces and the tasty drinks. This combination goes a long way. Good customer service excels when you ask what should I get and your provided with options and a you can't go wrong assurance. I have come here a few times when in the area and it's never a disappointment. Hot fresh drinks and plenty of options on the board with seasonal varieties too. Seating available inside and outside.

Go here. Sit here. Sip your coffee. Here. Took a stroll downtown and found this gem. Laid back vibe. Friendly staff. Quiet shop. Great spot to sit and read a book and just chill. A variety of syrup flavors. And my fave....florals! I combined violet and rose with oat milk and had the latte of my dreams. I will be back but their hours are so hard when it's not the weekend. But it is all worth the wait.....

I was taken care of by the chef and she was very helpful with the menu. They have so many appetizing options on their mostly healthy, all fresh menu. I love soup, so I love that they offer several each day, with some standards, plus a soup of the day, which on the day I visited was cream of potato. Where I sat at the counter, I could watch them making all the food and I was impressed to see that they don't just ladle soup into a bowl to serve it, they actually cook and prepare, then dress it to plate it perfectly. Their cream of potato was really good and not the traditionally made where the potato is pureed into the soup - rather they make a creamy soup base and then add potatoes to it. The combo of the soup, a small piece of potato, scallion, and a small piece of bacon really made for a great spoonful in each spoonful I enjoyed!! My coworker got their Asian Chicken Noodle and that looked amazing! He said it was incredible. Next up was the entrée and we both got their lamb gyro.... It's not the traditional gyro, it's an openfaced style, just like their chicken salad toast. It was really good! The tzatziki was great on it! And we also got a side of their cucumber feta salad... this tasted fresh and the feta was vibrant, with the combo of the cucumber and feta together being incredibly tasty. Overall, another very nice visit to a Stockpot restaurant... Looks like I need to try their Chesapeake location to get the trifecta of Stockpot! Highly recommend stopping in!

The restaurant was very clean, and since it wasn't too busy, we were seated right away. The staff was welcoming and friendly. A few minutes after we placed our order, we were informed that they were out of breakfast potatoes, which was surprising since it was still before 10 a.m. This limited some of the breakfast options, so I ended up ordering the Selden Breakfast (a biscuit sandwich), a kid's chicken noodle soup, a biscuit on the side, and a lavender matcha. The sandwich was delicious, especially after adding the garlic aioli. My only complaint was that the biscuit wasn't served warm, and I think warming it would have elevated the sandwich. The biscuit we ordered on the side was also not warm. The lavender flavor in the matcha was enjoyable, but the drink itself missed the mark. The color and matcha flavor seemed off, and it wasn't mixed well--I could see clumps of matcha powder sitting in the ice. On a positive note, my nephew really enjoyed the chicken noodle soup. Overall, I was a bit underwhelmed by the experience, but there were enough positives that I'd be willing to come back and give it another try.

There were tons of appetizers to snack on throughout the night. Hummus and pita, charcuterie, chips with salsa and queso, all the good, crowd pleasing stuff done well. Everything was fresh and easy to grab, which worked perfectly for a party setting. The best part by far was the taco bar. I had the beef tacos and they were seriously some of the best tacos I've had in a while. The beef was super flavorful and cooked perfectly, and I definitely went back for more than one. You know it's good when everyone keeps circling back for seconds. Even though I was there for a private event, I really liked the vibe of the place. It feels like somewhere you could easily pop in with friends, grab a drink, and hang out without it feeling stuffy or rushed. I ordered the Parmesan-crusted chicken with roasted potatoes and collard greens. The chicken was juicy (not dry at all) and cooked perfectly--something that sounds simple but is rarely executed this well.
