Environment: My cousin and I were starving late at night, and we were craving tacos. We found that Albertacos was close by and still open. I went through the drive thru. Be careful when pull up to the window because there's a big tip jar that is placed right in front that may possibly scratch your rear view mirror. Learn from my mistakes. Staff: The cashier was very nice. I didn't have much interaction with the staff since I did go through drive thru. I thought the cooks worked quick for freshly made food. Throughput was under 10 minutes. Food: We both ordered a combination plate. I ordered the Carnitas Plate. This plate came with Spanish rice, brown beans, salsa, green sauce, tortillas, and lettuce. The carnitas taco was delicious. The rice tasted as if it were homemade by a Latina mom (that type of best rice). Beans are beans. I rated this dish an 8.5/10. My cousin ordered the Carne Asada Plate which also came with the same sides as mine, but she adjusted her's with no beans, extra rice, and extra onions. She rated her plate an 8/10. Our plates were still warm by the time we got back home. Safe to say our late night cravings were definitely fulfilled. Price: I thought prices were a bit more than average. Compared to other Mexican food restaurants, these prices were $1 or more. Though, I felt that it was worth it for a late night crave. read more

Stopped by this place on a quick lunch break closest to me . The two stars are for the tortilla and the agua de Jamaica . I shouldn't have to microwave my burrito because the meat is luke warm , there was some green gunk inside not sure if it was salsa or suppose to be guac ?it made it super messy . Asada burrito really didn't have any flavor all I tasted was the pico del gallo and the green juice everything was floating in . Service was great thru the drive thru.. in a nice neighborhood but won't be going back .. not with the $18 I paid for . If I would have paid like $10 then maybe I'll take a nasty burrito but no thank you . read more

Yoooooooooooooooooo! You ever goto a restaurant that you just goto, to remind you of places you went to when you were younger? Thats what I did today, The Albertacos I use to goto so often after a party was the one in cypress and I saw they had one close by my job so just felt like stopping by to see if it was still good. I remember when I was younger only thing I really liked was the carne sada fries from them, and today they definitely did not disappoint. I forgot how good they were, of course theres so much better carne sada fries places but maybe it just hit the spot cause it brought so much good memories growing up lol But it did taste definitely the same growing up, only thing is this place definitely put way to much cheese very little guac and sour cream but it still tasted amazing. I always ask for 2 red hot sauces and 1 green and just dump it on top. The hot sauces aren't too spicy they are definitely watered down but still amazing. Oh and they did put alot of meat on it, cant complain about that, but I do wish there meat had some fat in it or marbling lol Yeah definitely cant ask for meat with nice marbling at a fast food joint lol the price did increase alot too its like $17 now and $20 plus fees on the app which goes to 27 but I just picked it up, and ambiance was a mid dirty fast food looking and sounding joint. read more

more like a 2.5 out of 5 stars. Craving mexican food and was too lazy to drive somewhere to pick it up. We ended up getting one Fries with adobada (which is pretty much like al pastor). It came with sour cream, cheese and guacamole. I paid 13 bucks for it. Honestly, i don't think it was worth it. The fries were the thin ones that don't soak up a lot of the flavor and the guacamole was the fake kind, almost liquid. The adobada was alright but kinda dry. The Mission Veijo california burrito was pretty good, it was tasty, but for 11 bucks i also don't think it's completely worth it. The last item was a torta. Honestly don't get a choirzo torta from this place. It almost was like eating fake meat. i don't know how to describe it, but i would stay away from it. I used to really like this place, but I ordered here recently and I requested extra cheese and sour cream (which maybe annoyed them) and after eating like half of it, I found MULTIPLE hairs in my carne asada fries. I instantly felt sooo disgusted and sick. It definitely seemed intentional with how many were in there and the different kinds of hair. Based on some of the reviews I almost didn't stop in but under strong advisement of a coworker, I decided to give it a shot. I used the drive thru, took a minute to get someone to answer. They were short and to the point. When I met her at the window she was polite and reminded me of my grandma - refreshing. I ordered the hard shell taco and tostada plate and a side of taquitos [the real reason for my trip] I definitely over ordered but I figured it's Friday so why now? The taquitos were fried to perfection, beef inside wasn't dry and they have the perfect amount of guacamole and cheese without anything being soggy. The tostada was great too, beans were good and shell was super crunchy. But the best part, their rice. The perfect amount of flavor and salt - so yummy. Both red and green salsas have a great flavor. Super disappointed. Not the cleanest place out there but from the menu, looked like authentic food so thought would give it a try. We went to buy lunch and placed a simple order of taquitos, rice and beans. The taquitos were not great, not flavorful and definately overcooked (which I was lucky not to break a tooth). In fact, I could barely taste the meat filling. So minus 1 star off the bat. We also ordered 2 orders of beans/rice which came in 1 small container each (with no utencils.. minus 1 star) and an order of salsa (the menu said it came with chips, which we got none). The container of "salsa" was more a pico and when pointed out to the older woman that we had ordered salsa (this pico had zero liquid in it so looked more like a chopped veggie salad, certainly not salsa) she argued and just said this is what we ordered -- minus another star. We wanted salsa so asked again and she continued to argue in an agressive manner so we just left...minus 2 stars. We won't go back. The ladies didn't offer to replace or suggest we buy what we wanted. Again, disappointing. There is zero necessity for rudeness over chopped tomatoes. It was New Years Day and I was after a breakfast burrito and a machaca burrito. I drove around striking out at many places not being open and found Albertacos open so I decided to give it a go in the breakfast burrito battle. My friends swear by the carne asada fries so I figured what the heck. So this review is strictly based on machca and their breakfast burrito. Got the good back to the house and unwrapped the goodness. I like to cut my burritos in half and the first thing I noticed was that my breakfast burrito had ham in it, which I asked for no ham. I had to take it out as it wasn't the best-looking or tasting ham. and I don't think ham belongs in a breakfast burrito. The next thing I noticed was that it was not potatoes it was french fries, not a deal-breaker but I think their menu said potatoes. Overall it was not a great entry in the breakfast burrito competition. The machaca on the other hand was great. I would definitely grab this again. Nice spicy beef with the eggs paired really well with the salsa. If you are on the fence between the two for a morning burrito go with the machca. I do want to try other stuff from here because I have heard good things from friends. Funny thing that happened during my visit was that I asked for peppers and when I got home I had a ramekin of black pepper....ummm ok....I was hoping for some jalapenos. I used to come here all the time and had little to no issues. I noticed when I would come at night that a specific cook would mess my order up or prepare it incorrectly. Tonight I went and got my same regular order but this time the guacamole was BROWN! The guacamole was BITTER when I licked it and I never had guacamole that looked like this ever. However, it is one of the few spots available on Postmates while at work. Working the night shift, I don't have many choices, especially for decent Mexican food. Here's what I ordered: **California Burrito w/ salsa verde & habanero: I always taste test the salsas first because that's a big factor for me. The salsa verde wasn't too bad, but the habanero one was very disappointing and not spicy at all. The burrito itself was a good size, but not much filling. I've been eating at Albertacos since I moved to the area; about 7 years ago, and it's always been a quick, convenient, tasty meal at a reasonable price. Today was above average. I ordered a meat burrito and beef enchiladas, and both were amazing!! The order was ready and handed to me right away since I placed the order online. Last time I waste money here I live across the street from this place, and we have been pretty regularly going there for many years. We ordered two of the carne asada nacho plates - at EIGHTEEN DOLLARS a pop - just to get home and find out that they made them from premade, bagged chips. How is it that a decent taqueria can't make their own tortilla chips (like they used to)? You've lost us, and I see from other recent reviews that people are getting fed up with your crap. So i live in Orange and have seen this place for years, even before it was turned into an albertacos. I've always gone to the one on ball and state college, but their asada let me down and had filler meat in it, so i decided to try this place. It was actually good, i had a taco de asada just to try it and i wish i would have gotten the burrito. No filler meat here (atleast this visit) and it was very good. I also tried the shrimp burrito and it was very good as well. I did notice it takes a while for the food but because they don't start cooking it , until it's ordered. Horchata is ok and they have all the other fountain drinks as well. Will be going back to see how consistent they are with the food. Edit: went back again and the kids loved the carne asada fries, yes they are the thinner fries, but my oldest told me it's not as greasy as the other Albertacos on ball. Salsas are really good and once again the asada did not disappoint. I would have taken a pic but it was fine before i could lol read more

I ordered the most basic item on the menu--a carne asada burrito--and was really disappointed. Instead of the usual ingredients, it was filled with all sorts of random stuff that didn't belong. The entire thing was drenched in oil and some kind of red sauce, which made it not only greasy but also pretty unpleasant to eat. The tortilla was soggy, and overall, the burrito just tasted bad. Everytime I come here they never have anything. This is my third time giving this location a chance and everytime I leave a bit annoyed. No red sauce, no sauce, never any carrots ever!
