Do not recommend due to poor and rude service. Came in and were about to be seated. Then the host (as he is walking us to our open table) refused to seat us at the open table - suddenly said he had to seat a larger party there that came in AFTER us. Walked us back to waiting area and made us wait another ~20 minutes while he seated other parties. We would have left had it not been a busy night and not much else open on NY day. Also want to echo other comments here about ride manager - and also lots of signs all over about rules and "no substitutions"- not a very friendly customer service culture! I have been coming to Alberto's for a while now and have always had a decent experience. Unfortunately tonight I was greeted at the host stand by a woman who asked me for an ID for my service dog. I let her know that by ADA law we are not required to have an ID for a service dog. She said people lie and I needed to present an ID. I was more hurt than anything because I tried to explain what ADA requires and her response was that she has lawyers. I felt very uncomfortable and am disappointed to not eat here anymore and support the local business. My dog and I have eaten here multiple times prior to tonight, so I was shocked at the sudden change in attitude towards service animals. I left the business letting them know I would not be eating here again simply because they are not ADA compliant nor friendly. read more

This is going by to be the best Mexican food you can find from West Yellowstone to Bozeman. Everything about the dining experience is enjoyable. The staff is on top of their game! The chips and dip are alway fresh and made in house! I really enjoy the different variations of tacos and enchiladas they have. Albertos had much more of an authentic menu, majority of their tortillas will be corn. Alberto's is known for their fajitas and margaritas. Sitting outside with friends makes everything that much better. This time I ordered the enchiladas Rojas they were perfect. Great portions with enough to take home. This is a cute restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. There wasn't much variety on the menu, but still a good option to choose from him. The chips would salsa were delicious, but the chips are quite salty. I reckon ask them to be light on the salt when you order. They don't have it on the menu, but they have a kids option that the waiter told us about. For $12 you get a plate of rice and beans, with your choice of taco or quesadilla. I really liked the gringo tacos, which was a hard choice because I also wanted the street tacos. You get a good amount of food for your money. Service was really good. read more

While walking through big ski town we found this cute Mexican resaurant. The chips and queso were AMAZING! The chips were so good we wanted to take another basket home! The cheese was out in a skillet and you can get it topped with meat or mushrooms. I also enjoyed my meal of pollo asado! You can pick from rice and black beans or refried beans. Our family went to eat tonight. My daughter broke her jaw and we went and got a smoothie for her to drink. They would not let us bring the smoothie into the restaurant even with her medical condition. Manager and hostess were unfriendly and unwilling to listen. Would never eat her again. We really liked this place and the food was very good. I was Leary based on the reviews, but my family and I had a great experience. The hostess and waiter both went above and beyond our expectations. Food was fresh and flavorful. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the scenery of Big Sky. Stopped here in Big Sky and had a standard meal-- they didn't serve chips and salsa for free...? I have never experienced that at a Mexican restaurant before! Then at the end of our meal they said they couldn't split a bill for more than a party of 6? Are you serious? PLUS they made your bill include a standard tipping! While in Montana my wife and I went to Big Sky to check it out. It was about 2:30pm we decided to grab late lunch. We saw Alberto's and went in to eat. Hardly anyone in there. We asked if we could eat outside, we were told only 4 people tables out there. Ok how about inside in front of the window, no only a corner table which was a 4 place table I might ad. I said we will just take this table by the window. Waiter said if you sit there we won't serve you. I said how about we just leave, waiter says "that's your choice". We left. Never been so insulted by such rudeness from a business clearly struggling since it's off season for ski town. I would not eat here ever!!! read more

Don't bother ordering here. Their website has prices that according to them are 9 years old and they can't update. When you go to pick up your to go order you're surprised by prices that are almost double what you expected based on the website and also a mandatory 18% gratuity that they conveniently forget to tell you when you call your order in. Rip off. When you raise your concerns you're met by an ***hole bartender that doesn't try to make anything right. Oh and the food isn't even that good for the headache bait and switch. My fiancé and I went to this restaurant after an exhausting drive upon arriving in big sky. Unfortunately, they were understaffed, and it took the server a while to get to our table. That's understandable given that it's the off-season in Big Sky, but if you are planning to go here during the off-season, definitely bargain for more time. We enjoyed the chicken fajita entree. It came out on a smoking hot skillet and it was nicely flavored. The grilled vegetables were delicious. Where this restaurant fell short were the stables. We tried to order a guacamole appetizer, but we were told that there was only enough guacamole in the kitchen to go with the entrees. When we actually received our entrée, which were the fajitas, there was the tiniest little dab of guacamole on the plate. It was so disappointing. You might as well not serve guacamole and offer something else in its place if you're going to stiff the customer of the guac. This restaurant does provide large portions, not did make up for the disappointing, guacamole distribution. The service was relatively fast, and the waiter was very professional, despite being extremely busy. The interior of the restaurant is bright, well lit, and busy. I wouldn't call this a fun bar, it's definitely more of a family restaurant where you can get a reliable, albeit very expensive, meal. read more

Don't waste your time waiting for a table. I've been in hospitality my whole life including in Big Sky. Never have I had this experience before. Appalling treatment by the Manager who SWORE I was looking at the wrong menu. My order was wrong, She continued to argue with me, convinced I was wrong and made me look like an obnoxious patron in front of guests and staff. I paid 16.95 for an item that was listed online for 9.95, got onions and no guac. A group of 10 of us went to dinner here, two of us were raised in Mexico City. This place is unpretentious, friendly, reasonably priced, and the food was great. Was surprised to find such good Mexican food in Montana. However, it's family owned and I think that's the reason. If you're in big sky and you're hungry you should check this out. read more

Alberto's was a pleasent surprise for some tasty Mexican food. Started with hot crispy tortilla chips and mild and tasty salsa, we don't like spicy and this salsa was perfect. Ordered the guacamole and it was enough for 5 to share. Make sure you get the extra basket of chips since only the first serving of chips and salsa are free you pay after that. Ordered veggie fajitas and there is enough to feed 2-3 people. Very delicious. 5yr old had a bean and cheese burrito and loved it. Husband had the chicken tacos he said very good. In laws split a veggie burrito once again good. To end split a flan and was delicious too. Didn't drink but the prices for Margaritas was equal to those in our home town and beer prices seemed average too. This place is awesome!!! We started out on the wrong foot as the hostess kept saying it was too busy and we should try walking in. When we called back, they actually did have our reservation. It was not a great start but the rest made up for it. The restaurant is not overly big but they have a bar with tvs. Would be a great spot for sports. The actual waiter was amazing and he had the best attitude and poise. He knew the menu and was helpful for one person in our group with allergies. They also have great margaritas, maybe the best I've ever had. Lastly, the food was incredible. Authentic Mexican dishes and everything was served quickly. Most of the table got enchiladas or burritos and everyone loved them. If you are feeling Mexican, margaritas or just want a fun night out, definitely give this place a try! read more

Do not go here. Absolutely rude. Open sign was on and the gentleman at the front was actually I'm the process of seating us and out of no where a female comes and yelled, "No, we are closed". The host was even shocked and was like ok, and she said I said no we are closed, sorry folks were closed. It was 8pm and I understand places close at 9 here but to be that rude when the open sign was actually on. Rudest restaurant I have ever been to. They told us 2 hour wait so I ordered 5 mezcal margaritas with Casamigos mezcal and they sat us at a table and I asked for the another round of the same drinks and the waitress said Casimigos was a tequila company and did not make mezcal even though we just drank it from their bar. I continued to tell her they do and that we just drank it at her bar and she continued to tell me they did not make a a mezcal haha. read more
