I was in town for my daughter's wedding. We forgot to order a bouquet ahead of time. I went into Albertsons to talk to the florist. I was greeted by Shelby. It was a Friday afternoon and she was getting ready to go home. She was so kind to help me before she left for the day. I showed her what I wanted for my daughter's bouquet and she said that would be no problem. The next morning Shelby put together a beautiful bouquet and boutonniere for my son-in-law. She wasn't there when I came to pick it up. I really wanted to thank her for doing a great job. I hope the florist department and front end management know what a great employee she is. Tracy, the manager of the self checkout for the day I was there is condescending and rude. An item rang up incorrectly and I called for help, she then proceeded to force me (by standing there staring at me after she told me what to push) to push the buttons to do her job, all the whole speaking to me like I'm a 3 year old who did something wrong. I would understand her trying to teach me as a customer how to remove an item, but not when she has to scan her managers card anyway to override it. Just do your job, and do it with a smile. There is no need to speak that way to a customer who shops there daily. Every other staff member I have encountered that works there over the last year has been helpful, polite, and most even go out of their way to help! This is a good location to go to for your groceries. I always appreciate the large selection and the friendly staff. The only thing that bothers me sometimes is the inadequate amount of people that are working the registers they will have two to three registers opened and lines snaking down the aisles. It's not always like that but when it happens it needs to be dealt with in a more efficient way. Or, you end up using the self check out and those machines are so difficult sometimes. They will freeze up often. How about removing those and put some actual people on registers. Besides that, it's a good store to shop at. read more

Truly the worst service experience... always. The baggers are untrained and bag in the worst way possible maybe because they are talking continuously to the cashier which is distracting and unprofessional. Employees don't step aside to let a customer pass by, the entire employee culture appears to be "anti-customer". When stocking in the aisles employees can be found huddled talking never moving for customers, leaves me wondering what type of management exists that isn't supervising and leading a team in a positive direction. I've shopped at Albertson's for a while. The customer service is awesome. Few of my friends Bailee Heather, Amy Kansas, and they are all hard worker sweet ladies really gets work done and are awesome. I became friends with a lot of the workers. They are nice. She is good at her job working in the front of the store or working on the floor, restocking and facing isles and the manager Kansas is a sweet and awesome hard-working lady. Did not know that your cart would lock when you parked over by CVS. Had to carry 4 bags and a box of chips to the car without a cart.

We arrived at Albertsons to pick up some last minute grocery items at 2:45pm, the listed hours were open until 3pm. When we arrived the doors were closed and we were told by Candace that they closed at 2:40pm to accommodate their closing hours. Their posted hours were different and there was a line out the door of other customers who also thought that they closed at 3pm because that was the posted time. If you are going to close early that is fine but post the actual time you are going to close early. read more

I am surprised at the low ratings as I have been going here since Aug 2016 and everyone has been very accommodating, thoughtful, and pleasant. It was even more impressive during horrible Covid when everything and everyone was stressed over something out of our control. If lines are long and empty cashier booths, it's because there is a shortage of people working there and in almost every other place. I've shopped right before a big holiday without realizing it's a holiday soon, so can't blame the store for my not paying attention. I have met some very thoughtful and fun people on line. Oh my goodness, I have never had such a frustrating grocery shopping experience. I came on a Friday around 1p while visiting Paso Robles and oh my goodness, the store was an absolute ZOO!! The aisles are narrow so it is real tough to get carts side by side and when there are multiple carts in every single aisle, this created some problems. When it came time to check out, I waited 40 minutes in line. Yes, you guys, 40 minutes with a cart full of food, including ice cream! Eeeeeek!!! I was really hoping to meet back up with friends after dropping groceries at our Airbnb but it honestly wasn't worth it by the time that I got home. What should have usually taken me 45 minutes was about 2 hours. Needless to say, I popped a bottle of wine when I got back to the house because sheesh, that was stressful!! Not sure if it was a Friday thing but wowza, I would go out of my way to go to a different store next time. The 2nd star was because I did find everything that I came for, so that was a plus! read more

The store is over crowded with not enough check out stands and long lines. I have waited in extremely long lines and still have had to use self check out. In addition there were not employees available to help with self check out. Today it was so bad that grocery carts were not available. When I order from the service counter DON'T take a package from the wall and rewrap it with service counter paper.. I am not stupid. If I order sirloin don't send me shrimp.. If I say NO substitutions DON'T substitute. I don't care if you refund just get it right. Won't be using this service anymore.. If I order a hamburger don't serve me a hot dog.. I ordered 2 of the "Celebration" limited edition 12 packs of Trulys with the Rose' flavor in it online to pick up at the store. We waited for awhile before someone came out to our vehicle. It wasn't what I ordered. The employee "Lily" took it back into the store and I received a text showing I picked up my order. I went in to find her holding both 12 packs in her hands still and asked why the text didn't show returned. Her response was" I have never been a customer and returned something". All I wanted was proof that I did not receive this order. I spoke with someone at the self check out cashier and she stated the manager of "that side" left at 2:00pm and just to wait to see if the return shows up in my bank account. I asked for another manager and a very nice gentleman came out who was very helpful and professional. He called over the Liquor department manager "Linda" who was the rudest, unprofessional, and racist woman ever. A typical "Karen"! She looked at me in disgust when I said the one that she pulled out was not what I ordered and she threw the box down and said "fine" in front of the store manager and walked away...No respect and because he and I are both Hispanic she acted as if we were beneath her and didn't deserve her time or attention. He reimbursed me what I paid online and I left the store thinking that "Linda" should not work with the public and that her picture should be in the dictionary next to the word bigot! read more

It's sad that almost every time I order I am shorted half of what I order because this store apparently does a terrible job keeping things in stock. The website is horrible for ordering from, but about the only option I have. Albertsons really doesn't seem to care about the delivery orders and puts us to the very last of the line. My question to Albertsons is - how to I make meals when I'm missing half of the ingredients and can't go to the store for myself? Make extra orders and keep hoping that you won't leave me with a fraction of what I ordered? This Albertsons does not enforce a mask policy. I went there today and was shocked how many customers were not wearing masks. When I spoke to the management they said they advise people to wear it but they don't enforce it. I thought it was a law in California that you had to wear a mask indoors. Obviously Albertson's is not too concerned about their customers well-being. I read the response from Albertsons . This is 100 percent not true. I was in the store today and there were many people not wearing masks. I spoke to two managers and received the same response. Although they recommend it they can't enforce it. The store was well laid out, clean, stocked and had a great variety of grocery options. The Organic offerings could be better. Checkers and Deli were very helpful. However, the lack of baggers - at all - created a bottleneck and I witnessed an employee collecting carts with a horrible and rude attitude. (Exasperating, sighing and eye rolling at another customer adding a cart to the return area.) Collecting carts may not be awesome, but I'm sure someone else would appreciate the job. going to the grocery store is just about the only place i go out of necessity. When i do happen to have some time off I try to hang out at the in-store Starbucks with a coffee and some recently accuired bag of spicy chicken wings. Every time, i am forced to wipe down my own table and chair. today specificly they were kind enough to have a spay bottle of what looking like window cleaner hanging from the chair at the nearby messy table from were I wanted to sit. the table next to the one I cleaned was messy with a few personal items on it, as I was walking back from getting a couple more napkens a group of Albertson employee's showed up, checking out my tablet and other items of mine. I had to stand next to one of them for a second before she moved out of the way so I can sit down. Shortly after sitting down two or three more people showed up. They all had albertsons clothing on and it was clear that the worked for Albersons. I had to listen to them cussing and talking about being hommies and complaint and stories about other guests they thought were funny. Made me wonder what they were going to gossup about me. I tried to just let it go but I just can't get over how there was little to no concern for the image Albersons was giving. Maybe this is an issue for Startbucks but I still think that managment is really not doing a good job while allowing there employees to loiter around were the paying customers can see and hear them and there drama. I really did not want to say anything to the tho ladys and the man that lingered longer then the others. I then spoke up and asked if Albertsons had a break room for there employees, They looked at my like I was a nosy old man and one of them said, "This is our break room!" oh said, Really and she said, "Yes". The man standing next to the two ladies left at that time. Shortly after another employee showed up on one of the handycaped scooters. Shortly afer that person road away the two ladys got up leaving there mess on the table that included trash and other items and walked away. So it apears that that space is for the employees. I just wanted to say thank to Kenzy last night. After having issues with my "pick up and go order", he helped find the items that were deleted from my order. They were on the shelf and we quickly got them and checked out with a checker. Although I still don't know why items were deleted from my order, Kenzy tried to help and did what he could to fix the situation. There's a psycho on the loose and the really bad news is that he works there! I'm a senior citizen who has limited arm reach so it was an effort for me to reach the glass bottles of eggnog on the top shelf of the cold case. When I pulled the bottle down, I found the expiration date was blurred, illegible. So, I set that bottle INSIDE the same cold case but on an empty shelf at waist level. I strained to reach a different bottle from the top shelf and found its expiration date was visible and acceptable. I put that new bottle in my cart. I did NOT put the blurred bottle back up on the top shelf but left it inside the cold case. I walked away to continue shopping and got about half an aisle away when I heard him. "Ma'am. Is there something wrong with that bottle of eggnog that you just left on the shelf?" Me: No, the expiration date was blurred so I got a different bottle with a clear date. Psycho: Well, you just left it on the shelf. Is there something wrong with it. Is it damaged? You just left it there. Me: No, the date is blurred so I got a different bottle. [Now I've figured out that he doesn't want to know if it's damaged; he just wants to scold me for not restocking his shelf for him.] Psycho boy gave me the stink eye as if I was a reprobate who had disrupted his store. I caught on that he was mad at me for not putting the bottle back up on the top shelf after choosing a different bottle. An anal retentive psycho goes out of his way inside the grocery store to seek me out and take me on for his personal problem. I did nothing to deserve any contact with him. I'm calling the district office tomorrow. I've been a Safeway customer since 1987, and customer service will hear from me about this psycho's inappropriate behavior toward me. read more

This is my go to grocery store in Paso. They have a decent organic produce selection that keeps me from driving all the way down to Whole Paycheck or Lassen's I find it very clean and well organized, other than my grip with every grocery store. I realize that they need to turn a profit. I realize that means they have to put things in multiple places so that like-minded shoppers have to walk past stuff they normally would not buy and say, hey do I need some organic milled mouse bones...."I think I do". Given that protected last sentence is true does not mean I have to like it. They have an amazing beer and wine selection, I am sure the booze is just as well stocked but since that is not my thing I don't spend time on that isle. Okay back to organics. Since I get some attention here I am inclined to offer some education. GMO is the big devil right now. The Non-GMO project is getting a lot of undeserved attention. Please know that Non-GMO project does not mean Non-Pesticide. The only way to know that your product is Non-GMO and Non-Pesticide is to buy USDA Organic. Why? GMO is a modified food that (most) had pesticide "baked" it. Now Non-GMO project is sneaky. They take regular (let's say corn) and then bath it in pesticide. It is still not GMO, but it is not organic either. Since GMO has pesticide baked into it so automatically cannot be called organic. Save yourself time. Ignore the NON-GMO project and buy USDA organic and you get both. Back to Albertsons. Love it. Nice people. All of them know where everything is. There is one young blond girl that runs around for carts and such that has, I am not sure if it is an attitude or she is aloof, but she is about one bubble away from meeting with her manager. Oh more. I have self-check out. They have one or two checkers and encourage you to use self -check out. Please do not do this. Albertson's in Paso Robles recently caved to one female customer that refused to wear a mask inside the store. She caused a big scene and so Albertson's decided to discontinue their mandatory mask policy. Wearing a mask in public protects staff, customers and oneself. I may look healthy but I have a weak immune system so I was grateful for Albertson's policy. After battling stage 4 cancer, I will take my business to those that protect their customers and uphold their good policies that allow for safe shopping. Albertson's- please do not cater to the moronic nature of a few town crazies. If they can't respect your policies, they should be banned from your store. Until you mandate masks, I will take my business to the other stores. read more

I placed a drive and go order early afternoon on Monday and 8 hours later was incomplete. It got delayed and I asked in person all I got was a sorry and no explanation of the process. I called the next morning and one of the managers barred me from talking to the GM John and argued with me over the phone then hung up on me. I finally was able to contact John and he acted like he cared and took my information down and said he would follow up with me on the issue. I got no call back from him I called again the next day to talk to the manager of the drive and go, Suzanne, and she also just argued with me over the phone and gave me no resolve to my problem. She did give me a number for customer service however they don't answer the phone either. She ended up hanging up on me when I told her how rude her staff were to me and how they were lying about their shift times. The managers have no people skills and the customer service is nonexistent. If you don't mind shopping somewhere that won't resolve your problems or have a care in the world about services not being met then this place is for you! Now I have zero groceries and zero time in my schedule to get them because I thought this would be a great resource and my first time using it. I don't know what it is but I feel that I'm not a big Albertsons' fan anymore. Everytime I come here I can never find what I need easily, or at all, and there is always a long line at the checkout. The aisles are clean and the produce is fresh and plentiful but I think the brands I shop for now more and more are not here. This store needs better management. I realize these are unprecedented times with the Corona virus scare but that doesn't mean all customer service should be thrown out the window.   I am extremely disappointed in their lack of communication regarding online ordering and pickup. I made my order last Saturday and chose the earliest delivery day which was today (Tuesday). In the meantime I did no shopping. When I went to pick up my order I was notified that ALL online orders had been cancelled. I was not notified of this. In fact, I checked the website and my email before going for my pick up and there was no notice. The website does mention that it might not be able to fulfill all items on the order but I find it hard to believe the store is out of everything on my order. No dish washing liquid? No feminine products? When I expressed my unhappiness to the employee who picked up the phone I was told that I could "come in and shop". The whole point was not having to come in. What a contradiction! I thought there was nothing on the shelves. What would there be to come in and shop for? But really the worst part was them not trying to fulfill even part of my order nor, when they decided they weren't going to try to fill any of my order did they make an effort to contact me. On top of that they show my order as closed rather than leaving it in the queue for when/should they be able to start filling online orders. read more

The lines at this store are ridiculous. I went today at 2pm (on a Friday) and the lines were 5-6 carts deep at every checkout. Today was the 3rd time since I moved here in July that I have just walked out and decided to get food elsewhere. It amazes me that Paso only has one real grocery store.... The management at this store needs to keep a full checkout staff on hand at ALL times but, instead of doing that, they have 3-4 checkers when the lines are 8 carts deep. To top it off--as others have mentioned--the checkers would rather waste time chatting up the customers than moving the lines along. Extremely disappointed in how this alleged Medicare Part B provider for Diabetes Testing Supplies is refusing to submit claims to Medicare Part B for my diabetes testing supplies. When I try to explain to the pharmacist that Medicare Part B is my primary provider for diabetes testing supplies and that my private health insurance is my secondary provider for my diabetes testing supplies, the pharmacist at this store calls me a liar. When I first brought my Rx for diabetes testing supplies to this alleged Medicare Part B provider, the pharmacist promised that their submission of claims to Medicare B for my diabetes testing supplies would not be a problem. Does Albertson's-SavOn Inc, get a power-charge out of abusing senior citizens on Medicare?
