Not happy with Albertsons response to this crisis. They said they were providing hours for seniors and at-risk people to shop. However, they do nothing to enforce this. It puts those folks at further risk. I arrived at 7 a.m. on a Thursday - supposed to be dedicated time. No one is cleaning carts. Everything was picked over. And, there were many people in there who were not seniors. Maybe they were high-risk. I don't know, but no one was at the entryways checking. These seniors could die! Do they not understand that? Why have these hours if you're not going to protect and provide for those patrons? read more

Generally more expensive than Food 4 Less, but when items go on sale, they are usually the lowest price of any grocery store. On Mondays, they have a good dinner deal: a whole roasted chicken, with potato salad and bread rolls for $7.99. They sometimes throw in a large soda, too. Ok so I have been coming here for quite some time and I am finally getting to my review as I have recently been amazed and really pleased with the consistency in this store. The Great: They have ALL of my vices. Super Fresh baked goods! I mean SUPER FRESH!! Chocolate chip cookies, pastries, donuts...BREAD! The list goes on. The staff is always friendly. They have a promotion going where french bread is hot or its free before 7 PM! In reality, I would much rather pay for the hot bread! My latest discovery are the spicy chicken wings at the deli and prepared foods counter. FANTASTIC!!! They have a great selection of local brews as well as wines and other beers. The store is always clean, well organized and fully stocked. Its my go to spot whenever I need a few things. The Meh, not so great: Tellers, Tellers, Tellers!!!! I have never been here and NOT been in a line 4-8 people deep. They have a ton of registers but only open one or two at a time. Its weird because they put out fresh rotisserie chicken and breads right when people get of work but they are always backed up. They know but don't fix it. My only other gripe is a very limited ethnic food selection. Not that there aren't enough places to pick up some of these ingredients but it would be nice to make one stop. Over all, a great Albertsons complete with 2 redbox locations and a Starbucks! Avoid the morning and evening High school drop off and pick up and you will love this place. read more

Albertsons bakery did a fantastic job! Ashley was the baker who helped us, she very sweet, bubbly, patient, and knew exactly what we wanted. Also very affordable price of $20!! My daughter wanted a white cake with vanilla buttercream and a beach themed caked. We added our own Little Mermaid figurines. We will be forever using Albertsons bakery for every birthday! read more

This is our friendly neighborhood Albertsons! Pretty typical selection of foods compared to other grocery stores. My husband adores the gluten free section. They're doing the monopoly game right now like some other stores, which is always fun. They did a CuisineArt collecting game over summer where you could save up coupons and get knives, silverware, etc. The employees here are always very friendly and helpful. I had an extremely poor experience at this store. My husband and I were checking out with Tammy and buying a bottle of wine with our dinner. I presented her with my state ID and she refused to take it because it has been washed and dried and has slight damage. So I proceeded to give her my military ID, to which she called a manager to the stand. She told me that my military ID was not valid to buy alcohol with, when I told her it was a military ID she said, "well I've never seen that one before" in an EXTREMELY rude tone. To which I replied that it is the new form of dependent ID, and she repeated "well I've never seen that one" in an equally as rude tone. She called Nathaniel over and asked him to check them, and then refused to finish our transaction. This was an extremely unprofessional and unpleasant experience. I hope that your stores will train their employees better on what a government issued ID looks like, and protocols for denying an ID. She didn't even attempt to scan the back of it to check if it's valid. I'm very disappointed and won't be returning to this location. read more

Poor customer service in their Starbucks I bought a gift card from them and they did not activate the card I went back to the store 3 times they refused to activate the card so I called corporate office the instructed me to go back to the store and bookkeeper refused to activate the card even when I told her the corporate office told them to I will never go to that store again read more

It's an Albertsons which means, you will confuse it with Vons or Ralphs...even when you are inside actively shopping . All three of these chain grocery stores are essentially the same, you frequent them for your canned goods and flour and other such items that are easily priced lower than Trader Joe's or Henry's. I don't buy much here, just tiny oddities: a jar or two of jalapeños, Hawaiian bread, tonic water, patio furniture, Tango & Cash DVD... Mike A. is right, there are a lot of high school kids hanging around here and not the "Next leaders of our country" kids either, more like shiftless"Lowering my property value" kids. I can't wait till these little terrorists have to pick up trash in the Albertsons parking lot as penance for the DUI they are sure to get in three or four more years. If you've been to 1 Albertson's, you've been to them all. This location is the closest grocery store to my friend's house, and when we needed more beer, we headed there. The store is located in a large center and there is plenty of parking. The inside is laid out like just about every other location. The liqour section was immediately to the right once we entered the store, so it was nice not having to wander around. This saved precious drinking time. :) The cashier was friendly, they had a decent selection of local brews and the prices were to be expected - high. But it was convenient and we were in and out within 5 minutes. A success, in my opinion! read more

Albertsons is more expensive than other surrounding grocery stores but because this location is so close, I often find myself running in here for a few last minute items. I enjoyed the carne asada I purchased on 4/14/15 from the meat department. Too bad my girlfriend and I are vomiting and other nasty things this morning starting at 6am. I didn't want to go there but she specifically wanted to go to Albertsons vs our usual, and closer, Ralphs. I grew up working in Meat Departments (old Boneys in Vista at Hubbard's Meats and in UTC area at Harvest Ranch) and I'll tell you one thing fellow yelpers DO NOT PURCHASE MEAT FROM THIS STORE. POOR QUALITY AND POORLY ATTENDED TO. My girlfriend and I are both in the foodservice indusrty at GM level. We cook properly, we clean properly. Now we are both balled up in bed using up a sick day. This place is the worst. Especially the meat dept. the Meat dept manager is lazy and rude. If you ask him for anything it's such an imposition and he always says "we're out" before even looking. He talks to the other meat dept employees ( who are always pretty nice) like they're dirt. I don't think much of a store manager that is aware of this ( and he is) and does nothing about it. While at the butcher shop today was about as disrespected as I've ever been in a business. I had just left the gym and had nothing much to do so was not remotely in a hurry. Nodody was at the counter so I just waited till a guy came and started helping me he then called over another guy named Sam that seemed pissed that he had to help me. I could tell the guy was not having a good day so I tried to be nice and I said you doing ok man. Guy loudly said what. I repeated you doing ok? He said nothing just looked at me like I wasn't worth a response. I said did you hear me? He said yeah, with the same attitude and then started wrapping meat again. I went off on him and left will not ever be back to this location. obviously they allow their employees to be disrespectful to customers. My brothers first job was as a butcher at a grocery store and he got me my first job there bagging groceries back when I was 15 so I have a lot of respect for the ppl there or any working men or women but I'll be damned if I let someone treat me like crap as a buying customer. read more

The products offered are your standard Albertsons faire but the reason I come back to this location over and over? The customer service is unparalleled. Every single employee is always friendly, helpful, and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Given that I too work in customer service I know exactly how exhausting it can be to keep a smile on your face for 8+ hours a day. I go to Albertsons because I work close, the guys that work in the Deli have been nice but that's where it ends. Each self checkout employee has a bad attitude. I get it, the employees you hire aren't paid well but do they have to have a bad attitude every time I go in there? The self checkout employees hate to help you, and make you feel like a complete burden, I'm not one to give attitude but when I constantly bump into rude employees I can only take so much. If your coming North on Melrose, this place looks huge, bright and premier. If your coming South you'll probably pass it right on by and think nothing of it as your distracted by the Pink Prison, yes RBV is sometimes known as the Pink Prison. Then you pull in and there is a strange divider and even more confusing stop light with fading street lights and lines. The sloping parking lot and pillars are not as inviting as you'd expect. Inside it's business as usual. White, bright and more about the bakery than everything else. To me personally Albertsons are less about what's on the shelves since they are pretty much the same everywhere. The large national brands and commercialized everything. It's about the deli, the bakery for me when I come to supermarkets in general. If you don't bake good fresh bread and stock a good amount of meats and Albertsons in general all do this. Also they were or are the last to carry lobster tanks, maybe not this location, but Albertsons in general. read more

This store has the friendliest employees of any store I have ever been in. They get involved with holidays, last Easter they had a huge easter egg hunt, they have a cute coloring table for the kids in front, and you are always greeted by someone. If even look like you need something, you will instantly asked what they can help you with. The store is clean and very welcoming. Yes Albertsons is usually a bit higher then the rest, but for this kind of friendly service, I am willing to pay the price. :) read more

I came here looking for one item but ended up buying more than I wanted. Prices seem to be higher here versus Ralph's and Vons. But they had the one item I really needed. The selection and prices are great here. The meat counter is helpful and the stockers will help you find something if you're having trouble. However, you'll be lucky if there are more than 2 checkers, most days there's one, and all of them are slow and have an entitled attitude. Efficient and friendly is just not in their vocabulary! Sure, there's self checkouts, but if you have beer or alcohol you can't be in the self check out anymore. If I have coupons or a lot of produce (which is a pain to scan on the self-check), I'll opt for the checker and then I leave angry. If it weren't for their checkers I'd give this place a 4, possibly a 5... the checkers are just THAT bad! Hire new people, Albertson's!!! read more

The night staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. The young dark haired manager is amazing. When most people are running to lock the doors 2 minutes before closing, he's running to open them for you, and with a smile. The produce selection is great. This Albertsons has the best staff I've ever encountered at ANY store. All of them are so friendly, helpful, and they remember my boyfriend and I. An employee named Vanessa is our favorite! She deserves employee of the month EVERY month. She always says hi to us and gives us suggestions, and is just helpful in general. On top of it, their store is always clean and the lines move fast. I always find everything I need here at this Albertsons. Store is always neat and clean. Parking can be a hassel, they do have more parking on the front side of the building along Melrose to the right as you are coming into the shopping center off of Melrose. The only thing is if you like to shop early in the morning or around 2ish in the afternoon, avoid this place unless you like high school kids everywhere. Was there the other evening, and as is 99.999% usual, experienced GREAT SERVICE, this time, from Brian, in the service deli. This fellow is such a nice, friendly, professional guy......just makes me want to come back to this store more often. I especially like that he remembers me and how I like things. Gotta give it five stars. I go here for Starbucks and when go I have the absolute privilege to be helped out by Courtney. She is so welcoming, since the first time I came here with my wife and son till this day. Even though this Starbucks does not offer every drink that most Starbucks do, she knows how to make a killer refresher my wife's and also my favorite drink from there. Albertsons is by far the most convenient grocery store for me to go to being located less than a mile from my house. Because of this and their wonderful employees I continued to frequent the place in spite of their extremely high prices. That will now be coming to an end. Taking a giant step back towards the 20th Century the brain trust at Albertsons removed the ability to use Apple/Samsung or any pay apps at their terminals. I should not be surprised because they were one the last retailers in the area to move to chip card readers. I am a retired Identity Theft Detective and know for a fact the chip AND pay apps are safer for the consumer. Albertsons seems clueless to that fact or simply does not care. So....I guess I will drive a bit further to frequent Sprouts, Trader Joe's, Target and Aldi. In the end it won't cost me more than my time because Albertsons prices are 20...30....even 50% higher than the aforementioned retailers. read more
