I just finished my bathroom remodel and felt Pristine Coating really deserved and review as there has been absolutely no issues with the refinishing job at all. Now that I've got a new white bathtub installed, you literally cannot tell the difference other than that the new tub has some traction whereas the refinished tub was a little more slippery. The floor tiles have kept in reasonably good shape as well. There are some normal wear and tear from dropping things and foot traffic (adults only, no kids or pets). Originally I was not going to remodel until at least the warranty was up, and I'm sure the job would have held up just fine for another 1.5 years, but due to other circumstances I've pushed up the remodel timeline. We had a bath tub refinished by Miracle method. They cleaned the tub, but did not remove the…read moreplumbers putty around the drain. When the job was complete, I was able to wipe off the new coating as easily as removing playdoh. They removed the overflow drain cover during the prep / etching process. Then put it back on and masked it off during the glazing process, so the area behind the overflow was not glazed. When I went to put my new overflow cover on, I found they just glued the old one one. When I removed it, it took the brand new glazing finish off with it. The bolt was broken that holds this cover on, they just glued the bolt head on to mask the problem. This bolt also holds the drain pipe to the tub, without it, water will leak behind the tub, cause mold and possible flooding to the downstairs neighbor. Update, about a week later. I extracted the broken bolt from the drain pipe using a little PB Blaster, heat and working back and forth. MM sent a more experienced tech to re-do the previous job. Looks fine now. Considering the mistakes that were made, and the cover up to hide the broken bolt, I'm not changing my review rating. The first tech clearly had no common sense, not what I would expect from a $1k paint job.

It was $900 for the bathtub ($800 after a cash discount). I also got a quote for refinishing the sink vanities as well. Those were $450 each. But I opted to only do the bathtub. For the refinishing the bathroom needed to be clear of objects. I saw on Yelp someone else paid another refinishing company $3300 for a bathtub and two vanities so I know Master Bath Refinishing was a very competitive rate. I checked other companies and they didn't seem to offer refinishing in black. Master Bath was able to offer a gloss solid black. For the process people and pets need to vacate the housing during and a couple hours after. My bathtub was especially bad since it was refinished before/had a bad paint job they needed to remove. They gave me an arrival window of 8-10am. The two technicians were careful to lay down plastic wrap for a pathway to protect my home from dirt. They arrived around 10am and were finished around 4pm. Cecilia sent me a useful sheet about care along with the disclosure. What stands out is their customer service. For the refinishing it comes with a 5 year warranty! And yes they do honor it. I noticed a couple hours after the techs left that the glove they used to cover the tub spout had leaked so there was an imperfection by the drain. I emailed Cecilia and she offered a touch up appointment the next week! It's been several weeks of daily use and the bathtub still looks fantastic! No chipping or peeling. I'm very pleased with how my bathroom looks now!

I did invite Noe to come back to redo it, and it still did not meet the professional standard I paid for. I would have appreciated more thorough communication from the start to make sure I was getting what I needed. To be honest, this was not the cheapest quote I got but paid more because of the great reviews. The main thing between me and someone that has very little experience is that I'm good at knowing which companies go above and beyond versus ones that simply "clock it in". I can unequivocally say that Albini goes above and beyond - their photo gallery speaks for itself. I'm also one happy customer. They did a fantastic job on my floor and stairwell. They installed Red Oak on my floor and stair tread. They communicated to me what what has to be done, and to do it properly especially the stairs which has to be in building code. They're very careful and minimized dust when sanding by taping doors and using big vacuum cleaner. And their quote is very reasonable. A last minute decision to finish the floors and we couldn't have been happier. They were even able to remove an old 3X3 foot heater floor vent and match the floor well enough that you didn't notice unless you were looking for it. Flash forward 4 years and we asked them to come back and refinish the only room in the house where there was a rug. After my wife and I removed the rug and the 1950s felt backed linoleum and mastic, Nviro came and restored the floor and it looks as good as new! The original floor wore out and we opted to replace it using Flooring Alternatives once again. We chose a 12x12 solid cork floor. The replacement process has ended up with a poor quality installation, not worthy of the price. --There are uneven tile edges in numerous places that are noticeable when your shoe or foot catches. These raised edges will break off at some point. --There are gaps at the edges by the cabinets. --There are numerous places where 4 tiles meet and are off center. Mari's installer Fito returned to inspect the floor at our request and reported the problems to Mari. Mari came out to look for herself and was unable to figure out what or why. She promised to contact the manufacturer of the floor and adhesive. She has not responded in months. I've sent emails, texts and left voice messages. I will be filing a small claims suit shortly because I have no alternative so long as she is unwilling to respond. I think Mari was nearing retirement and working from her home when we hired her this year and may be out of business but her website is still up. I can post a dozen pictures if people are interested. Mari has them and knows very well the floor install is substandard.

I did a lot of research and found that Marmoleum (Forbo's linoleum brand) is eco-friendly, made with non-toxic materials and also feels wonderful beneath bare feet. We decided on White Chocolate which has flecks of real cocoa hulls embedded in the material. It is a light-coloured shade to keep the kitchen looking bright and clean. Some people might choose a floor that hides the dirt, but with this colour floor you can't get away with that. It really helps keep me on my toes for keeping the floor clean. Fito did an excellent job with demo and installation of our sheet marmoleum flooring. The underlayment has to be perfectly smooth and clean. Any dirt or bumps will eventually translate to the marmoleum. It was an all day job for him, but at the end of the day we felt very good about the install. It looks amazing with our new cabinets and after having lived with it for almost a year, there have had no issues with sweeping, mopping or cleaning. Despite the challenges with Covid, Mari and Keegan were great in communicating with us. Everything was timely and we did not experience any significant delays with shipping or installation. Much praise for everyone on the team!

We had old hardwood floors that needed to be rescued and refinished. Some rooms had stains on the…read morehardwood floor but Number One Hardwood came in and after sanding and staining, it looks great! We also had old vinyl flooring in the kitchen and family room that needed to be upgraded. They took out the old vinyl and put in the new LVP and it matched the refinished hardwood floors. They did a superb job and I was lucky they could fit me in their schedule quickly. Highly recommend them.

I will start off by saying that this review is not about the work they did, because they did no…read morework. I called them out to give an estimate to redo the hardwood floors and also add some flooring to a house that my wife and I just purchased. The guy, who's name I cannot remember, showed up almost seeming as if he did want to be there. I spoke to him when he arrived and he barely spoke back, and refused to even look me in the face as if he did not want to be there. I hate to say this but this is what I thought, as I have dealt with this nonsense before, "what's wrong a Black man cant own a house." I may be off base with that but that is damn sure how I felt. Although he was extremely unfriendly, he walked through the small house and listened to my requests and made a couple of suggestions. He told me I would receive an estimate the following day. That was about 2 weeks ago--no contact at all. I shouldn't have been surprised at all since he seemed to not want to be there in the first place or be of any service to me.
