Banana Bread Latte and Morning Bun
    Shaelyn H.

I ordered the banana bread latter and a morning bun, both were good! The service was good and they have a cute ambiance.

I've had this place saved as a "want to go" for so long and am kicking myself for waiting this long to try them out. The service is super friendly and they prepare your drinks at a reasonable pace. I had the vanilla bean shakerato & a butter croissant. The croissant was flakey and warm. The drink had a good flavor to it. I would definitely come back and try the other shakeratos.

Really good Almond croissant, had a few bites before I remembered a photo

I stopped by during lunch on a weekday to try to seasonal banana bread latte. By late lunchtime there weren't many pastry options left but they did have an almond croissant which I grabbed. I got the banana bread latte with oat milk, and got my things to go. There were a lot of seats but literally all of them were taken. Service was fine but it was just one person behind the counter taking orders and making everything so I did wait about 5 min which was fine. The banana bread latte had a lot of flavor in the first sip and I enjoyed it, and then kind of lost flavor as I kept drinking it. The almond croissant was realllly delicious though!

The coffee is ok. Not bad but not spectacular. I got a regular iced latte. Love the interior though. Ample seating. Great vibes.

My first stop visiting Philadelphia and I was disappointed to say the least. The girls at the counter were so rude and rolled their eyes at my friend. $6 for the tiniest coffee I've ever seen. I ordered a cappuccino and was given something else. The building itself boasts "Scandinavian design" but they just painted every surface beige and hung no art on the walls. But the worst part overall was the attitude of the baristas. The coffee tasted fine but once again was not what i ordered.

Really cute coffee shop!! Stopped in for some morning coffee and a chocolate croissant and wasn't disappointed. The vibe is really clean and quiet so it's a great spot to go to if you want a nice coffee shop to work from. Will definitely be coming back to spend some of my study days here!

Nice, cozy cafe with a modern, simple interior. Great for working and having a nice drink. I've tried the matcha unsweetened which is good. I also really like the vanilla bean latte or cappuccino extra hot and less sweet. The black bean flecks are a nice touch with the rich vanilla flavor. Drinking water is available and bathrooms are clean. Service is good.

Got a vanilla cold brew 16oz. Literally 8 dollars for the most mediocre coffee, so watered down.

It is a very small shop, so there are only a few tables inside, along with a few outside depending on the weather. Although small, the interior is clean and cozy. A single restroom is available. Parking is on the street. Mild noise level. They have a good amount of drink options, including rotating specials, as well as pastries, bread, and misc items like granola and coffee beans. The drinks are delicious - definitely recommend their matcha. The pastries are huge, flavorful, and filling. Slightly dry but I did go right before closing. They have a nice variety of flavors (both sweet and savory), so most palettes will be satisfied. Prices are definitely fair. If I weren't just a traveler passing through, this would easily become a regular spot for me. It's at least on the "must return to" list! 10/10 recommend.

We wanted to get some "Philly food" and opted for a roast pork and broccoli rabe sandwich with a not so "Philly" staple, a gyro. The roast pork was a little dry, but the flavors were good. It has both indoor and outdoor seatings. The visit occurred on a Saturday morning and the place was packed inside and out. We were seated right away and hot coffee arrived quickly along with the menu. The servers were friendly and food also arrived quickly. I can't believe how much food was on the plate!!! Just with the potatoes and omelette alone was a ginormous portion. It also came with toast of my choice. I got the Spanish omelette without mushrooms. Don't judge me for eating my eggs with ketchup, please! I liked how the eggs tasted but not so much for the potatoes. I found them too greasy. I also wish my basket of jellies came with more marmalade!! Still, the food and the service turnaround time was phenomenal given the volume of diners in the restaurant. If I'm back in the area again, I would love to try out their pancakes and waffles. The ones eaten by other diners looked delicious!

Each morning, I visited this café during my last visit and enjoying a cup of hot chocolate both times. One of the first things I noticed as I walked into the café was the atmosphere. It felt welcoming! My hot chocolate had the smooth richness and was great to start the morning off. There were plenty of tables to sit at in the morning. The style of the café was great with a modern and clean, yet warm enough to make those early morning hours seem somewhat purposeful, and not as rushed as they could be! If you're looking for breakfast options, it is slightly limited at this café. There were some muffins and baked goods available. My experience with El Café in The Hilton Mōttō was very good overall. I enjoyed the hot chocolate. It was rich, smooth and perfect comfort in the morning on the go. The customer service was also great! They were friendly, helpful and welcoming. But is this a destination spot in Philadelphia for coffee? No. I'd still recommend it if someone was specifically staying here; but, also there's genuinely innnncredible coffee shops nearby. So if you're looking for ease/convenience/reliability? Yes, yes, all of that. If you're looking for something special or memorable? I don't know, probably not. And. That's. Okay.
