App is difficult to navigate, too time consuming to order, than spend another 20 minutes editing items that may not be available. Than, there is a unidentified service fee on an $80 order. I've been shopping here since it opened. I get excited still going there. I am a wine club member at several wineries in Temecula but by weekly wine is winking owl, can't beat the price. Aldi is a staple for great cheese, chicken, eggs, half n half, yogurt, water and fun stuff in the frozen bin. Aldi finds are a hit and miss but fun to check out. Bimbo bread, bagels and pistachios are always in my cart. Staff changes but seem to be friendly. Bananas can't be beat, semi green which is how you want to buy them. read more

This Aldi is my second time visited today and I almost blew up at the service checking out. One of the cashiers a woman opened up and the shouted out there's only one line in the middle and and started yelling out directions to all the customers. My wife and I had been waiting on another aisle for at least 3 minutes or for cashier that was only one opened before she did. As we had been Called up she seemed bossy and told us not to bag some of the items we had with the clear bag that's usually provided for veggies etc. For some reason I'd thought she may have been the manager or some supervisor. That's horrible way to directed traffic or line manage. Too bad I didn't see a name tag on her. It's got to be the worst proactive service I've received. The cashier Hannah is so rude! During checkout I asked her if she rang up some items from the person behind me, I told her "they aren't mine." Well, she proceeded to go back and forth with me and told me why did I say they were mine. She even told me that I'm hearing something different when she asks me questions. What??? I purchased a food item which had a on sale tag next to it, but after I paid and looked at the receipt I found out the cashier didn't mark it off, so I told the cashier and he asked a female employee went to check the price, I went along with her and pointed out the sales tag to her and she said the item is not on sale , it was someone put it there! I love Aldi and this new location is no exception. It's clean, well lit, and it has some great items that are hard to find and all your basics and all at very reasonable prices. That being said, this store seems to be laid-out backward from all of the other Aldis. That's what makes going into an Aldi so great, no matter which store you're in, all your favorite products are in the same place and easy to find. The neighborhood is nicer than where my other two local stores are located, but the running all over to find what I need makes me crazy. I was so happy when I found out that Aldi was opening in Walnut. I normally do the grocery shopping but there were times I let my hubby go. One Wednesday, I asked him to go after his work so we can take advantage of the meat sale that is valid only for one day. The chicken tenders were $1.99/lb! Nice store! It's located in a popular Walnut shopping area but I had no problem finding parking. This location is clean and very organized. The produce look fresh and displayed nicely where it is easy to handle and look for those extra nice strawberries. The aisles are wide and clear. Very good prices on cheese and veggies. Very cool keto choices offered but they don't sell any decaf coffee... there is plenty of things to choose from but not everything can be found there. If you are looking for a particular brand, this is not the spot to go to. Looking for the same item you bought a few weeks ago? It might not be there. Thought it is 2020....not 2002? You have to deposit 25c to use a shopping cart and there are no baskets. I decided to use my own grocery bag except when I went to check out there wasn't a place for me to place my bag to put my groceries in so the checkout guy was nice enough to run off to get me a cart..just so he can place the food in there so I can transfer it to my bag later... (I would've been fine holding it but I guess it's a hassle to hold your groceries while trying to pay) Of course when you unloaded your food in your car, there isn't any cart return areas so you have to push the damn thing back all the way to the front of the store... Connect the key / cable to the other carts to take your 25c back (which I didn't have to do because the nice gentlemen grabbed the cart for me earlier) Note to Aldi's management.. I don't even need quarters to refill my 5 gallon water anymore... Just Google Pay with my phone using NFC.. With all the touching customers have to do to get a cart, I was surprised there wasn't any hand sanitizing stations nearby.. I love Aldi's! I was a bit nervous the first time I went there, right after they opened, because I didn't recognize most of the brands and it has a warehouse feel to it. Much to my delight, the quality and taste of almost all of their food is very good - meat, dairy, cheeses, produce, prepared foods, etc. Their pizza dough makes great pizza and breadsticks. There have been only a few items I wouldn't purchase again - for example their black olives are awful. They do have limited selection; just mainly the basics. Aldi's is now my "go to" store, then I go to Stater Bros. (or rarely Vons) to get items they don't carry or don't have in stock. Be sure to check out Aldi's limited finds aisles - great buys! If you see something in that section that you're interested in, be sure to buy it before it goes out of stock. You do have to bag your own groceries, but I actually like that because I can group similar items in specific bags so it speeds up putting things away when I get home. read more

My experience at ALDI went well. I found the items that I needed for reasonable price. Until time to checkout. The problem was the cashier thought that he was being timed on how fast that he could checkout my groceries to the point that he just tossed everything thing that I carefully picked out. I am glad that they opened this store in Walnut, and right before the Coronavirus outbreak. At first, I was not familiar with the 25-cent shopping cart system, but I did not lose my money since I could get it back after returning it. It's very cool since shoppers are responsible to return them and it minimizes employees' workload for us to have low prices. I have also noticed that their products have unfamiliar company names. But after I have tried a few, they are good quality so I don't have any complaints. The place is very nice and clean. Their employees are warm, welcoming, and very helpful. Each time I come to other places there are empty shelves, but here, everyone works so hard to fill up the shelves. I am very grateful that this store exists in this devastating time, and for these employees with golden hearts. I am sure to be coming back!!! read more

Aldi is a store with good prices and efficient cashiers who want to make sure you are getting in and out. It might be inconvenient to put a quarter in the cart but that's only because they want to ensure that people return them instead of leaving them in a parking space because they are too lazy to put it back. Also they give you quarters for the carts, if you need one just ask. Some people just take things to heart and get offended for no reason. I don't want places like Aldi to go away because people only talk about the bad and never the good. I've had a great experience and am glad that I don't have to wait in a line forever because the cashiers are fast at their job and know what they're doing. read more

Sorry to report that I had a very unpleasant visit to your store today! Loving the Raclette Cheese, imported from Switzerland, I found several packages with an expiration date of 2/24/2022 (today's date is 3/21/2022). Checking with the cashier, I was told that I could purchase the cheese for half price. I took 3 more packages. When returning to the cashier, I was advised that I would not be able to purchase the cheese since the selling price had expired. This was definitely Aldi's mistake and I insisted on wanting this cheese. The manager was summoned and gave me the same argument that the cheese was not for sale because of the expired sales date. Therefore, it should not have been on the shelves! Since getting the run-around from manager and cashier, I expected to at least get a discount on the packages with current dates which the manager brought to the cashier. But I was charged the full price of the cheeses at $5.89 a package. It would have been nice to offer the old cheese for free Needless to say that I was very upset and felt my blood pressure climbing! DONT buy soft cheeses here--just don't. I purchased Brie and Camembert from them and made sure to check the expiration date (first week of July). When I got home and tried both of them, it tastes horrible! Usually these cheeses are like butter and so satisfying to eat but this time they tasted like plastic with no obvious deformities that indicated it went bad. It's possible that the wrapping paper was leeching off into the cheese but I can't confirm as I just threw them into the trash. Better safe than sorry with soft cheeses. Employees were friendly and professional. Store itself was clean and orderly. Everything was in stock while I was there and there were a few employees restocking empty items too. Aldi is out to beat 99cents stores. I got eggs 0.79 cents a dozen the max was 3 dozen per person. Cucumber at 0.19 cents each. Similarly most of the veggies were priced under 0.20 cents. The cashier said there was a limit on avocados. I told him there was no sign. I even checked before grabbing the avocados. He made me remove 5 avocados. Then he says, "sorry, I thought there was a sign." Instead of having to go check himself or ask an employe, he made me take out the avocados. Then he says, "well there's a shortage of avocados right now." Its a dumb petty thing to complain about on my part but I literally shop and spend over $100 at this Aldi every week. The kid didn't have to make me take out the avocados. I didn't want to be a Karen, but he acted like he grows the avocados himself. I'll get straight to the point. I don't understand the concept of Aldi supermarket. In my opinion, is a between .99 cent and swap-meet. This is worse then Fresh & Easy which closedown. In the surrounding area there are Vons, StaterBros, Sprouts and Asian supermarkets. I wish Trader Joe's was built instead of Aldi. The supermarket doesn't stock quality items nor name brand. There are some cheap item such as eggs but mostly is pricey for non brands. There are two issues that stands out. The quarter for shopping cart and cashiers are seated at check out. They load your groceries into a cart and point to the counter against the wall to bag yourself. This is the worst supermarket. Still newly opened . Same merchandise as any aldi . I liked that they sell the 6 pack on the go tejava bottles (unsweetened peach or raspberry) for $1 cheaper than food 4 less and others sell them. They of course have all the essentials bread,dairy,cheap eggs & produce . Really good when you have to stretch that grocery budget . Their toilet paper and towels are good quality too as well as name and off brand cleaning products . Overall with all the aldi I've shopped I'm not a big fan of their produce unless I'm using it asap . It was a little busy the day I went because it was a late Sunday morning but not too bad. Aldi isn't for everyone because if you aren't open to off labels or if you're not a fan of the Trader Joe's model /type merchandise you won't like it . They have more mainstream items than a Trader Joe's but gourmet items too like Trader Joe's . My only major complaint is this store is located in the old staples bldg which is on the valley side of the plaza. I went to ALDI today was told by the cashier they are close, I look at the door sign it said close at 8 pm and my phone show 7:50pm, so I told her it only 7:50pm, I continue shopping, now another worker may be supervisor said to me they close little earlier to get everybody out of the store at 8pm. So I said all the super market that I been to they never close 10 min before the closing time, then he has nothing to say, anyway I left as I was leaving the store sit on my car, they let some lady went in because she sitting in a handicap shopping cart, that make me mad and this is not right. I got neighbor coupon and go to the new Aldi. There are very limited variations so I bought some beer to meet the $30-$5 coupon. The cashier scan all the items and let me pay first without the coupon value deducted. She said she can refund me after I pay. However, after the transaction complete, she present to check the receipt and said she cannot give refund because I bought alcohol. She should notice that when she scan the items and let me know the coupon cannot applies in advantage. I'm pretty sure she know I cannot use the coupon if I buy alcohol. Don't want to waste others' time since there are at least 5 people waiting after me and there is only one checkout line available, so I did not return anything and just take it. We're glad that Aldi opened here. It's a good replacement for Fresh and Easy. Unfortunately though on several occasions we noticed that the Aldi people will need more training in handling the fresh produce. They would just throw the fruits and vegetables even right in front of the customers at the cash registers. We just bought a cantaloupe last week and half of it was rotten which appeared to be dropped/bumped. Hope the management will care enough to correct this issue. read more
