My wife was craving some sweets, and this popped right up on a search, it was close to where we were, so easy decision. When you enter, if you take a left you end up in the Candy Shop, and if you take a right you end up at the Ice Cream Shop. We did a quick pass through of the Candy shop, they have quite the selection, and the lady who was working at the time was incredibly friendly. The candy itself seemed to be a bit on the pricy side for what it was. On to the Ice Cream shop! They had quite a decent selection of flavors, and the day happened to be buy 1 get 1 free Pie slice day, so that is what we did. We went for once slice of the Apple Pie, and one Slice of the Peanut Butter Pie, to share. While the price was good for the pies, considering one slice was free, both slices seemed stale, and the apple pie seemed well underbaked. It was very clean inside, and we had the place to ourselves. I love tipping for good service, when I paid, I tipped 20% even through the employee seemed less than thrilled we were there. Not certain what the tip was for as we ended up having to go grab our own desserts, as well as bus our own table.

A Buffalo staple and classic. I love bringing my family here all year long, but you've got to check out the Christmas gift items. Treat your friends, coworkers, neighbors, yourself. Their selection is incredible and the staff is so friendly. I love the homey atmosphere and the seasonal decorations. They have the chocolate shop that dreams are made of, then they ALSO have the adorable retro sundae bar with great seating and a huge menu. The specialty sundaes and desserts are top notch and creative. Take a date! They're open late! Take a box of baklava to go!

Gourmet chocolate, gift ideas galore and helpful staff. This boutique chocolate and candy shop is a great stop off for anyone with a sweet tooth. We were greeted immediately and there was tons to see. We walked through the shop and took it all in, opting for some single order truffles and such to take home. All the truffles were super good with the classic dark chocolate one being a personal favorite. If you're looking for yourself or a gift this is a definite stop to make. They can do custom orders and have fun Bills stuff also. Overall: A+ Fun boutique chocolate spot!

It's a cute chocolate/ice cream shop that smells quite delightful when you walk in. The chocolate & candy is to the left. I took a quick little cruise around this part. We were greeted and offered a sample of fudge while we were exploring. They had many items from homemade licorice & chocolates to bulk gummies. But, I was really here to try the ice cream, which is to the right after you walk in. The ice cream shop is set up with small metal tables for two with metal chairs that have a heart shape on the back of them. Upon entering we were greeted and offered a sample of rice pudding. I found it to be thick and flavorful. There was a decent selection of ice cream flavors and sundaes to choose from. I wanted to try two different flavors, so I had to opt for the double; it came to a little over $7.50... quite pricey for the size of the scoops in my opinion (see photo). Also, the ice cream was not really pushed down into the cone so it was empty... No one wants an empty cone! I chose the pistachio almond and cinnamon flavors. The pistachio almond had nice big pieces of almond in it and a smooth texture, but the pistachio flavor seemed too fake, like that of boxed pudding. The cinnamon was a hot cinnamon and it tasted like hot cinnamon candy with candy pieces throughout. They also had cheesecake in their case that looked good. I don't think I would return for ice cream considering the cost for the portion and there weren't any flavors that were so different I'd just have to come back to try them. All in all a good experience.

A gem of a candy and icecream shoppe. You step into a different time when you walk through the doors. The decor is so nostalgic, the smell of chocolate hits you and it's absolutely beautiful in there.

An absolute for your sweet tooth. There is everything under the sun there. I actually went in for some chocolate covered jellies and came out with more than I planned. ( no surprise there!) I also purchased two Carmel covered apples as an Autumn gift for my daughter. Unfortunately the dining room was closed - idk if it is a seasonal thing, but nonetheless it's worth a trip to stop by. Plenty of parking, easy access and great prices.

A wonderful experience. Stopped in for a slice of homemade pie and a side of ice cream. A really nice place with a fun atmosphere and delicious desserts!

They have some excellent desserts here. But occasionally you get a dud, like the apple pie that was on the shelf today. The inside of the crust was under done, the outside of the crust was overdone, and essentially flavorless. It needed to be cooked at a lower temperature and for a bit longer. Dribbling caramel on the outside of the crust is certainly fine, but it doesn't make up for a flavorless crust. The apple pie was also almost devoid of Apples. Very disappointing. The cherry cordial sundae was excellent, the coffee was excellent and the atmosphere is absolutely charming.

    Inside, lots of seating

How could you not give Alethea's 5 stars! Absolutely quaint and so pretty! Wonderful chocolates, large selection The icecream parlor that is attached offers loads of icecream treats and so delicious Lots of seating inside and outside under a striped awning Very clean, prices are what you would expect for a special trip to the icecream parlor

Absolutely blown away by this chocolate !! Loaded up on chocolate covered marshmallows as well as chocolate covered butter crunch and dark chocolate raisins. All are amazing. Was able to sample some items. Super nice lady who helped us, sorry can't remember her name. Sampled the fudge and ended up buying some . We also went next door to the ice cream shop and had an epic peach parfait . Highly suggest both the chocolate store and the ice cream shop. One suggestion do not come here hungry. Bought one of everything , will be back for sure the next time we are in the area. A++++

The chocolate is smooth, creamy and perfectly dark or perfectly milk - either and both, as they are true to their names! The orange chocolate was "just a bit orange' - it isn't ORANGE chocolate, and we saw right off why this is a fave! The sponge candy - some wrapped in orange chocolate, some in dark and milk chocolate, and some sponge is even peanut butter! We were given generous sized samples, and bought enough for us and as gifts! The prices were all great, and considering the quality - VERY reasonable! The candy shop has truffles, candy by the piece / pound and just so much to choose from. We LOVED the smaller sized pieces, as we wanted to try a good number and we did! ALL have been excellent! Okay, the staff - they too could not be better! One young man said if we had any questions, just ask. He was IN THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY! But I DID ask him, he came out and gave me great info. Not that I want to make chocolates - but I love knowing all that I can and it was just the best place! All of the folks know so much about the company, their products and so much more! They are so friendly and kind. It was an amazing place to visit and shop at! AND, they have videos that show you all about the orange chocolate and the sponge candy! It shows the process, the ingredients, and tells about "secrets" that make Platters Chocolates THE BEST! Below the video screens you can watch the processes they use to make their candies and it too was fun to witness and learn from. Chocolate is just the best, and you can never know too much about chocolate! Platters was the perfect place to get a soft-serve cone as well. They have a good selection, and of course I was looking forward to Orange Chocolate. Nope, my husband chose that and I had S'mores soft-serve. Those cones were huge and absolutely DELICIOUS! Ultra chocolatey, but not "just chocolate"! The orange essence shown in just the right degree and the S'mores was very chocolatey (I was delighted for that!) and had all of the s'mores ingredients shining in it as well. Okay, we did share and I was happy about that too! The factory part of Platters is fun, informative and live for some - video for other parts. The "chocolate shop" where you enjoy the candies and ice creams, is open and inviting. It is busy enough, but enjoyable too. There is just so much to see and try, and so many choices that you just have to go back!

The lady behind the counter was super polite and very helpful with my selections. I typically do my chocolate shopping at one of the competitors stores however I thought I would try Watson's chocolate and my first impression was very high. One of the items I purchased was orange sponge candy and she had a little concern that maybe some of it wasn't up to the high standards that they try to abide by so she asked if you check the box first. She explained that during the summer time sometimes sponge candy doesn't survive the trip for too long so no problem I said she gloved up and checked all of them, found a couple that weren't passing her quality control standards so she replaced them. I took that box and a couple of other selections, paid and left. One of the other items I tried was fudge meltaway which I had never actually had before. Personally my wife and I didn't care for it however that is probably just our personal palate coming into play as I'm quite certain it wasn't prepared improperly or anything. The coconut patties were very good and the orange sponge candy honestly some of it was kind of chewy. The fact that she had some concern over the quality of this and felt the need to check it kind of threw up a little bit of a red flag for me and after getting it home and having some I'd have to say I'm a little disappointed. I'm not by any means a connoisseur of sponge candy or anything however if what she said was true about it staying fresh during the summer months and obviously she had some concern that it may not have been, why wouldn't you just pull all of it off the shelf and make more? I mean I used to manage a restaurant and it's the same idea in my opinion, if you're not happy with the food going out, don't send it. I would rather have purchased just milk chocolate sponge candy and been reassured that they didn't have orange because it failed their quality check. So I took one star off what would have been a five star review for that reason, the other one I took off because I couldn't find the building. If you approach this location from the side that I did, the side that faces a little strip mall with a good sized parking lot, there is no signage of any kind anywhere that says hey this is a store that sells chocolate. It just looks like a house sitting on a separate property off to the side. My GPS said I was there, I'm driving around the parking lot for 5 minutes looking at all of the store fronts trying to find Watson's chocolate, and it doesn't exist. I finally put my GPS on walking directions and found myself approaching like I said what looked like somebody's big old house... And I didn't even feel comfortable doing that until I got about 6 ft from the door where there's a sheet of paper sized sign that says Watson's chocolate and has the hours posted. I mean seriously something that could be seen from the road would have been nice, something that could have been seen from the parking lot would have been even better. Apparently if you approached this from the other direction there's a great big sign so I would have had to have driven past it not realizing it and did a u-turn and then I would have said oh there it is. The lady working inside like I said was very super polite and I suggested that to her and she kind of looked at me and said the owners are aware of it but they haven't done anything about it yet. I'm guessing nobody local has a problem because yeah they probably know where this place is however I live over 3 hours away and didn't have a clue. So yeah I'm kind of mixed as far as my opinion of the actual chocolate, I might go back and try a couple other selections and see how they taste. If I do I will try a different sponge candy, maybe one that sells more often so the stock is rotated more often.
