Ordered a large dr pepper, a bit pricey overall, but nonetheless the food smelled good. The fries were undercooked, and that alone told me everything I needed to know about the quality coming out of that kitchen. Nothing about this meal was enjoyable. I've been coming to Alex's Burgers on Olympic for almost two years now, mostly through the drive-thru, and unfortunately the customer service has steadily declined. Regardless of being a family style restaurant on multiple occasions the cashiers have been unhappy, unfriendly, and at times outright rude. On our most recent visit on Wednesday 1/28, the cashier barely said a word, didn't greet us, and hardly acknowledged a simple "thank you," which made for a really awkward experience. We've also had multiple order mistakes over time including one instance where asada fries somehow turned into tacos -- so definitely double-check your order before leaving. Plus if they do make a mistake don't expect much of an apology either. On top of that, the drive-thru wait is always SO long, even when it doesn't look busy. The food itself is okay (I do like the BLT combo), but nothing special. I used to enjoy coming here, but the decline in service and efficiency has been noticeable. I actually really like this place. They are not a super fast in the drive through, but the food is good quality and fresh. I like their delicious tuna, hot grilled chicken, and Turkey club sandwiches better than Panera. The fries are good... and while their $6 iced mocha pretty much tastes like an iced chocolate milk, I like it and keep ordering it. Things are cooked on the spot. Lettuce is crunchy and fresh. Portion sizes are good. I'm never still hungry. The menu is huge and I'm a creature of whimsy so I like variety. Lots to try. It's not cheap. I have such a love/hate relationship with this place. When "The Works" breakfast burrito is the best breakfast burrito I've ever had.... But the cashiers are genuinely some of the rudest I've encountered. It's not just me, my friends and I joke about it alllll the time. I really do enjoy the food and have stuck to UberEats to satisfy my cravings. It's sad because they are newly renovated and it's actually nice and clean inside. I just can't stand dealing with huffing and eye rolls or being cutoff mid sentence. UPDATE I visited this establishment yesterday for breakfast and it was a much better experience than I've ever had.
