My wife and I had a terrible experience with this woman. This weekend we toured a rental property under their management, guided by a nice young lady. We liked the property but had two questions for the owners that we mentioned to the tour guide. We never heard back, so later that evening my wife sent the primary contact for the listing, Alexandra, a text to remind them of our interest in applying but had two questions. Alexandra immediately called us and was extremely rude right from the beginning of the phone interaction. Mind you this was our very first time interacting with her outside of texts via Zillow to schedule time to view the property. My wife puts us on speaker so we can both talk with Alexandra. My first question to her was whether a concession can be made by the property owners to give us access to an un-used portion of the backyard. She rudely interjects demanding an explanation as to why the small plot of yard offered in the listing is insufficient for us. I explained we have a dog and our preference for more backyard space. In a brash tone she asks: 'What size is the dog?' "Medium-sized" I replied. (Sounding annoyed) 'How much does it weigh?' My wife responds: "60-70lbs." Alexandra proceeds to correct us by again rudely interjecting, 'No that's a large dog!'. At that point I had enough of her disrespect. I told her that I didn't appreciate her attitude and to forget about it and then I hung up, never getting a chance to ask our second question. I hope she recorded the phone call because all this can be verified. My mother-in-law overheard the exchange and she also agreed along with my wife that she was very rude, arrogant and condescending as she spoke with us. We were very puzzled as to why she would treat prospective tenants (both interested in and qualified applicants for this approx. $4200/mo property) this horribly. The dog shouldn't have been an issue since the listing stated that this was a dog friendly property and didn't mention any size restrictions. For the record, we are a black couple. Needless to say, after the dehumanizing treatment by Alexandra we decided NOT to apply. Interestingly, this South San Francisco rental property was listed for approx 60 days - a very long time by SF standards. I wonder if the property owners who are paying her to effectively do her job know how she treats interested parties. I got the vibe that at a minimum, she doesn't respect renters/tenants. I'm sure her reply to this review will be just as as harsh/rude, arrogant and insulting as how she spoke to us over the phone. Please see reviews of others who had a similar experience. Alexandria took over managing the property we rent a few years ago. At first she seemed helpful but it is clear that she does not want to do her job. We have been given the run around for over three months now to get the dryer fixed in the garage. there is a rat and mice infestation and a probable termite problem that has not been addressed. without a way to contact the owner myself to let her know what is happening to her property, this is my last resort. We hired Alexandra Moari to property manage our small building but she only lasted a small number of months before we discontinued services. She was not particularly "hands-on" and often asked us to do the things that we were paying her to do (i.e., meet repair people, coordinate services, etc.). The last straw was when she spoke rudely to one of our HOA board members who asked her to perform a very minor task that was within the scope of services that she had agreed to perform. My family was looking for a house to rent since we were growing out of our small apartment. We wanted to move to Alameda for the good school system, but that area is very competitive. We hadn't had any luck leasing a property for a year, so we hired Alexandra and Jessica to help us. They walked us through the application process and put together all the information that would be required by a potential landlord and also documents that would help set our application apart from the rest. Alexandra and Jessica found listings for us, went door to door, contacted leasing agents and set up showings on properties we wanted see. I have been a tenant at a property Alexandra manages for about a month now. While it's still early, I have to say so far I'm very happy with her service and professionalism. Communication is prompt, resolutions to issues are fair and are also prompt, and she uses technology the way you'd expect from a normal person in 2019 (very different from my last property manager). She appears to know the laws and regulations around rentals, and abides by them. As you can maybe tell there are past horror stories underpinning this review, but it really is nice to do business with professionals in an industry where that isn't always the case. Hmm how to begin my experience with Alexandra Moari... I've been renting places since graduating college 7 years ago and I have NEVER in my life experienced such a terrible, irresponsible, unprofessional human/property manager. First things first... why can't this woman ever get anyone's name right??? My roommate's name is "Stefan" and she would spell it "Stephan". My other roommate's name is "Shawn" and she would spell it "Sean". My potential roommate's name was "Camellia" and she would spell it "Camila" A woman we had to contact was named "Laura" and she would call her "Linda"?!?!? For someone who is suppose to have good people skills I'm shocked at this. It shows a real lack of attention to detail. Second of all, repairs took such a long time with this woman. The garage stopped working and we contacted her promptly. She said she would get back to us, but 2 days go by and still no response. We contact her again saying we really need it fixed. Finally she sets up an appointment to measure and order parts. Alexandra emails us saying she will contact when there's an update. Low and behold there is no response from her. I go ahead and call the garage repair company myself and guess what??? Parts are in and they were waiting on the property manager's approval!!! I email alexandra once again and she emails me back saying she will approve it right now and will cc me on the email. Guess what? Once again NO email is sent!!! I call the garage repair company and they said they still haven't heard from her. I contact Alexandra yet again and ask her to please approve this as it's been over a week with no functioning garage!! Finally she approves it and a week and a half later we get a functioning garage... Gee thanks.. Thirdly, this woman is just straight up irresponsible and RUDE. When contacting her about having a new roommate move she charged a $500 vetting fee! Crazy especially since she's the most irresponsible human being ever. We spoke to her to inquire what these fees entail and she commented "well my fees go up every minute I continue talking to you"..... Ummmm okay. Also, after sending her all the required documents she doesn't message us or contact us AT ALL. Weeks and weeks go by and when we contact her again she says "I didn't get all the documents." Well that's straight up untrue. We sent her all the documents and all fees and our last email to her even stated "please let me know if there are any additional documents that are needed from me"... then no response was given so guess what Alexandra this one is on you. According to her Yelp profile she self describes herself as: Creative, Honest, Professional, High Performing Individual, Results Oriented. Let me translate... she is CREATIVE in finding ways to earn more money for herself. Bogus fees, us paying fees and then afterwards telling us she needs MORE fees. She is DIShonest... saying she she didn't get all the required documents when in actuality we did send all of that to her. She is UNprofessonial. I'm laughing at how she even claims to be a professional. How can you call yourself professional if you don't even get people's names right, never follow up when you say you are gonna follow up and then act like it was everyone's else fault when things don't go your way. She is not a high performing individual or results oriented (unless those results include her cheating and blaming other people for her own financial gain). For anyone who is considering hiring her.. I highly recommend you go somewhere else. She is by far the WORST person to have as a property manager. If you are a tenant considering to rent one of the properties she is "managing" (if you can even call it that) please run far away!!! read more

My introduction to the San Francisco rental market was not exactly welcoming or inspiring. I have 10 years experience in property management myself, and 6 months ago found myself on the other side of the table getting ready to move out of state in a very short time frame. I had bad experience after bad experience with the property management company's that were saturating the listings.
