Once you get towards that area on I-15 with the worlds largest thermometer right next to the 127 Hwy entrance you'll see this restaurant which kind of looks like a diner. If you're planning a pit stop to sit down and eat this is one of the better food spots to do so, especially considering all the other options are crummy fast food chains or gas station hot dogs and snacks.

We informed our server, Alex, that it was our first time in, and that we had made the trek all the way from Henderson (a good 35+ miles away) just to check them out. He gave us some great suggestions on the menu - not an easy feat given the interesting and delicious-looking options - and we proceeded to order the following items: 1. Enchiladas with beef brisket: These were incredibly flavorful and slathered with a delicious sauce. Of note, there was a duck confit option too - whaaaattt!!! 2. Bone Marrow Esquites: OMG when I tell you this was the BEST version of Mexican street corn I've had... I'm talking charred corn kernels served with a GIANT side of unctuous bone marrow with these crispy bits on top, cotija cheese, tajin mayo, and lime... this dish packed a major punch and had a definite kick. I couldn't stop noshing on this. 3. Hanger Steak and Fries: The steak was PERFECTLY cooked, so tender and juicy and delicious. The fries were seriously so good too, beautifully crispy and dusted with adobo seasoning. The portion size was incredibly generous. The leftovers we brought home were still fantastic the next day, heated in an air fryer. 4. Queso Fundido: The queso was dotted with chorizo and came bubbling hot on a sizzling cast iron plate. We were so excited to devour this, we nearly burned our mouths by spooning gooey mounds of cheese and slathering it on the tortillas that came with this. The BEST part, however, was the crispy layer of crust that formed at the bottom. Do NOT miss out on this. 5. Horchata: We shared an horchata, which was delicious, refreshing, and not too sweet, which I loved. It made for a nice counter-point to all of the strong flavors. 6. Dessert: We ended our meal with a shared soft serve mounded high, surrounded by gooey apples and plantains. The server seemed annoyed by this small change and even gave an eye roll. There was also a lady hovering around our table asking if we were finished so she could clear our plates. The restaurant was nearly empty, so I didn't understand why there was such a rush to clear the table. My enchiladas were delicious, although I wished they had a little more sauce. The flan, unfortunately, was a no for me. Personally, I wouldn't come back, mainly because the service wasn't there for me. While the food was good, I've had better Mexican food elsewhere. During lunch time, they usually have a steady stream of people so it can take up to 10-15 min to get your order if it's busy, but they're worth the wait! They take tap and card.
