Stopped by Alfred Coffee while in Beverly Hills and had a really nice experience. I ordered the hot White Coconut tea with no milk, and it was really good. Light, smooth, and flavorful without the coconut being overpowering. It was a great choice for something warm that wasn't coffee. One of the things that makes this location especially memorable is that it also has a Bouqs flower shop inside, so you can purchase fresh flowers while you're there. The space is anchored by a beautiful floral tree that really dominates the room and is spectacular to see in person. It gives the entire location a unique, elevated feel. Service was friendly and everything came out quickly. I'd definitely stop by again. Next time, I'll probably grab another tea and try one of the treats from the pastry case. read more

I've visited other Alfred Coffee locations before and they never disappoint. One thing I especially liked about this location is that they also serve Wake & Late breakfast burritos and bagels. Although, I have to admit, the burritos seemed a lot smaller than I remembered but maybe it's just me! We stopped by after a sample sale across street and it seems everyone else had the same idea. I ordered a hot lavender latte, while my cousin went with the iced strawberry matcha. We also shared a cheese breakfast burrito since neither of us was particularly hungry at the time. After taking a few bites, we quickly realized we should have ordered one for each of us haha! All of the seating is covered patio. The space also appears to be shared with a flower shop, which adds to the aesthetic. It has a welcoming vibe to sit back and enjoy your coffee. For parking, we used the paid lot nearby at 123 S. I think their Iced Matcha Latte is standard as it being high quality and the diverse options of syrups/creamers and consistent texture while not being too pricey! Such a cute Alfred's! The decor is so cute and there is a large seating area outside (However I do wish there was seating inside for days with bad weather). I got the Iced Chagacchino and it was great! I was hungry so I also ordered a rip and dip bagel with scallion cream cheese and the cheese was SO good. I also asked if I could get my cream cheese spread instead of dipping it, and usually they don't serve it like that but the worker was so nice and did it for me! I also got an immunity shot since I was under the weather and felt better after (might be a placebo but I'll take it). Will definitely be returning to this location. read more

I'm a regular Alfred customer and had a very disappointing experience at the Robertson & 3rd location today. I ordered my usual Espresso Cloud Cream drinks, but they tasted noticeably bitter and off compared to the same drink I have ordered many times before. I asked for a simple remake, and the first response I received was, "Have you ever had this drink before?" When I explained that I had and that it never tastes this bitter, I was told, "Well, it's always been with two shots." That was not the issue. The issue was that the drinks did not taste right. A supervisor was then called over and refused to remake the drinks. When I asked if she was the manager, she said she was "supervising the store now." I asked for her name, and she refused to provide it, telling me to "just tell them it is the Robertson store." This was a simple service recovery issue that could have been handled quickly and professionally. Instead, it was handled dismissively from start to finish. read more

Although I enjoy the coffee at Alfred I intentionally go out of my way to drive to this location on Robertson because of its amazing staff. I love the lively energy the baristas bring to the workplace and no matter how busy they are I always appreciate their attention to detail and level of consistency. Oof. Possibly the sweetest matchas I've ever had. I do not understand why they don't stir the syrup. I always have a centimeter of clear viscous liquid in the bottom of my cup. I came here pretty early right at opening. The baristas/cashiers were extremely friendly. They patiently went over menu items and calmly and quickly handled a huge rush that came in at 6 am. We ordered a burrito, croissant, bagel, matcha and flat white. A lot of the reviews mentioned the coffee wasn't very sweet but there are options to add syrups. I added one pump of vanilla to mine and the coffee was perfect. The bagel and croissant were great. I would definitely come back. Parking is street parking. At 6 am there was plenty of street parking. The inside of the cafe was beautiful and plenty of seating. Seating is technically outdoors in a gated patio. read more

This is tucked away on Beverly and I walked right by it before circling back. Ordering is at the counter, the staff friendly. It's got cute outdoor seating that reminds me of a french bistro. Just note there is no indoor seating alternative! And it's covered so not much opportunity for sunlight warmth in the winter. It would be nice for some indoor seating. I've been to other Alfred locations but stopped by this one today to pick up an order and unfortunately had a bad experience with some of the staff here. When I first walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly employee (the blonde girl). I was a little early but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask about my order so she got her manager, and it was this girl who was rude, unhelpful, and very dismissive. She rudely told me it wasn't ready and when I asked if I could sit outside and wait, instead of responding verbally, she sort of shrugged and waved her hand in a "I guess so - whatever" kind of way. After waiting, I went back inside to check on the order and the friendly blonde girl got a different boss/manager to assist but when he came out, he didn't acknowledge me at all. He told her how to put the order together and she did - she also thanked me for waiting and was very friendly/sweet overall. However, the management here seems to have zero interest in being friendly/welcoming to customers. TLDR: rude management - there's plenty of other Alfred locations nearby. Not worth coming to this one. read more

Lovely people here and the BOUQs people are florally located within as well! Love their B/W checkerboard decor. I've had (at various times) their "famous" vanilla latte, their lavender espresso latte and the matcha lavender latte - all scrumptious. You can sit here on their Robertson Blvd patio and watch the expensive cars drive by. This is my go-to after donating blood at Cedars (no caffeine prior to my donation!). Thank goodness too that there's a restroom in the back hallway behind BOUQs. Next time, I'll have to try a bagel sandwich - looks delish! read more

Alfred Coffee on Robertson and Burton Way in Beverly Hills is a newish branch of Alfred Coffee. This shop opened over a month ago, but it was my first visit here because I happen to be in the immediate area, and this coffee shop was the closest and familiar to my caffeine palate. Parking may be a challenge with limited street meter spots, but across the street is the city parking structure for a fee. The shop shares iL the real estate space with a flower shop, both share the same entrance as a common easement. Because I'm a regular customer at the North Beverly Drive Alfred's location, I'm familiar with the menu and usually order my favs. However, with the cooler foggy weather unusual for LA, I ordered the seasonal: Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk Latte in a small + a Vegan Blueberry Coffee cake togo. The shop has limited outdoor seating. The staff, all wore face masks, were all nice, helpful and running efficiently despite the long line of customers. The female order taker was patient and nice, the male barista was accommodating and helpful. While I waited about 5 minutes, I walked a few steps to browse the bouquets at 'The Bouqs' flower shop. Looking and smelling fresh bouquets seem to calm me down, as I hate waiting...and with the negative Yelp reviews, I was bracing for the worse. Soon enough, my TOGO order under 'Fendi' was called and ready for p/u. The condiments area, was neat and clean was a good thing. The shop had lots of merchandise marketing it's brand and logo: 'but first coffee,' and other kitchy sayings usually as cup wraps. There's metered parking in the area! Staff was great and service was quick. We came around 3pm on a Friday and they were out of pastries, but still had the pre-made food in the cases. Their iced mocha was the perfect mix of coffee & chocolate! Not too syrupy or anything too - I'd definitely get it again. The outdoor patio is super cute and covered so a great place to relax and work, but their wifi is only 2g so we couldn't get any of our phones or laptops to connect. if you want to come I'd recommend just hotspotting from your own devices. The Alfred Coffee app has an easy ordering system. It's very easy to explore the menu, make modifications and pay. I ordered ahead and my drink was ready within 10 mins. It does get busy, but the staff is very good at managing orders. Online order tip: when you arrive, let them know! Also, their restrooms were really clean. I've noticed other reviews that aren't stellar and I'm wondering if we just happened to catch this place at a slow time or on a better day? It was my first time going to an Alfred's and I ended up at 2 locations in one day for meetings hahaha. I'm not a coffee drinker but I love tea. I tried their black rose tea and let me tell ya, I was very happy! Service was okay. The other location seemed to have much nicer people. At this one, they got the order right. They did their job. They didn't necessarily greet me, they didn't go over and above in customer service but like I said, I got my order. It was all good. For ambience-I also liked the flower mart that was connected, fun things to look at while you wait for your order. It's only outdoor seating which was fine for that day. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't very busy at all so it was easy to find parking and a seat. However, I can imagine that if it was more of a rush hour, it could be a nightmare to ge through there.
