Guys at register, nice. 2 female coffee makers? Sassy, rude.
    Tyler B.

Idk if it's only because I tipped 10% but somehow the 4 people behind my got there drinks first. Sassy when I asked if my drink was being made. I also ordered a cold brew... so there's really no excuse on why it should take 12 minutes to make? Talk about sh1tty. The guy was at the register, nice. 2 baristas seemed like they would rather be anywhere else in the world. Which I get, but let's have some customer service, yea?

Alfred is a solid cafe for casual coffee runs 9 out of 10 times. Not super craft but way better than many other chains. My husband only ever gets the vanilla latte while I rotate between random drinks such as the matcha latte, lavender latte, and espresso cloud which is quite tasty. My only complaint is the twix-wannabe Nowhere Bakery cookie is pretty much always listed and NEVER actually available. Stop teasing me Alfred :(!

Got UberEats since there is a promo of 15% OFF $12+ orders I was impressed I got my order in less than 30 min! However, I definitely think the drinks are overpriced and not worth the price. I ordered a Matcha Cloud Cream ($9 for a 12 oz). There are 2 options for the Cream Base - Organic Dairy OR Plant-Based Coconut. There are plenty of milk substitutions free of charge so I selected oat milk with less ice. I enjoyed how creamy and how the drink wasn't too sweet. However, I had high expectations for the matcha since I read that they use high grade ceremonial matcha but the matcha was very disappointing. I honestly couldn't taste the matcha at all so I'm skeptical whether they really use high quality matcha. Overall, I felt that the drink was overpriced and wasn't worth the price so this was 2/5. The World Famous Iced Vanilla Latte ($8.40 - 12 oz). There is the option for vanilla or sugar-free syrup, milk substitutions , choice of espresso, ice and sugar adjustments free of charge. The coffee was pretty good. It wasn't too bitter or too sweet. However, I don't think it was worth almost $9 so this was 3/5. Overall, I think the drinks were just ok and definitely not worth the price so I won't recommend or return unfortunately.

Came early in the morning so it wasn't too hectic. The barista was helpful with answering my questions and gave some suggestions when it came to getting a coffee. I ended up getting a vanilla latte, the cloud, and 2 chocolate/walnut cookies. They had several pastries to pick from and they all looked good. The drinks and the cookie were good. It was nice to try a new coffee spot. For 4 items it was around $25 dollars. Not too bad.

Got a breakfast burrito and had the "spiciest" sauce they had. It was very vinegary with little spice. I wish I was told this in order to get a different sauce. The staff is helpful but this place is extremely crowded with little room inside. They do have a seating area outside.

I tried the DedCool latte with oat milk (lavender + blueberry + espresso) and I really wanted to like it, but it was honestly not good. For some reason, it had this salty, ginger-like taste. The lavender and blueberry didn't blend well with the espresso, and it didn't even taste much like coffee either. That said, the service was great, and I appreciated that they offered complimentary water and cups on the side for customers, especially during this hot weather.

The service and coffee at Alfred never miss. I'll take it hot or cold. Always hits the spot. I appreciate the friendly greeting whether I'm ordering in or picking up a mobile order.

I've been meaning to try this bougie coffee place for ages. So since I was in Pasadena the other day I made a point to swing by. Parking is a bit difficult sadly. The place was a bit unassuming...I thought it would be bigger I suppose. They have a cute little window sill area for pick up orders. My DedCool inspired latte was PHENOMENAL and so flavorful. The chocolate Babka was also tasty and I saved half for my daughter who also loved it. Sadly I'm moving out of state so I probably won't be able to come back much but DAMN Alfred...you're amazing!!

My bf and I ordered an iced vanilla latte sugar free. We found it expensive for a 12 oz cup at $7 but delicious. It was a little strong for me at first but as the ice melted it actually got a lot better which is why I'm giving it a 4. In all honesty we mostly just came to use the restroom for customers and I've always wanted to try it before given the past hype so it was a good excuse and I'm glad we tried it! I'd be back again if I were in the area and felt like splurging for a drink. Service was quick even with a line on a Saturday morning. Definitely a pick up and go place though as there are few seats.

The store is located in old town Pasadena. We went on an early Sunday morning so free street parking; otherwise they do have parking structures nearby. I tried the blueberry muffin and their famous iced vanilla latte. It tastes good but nothing remarkably unique. The interior was nice. The staff was pleasant. Not alot of indoor seating and fairly small shop.

    Ashley C.

Cute shop with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were friendly, and my total came out to $15. Matcha Cloud - The cream top was fluffy and sweet, while the matcha itself wasn't overly sweet, balancing the cream nicely. Hazelnut Latte - I ordered it with two pumps of hazelnut. The sweetness was just right, with a delicious hazelnut flavor and a strong coffee taste.

    Kristine H.

The world famous vanilla latte was good, but very small for the price. This is definitely a grab-and-go coffee spot; no lounging or designated seating, which makes sense given the size. Service was fast, and with limited coffee options nearby, it did the job for a quick caffeine pick-me up.

I was in the area and decided to come in and grab a coffee. I wanted something cold but while I was looking up at the menu board Christian suggested "The World Famous Vanilla Latte". I normally don't do flavored coffees, I am a coffee purest but this was a great choice. The staff were all very friendly and make you feel welcome. Thanks for the clean restrooms too. Appreciate that they offer that because so many places don't.

The baristas need more training in making espresso coffee. Every time I come here, their coffee taste weaker and mid at best.

Expect to pay $20+ for most of the dishes Ordered the Avocado Benedict ($20.95) and it consisted of 2 egg muffins, topped with a poached egg, avocado, and ham, as well as a garden salad and country fried potatoes. One of the eggs arrived destroyed so it was already runny and the other one was a little overcooked so it wasn't perfectly poached as I was expecting but it wasn't too big of a deal. The ham was a little dry and salty but the avocado was very delicious and fresh. The egg muffin was quite cold and dry so it wasn't too enjoyable. The garden salad was pretty basic and just had some greens, corn, and tomatoes so nothing too special. The potatoes arrived cold, dry and slightly crunchy. It was extremely salty so it was hard to enjoy Overall, I thought the food was a little pricey and underwhelming unfortunately.

When I asked about the prep station and whether gloves or utensils could be changed, she refused to ask the cooks. From what I was told, nearly everything shares the same grill. The only item that might potentially be safe would be eggs cooked in a separate pan, but without changing gloves or utensils, even that would not actually be safe for someone with Celiac disease. I ended up not eating at all. I actually left my party and waited in the car because I wanted to cry. It was embarrassing and honestly heartbreaking to feel like asking questions to protect my health was treated like an inconvenience. I completely understand not every restaurant can accommodate Celiac, but kindness, honesty, and basic understanding go a long way.
