First time here and my iced latte was ok, not sure what it is that coffee shops don't mix the drink together, if the syrup is first, mix the shots with it so it can blend together and then add milk. I personally hate having to mix my drink a bunch of times before it tastes like a latte. The breakfast burrito could have had more flavor but their chipotle sauce was delicious!
Stopped by for a quick coffee run on a Saturday morning. The line was crazy long but the wait time was not terrible. Since the space inside is small, it's an awkward place to be while waiting since you're literally standing right behind someone who's sitting down, attempting to enjoy their coffee. The staff looks stressed out and I can understand why, lack of organization. Now, onto the coffee. I got the World Famous Vanilla Latte and added a cloud cream. It was pretty good. Creamy and just right on sweetness. We also ordered a matcha drink, which I thought was ok. Honestly, we might go back but perhaps once some time has passed and the lines die down a bit or a better ordering system takes place.
Ok I'm not sure why this Alfred has a 3 star review, but I'm here to say I had a great experience. I went yesterday with my sister, and it was my first time here. It was very clean and very modern since it's fairly new. I tried their famous sugar free vanilla iced latte that was sooooo freaking good! They added a tiny bit of foam on top and it made it more delicious. I'm coming back to get another one on my coffee day lol. The service was great for us! No complaints they explained and suggested the best drink to get and healthy ways to get it. Once my order was done I envied another patrons drink with foam on top and the nice barista said I'll put some on yours :) now that's good customer service right there! lol They also have pastries and burritos to choose from. They look really good too ! Will def be back to Alfred happy I tried here! 5/5 for me! -Marshay D.
Excited to see this new Alfred location. Ample seating. Slightly different vibe than other locations. Large menu. Seems like they added mushroom coffee to the menu. I ordered my go to Lavender iced latte. Would return. Hip coffee shop perfect for meeting friends or working. Service was nice.
Trendy coffee shop with plenty of food options, this cafe has the appeal of similar modern coffee concepts. Service was speedy! I'm surprised they can keep up with their volume with their espresso station. The world famous vanilla latte is nice. If you're looking for a vanilla latte, this one will hit all the marks.
Alfred in Porter Ranch is pretty new, and when I found out it was opening I was honestly so excited. Now that it's finally open, it's a super short drive from my house. Even though the Studio City location will probably still be my go-to since I'm always in that area, I really love that they brought Alfred to this side of the Valley. The location is tucked into the plaza near the new hotel by the Kaiser medical offices, and it already feels like it's going to turn into a whole little hub. I heard they're planning to open other spots nearby too, like Sweetgreen and I think Café Landwer, so that whole area is going to be really fun once everything is fully open. I usually order through the app, so by the time I get there my latte is ready, which is honestly so convenient. But the staff has been friendly by observance. And what I love most is the consistency. They keep the same quality and vibe across all locations. No complaints here, my iced latte tastes the same every single time, and that reliability is everything.
I've been a fan of Alfred since their Studio City location opened about 10 years ago, and their vanilla lattes have always been consistently great. Lattes are my go-to drink wherever I go, and while some places miss the mark, Alfred gets it right every time. I went to the grand opening of the Porter Ranch location and was probably around the 90th person in line. Unfortunately, many people were saving spots for others, and the line became disorganized. I ended up missing out on the free tote and coffee, which was disappointing. It would've been helpful if employees were handing out tickets instead of filming content for social media to keep things fair and prevent people from cutting. Since this location just opened, the long lines and app wait times make sense. That's pretty common with new businesses in this area, especially when there's hype. Overall, the drinks were still spot-on and worth the wait. Once the crowds settle, this will be a solid neighborhood go-to. I have visited a few times since opening and haven't had any issues with app orders. It may be that the employees are overwhelmed, but I felt that customer service here was underwhelming.
After seeing so many videos of this place on social media, I was definitely curious to try their coffee. Luckily it's close to where I live, so it was an easy trip. They have a nice big parking lot area so there's plenty of parking available. I was very lucky because I went there on a Thursday around 4:30 pm and there were no lines and plenty of seating both inside and outdoors was available. It's super cute both inside and out. My friend and I decided to sit outside because the weather was lovely and they have a cute outdoor area. I ended up getting their cold cream latte and my friend got a matcha latte. Both were delicious, and service was prompt. Overall, I had a great experience and I'd come back again!
Finally, an Alfred that's somewhat closer still a bit of a drive though. Can we please get one in San Fernando City already? I've been wanting to try this place for the longest, so I was excited we finally got one nearby. I went on a Sunday... big mistake Easter Sunday at that. There's a church right next to it, so it was packed. I tried ordering online first, but the location wasn't showing up, so I just went in. Huge line out the door and it was hot, which made it worse. I even tried ordering online while standing there, but the drink I wanted wasn't popping up (later realized it was sold out), so I ended up waiting in line for nothing... never again. I ordered the Espresso Cloud and the Strawberry Matcha because I needed options and let me tell you, both were so good. The Espresso Cloud was amazing, and the Strawberry Matcha definitely held its own. I'd come back for sure to try more drinks. One thing to note: they don't accept cash... whomp whomp. Service was friendly and they had a good number of staff, but it still took a while which I get, since it's a new spot and super busy
Finally a better location!! I had a way better experience here than the other two I've been to. Much roomier, still weird waiting for your order since there isn't exactly a good place to stand. Other than that, I had a great experience! The line wasn't out the door this time around and I was only behind one other customer. I asked the worker what latte flavors they had and to my surprise, way more than expected? I've asked the other locations and they always gave me the same few and idk if that's just because they didn't want to name them all.. having it on the menu would be nice and more convenient honestly. But I was happy to know they did strawberry lattes here! I ordered a medium iced, way more expensive than I expected, delish but idk about coming often to pay $9.75 every time lol. Drink came out pretty quick, within 10 minutes I'd say. Parking is decent. I stopped in for their grand opening today. This shop is located next to the Hampton Inn. The line was so long that I decided that I couldn't wait for a drink in the heat. I was informed that it was quicker to order online. Prior to leaving I took a quick look around. The inside was super modern and not a place to linger as they have hard metal chairs. Perhaps this is by design. The place aims to get people in and out. I also had a chance to view the menu and noticed that not all Alfred Coffee shops are the same. I noticed that my lox and cream cheese bagel was not on the menu. The offerings at their Beverly Hills location are a lot more extensive. They do have bagels and limited toppings.
I went on opening day and it was busy, of course. I went late enough though where it had died down some and I was able to put in an online order and get it on time. I got the iced mocha and it was delicious. Always smooth to just order via the app and bypass the line to pickup. Store is small but clean, visually nice and there is seating inside and outside. Decent amount of parking but it'll be sketchy once the restaurant next to it opens AND it's a weekday and Kaiser is open.

I went with one of their signature drinks- CLOUD CREAM (Dairy or plant based option) You can get espresso or matcha topped with milk, cream whipped with vanilla, and sea salt I tried both matcha and espresso versions and I enjoyed the espresso version more. The stat of the show is really their vanilla syrup! Really really good. For food they have pastries , bagels, and breakfast burritos from Wake and Late! I'm most excited about the burritos because wake and late is a little ways away from the valley. Nice to be able to get my breakfast burrito fix nearby. I didn't try any food on this visit so can't comment now. The have some seating inside and outside. Shared parking lot with the Hampton Inn but parking doesn't seem like it will be an issue. Service was friendly and everyone there seemed very excited to be there. I'll be back for some caffeine and food soon , updated review to follow.

Before getting coffee and a burrito here I had only gotten Too Good To Go orders from Alfred. I've always been a bit ambivalent about Alfred - they present as a step or 2 above Starbucks and the like, but have been expanding so rapidly it makes you question the quality control issues. Yet, when they first opened this location here, I waited awhile before going here because it was soooo crowded. Plus in this economy if I'm going to buy coffee drinks + food, it better be worth it. I had a salon appointment across the street one afternoon, and was coming back from an early morning estate sale excursion in Thousand Oaks. I hadn't had breakfast/coffee and my appt was at one, and Alfred somehow ended up being the best option. I really wanted to try the Espresso Cola float, but they said they were "out of it." (as of this writing they still are) The cashier suggested the Espresso Cloud Cream latte instead, that it was the most similar to the former. It was good, nice vanilla flavor. Alfred carries breakfast burritos from Wake n late and since I'm never in Pasadena/dtla early enough to go to their brick and mortar locations, decided now was the time to try. It was ok, maybe not heated through enough. Or maybe they are better when made fresh. Regardless, I ended up spending almost $25 for both items with tax and tip, and that didn't seem worth it to me. You can usually tell when a coffee shop has just opened, and this felt like one of those places. The staff were not rude at all, but they seemed inexperienced and not quite ready for the flow of customers. There was little greeting when people walked in, and even with customers waiting, there did not seem to be much urgency to take orders or keep things moving. The coffee itself was decent but nothing particularly memorable. Having tried many coffee shops around the UCLA area, I found those cafés generally offered a better and more refined cup. The croissant looked beautiful on the outside with a nice golden finish, but the filling was much sweeter than I expected. Overall, it's an acceptable stop if you're nearby and need a quick coffee fix, especially if you're not in a hurry. With more training and experience, I can see the service improving over time, but for now the experience feels like a business that is still finding its rhythm. read more
After hearing many bad things about this new Alfred Coffee location, I was very nervous to give it a try. However, I ended up having a lovely experience. All the employees I interacted with were extremely kind & helpful! The space itself was cute & clean. Restroom was spotless & smelled amazing. I ordered the Lavender Matcha with Oatmilk and I'll be dreaming of this matcha for a while! It was delicious! My boyfriend ordered the seasonal POG matcha & he loved it as well. We came here for the grand opening! The line was out the door, but they had my online order option which was very convenient. It did take about 20 minutes for our coffee, but that was no problem since there were tables to sit inside. There's lots of seating in the front but little to no shade outside. They were doing airbrush tattoos, and had discounted drinks for the day. They also had a DJ and the vibes were really good. I liked my drink as well. I got the world, famous vanilla latte with oat milk and a dash of cinnamon, nice and sweet not too overpowering. I'll definitely be back. read more
I stopped by the grand opening of Alfred Coffee today and there was a huge line out the door. Luckily, we ordered ahead on their app, which made the whole experience quick and easy. I had the ham and cheese croissant, and my daughter got their world-famous iced vanilla latte. Both were so good -- fresh and flavorful. The staff was super friendly despite how busy it was, which always makes a difference. There's also plenty of seating both inside and outside, so it didn't feel overwhelming once you got your order. We'll definitely be back, especially now that we know the app is the way to go. read more
Alfred is now open in Porter Ranch! Their Grand Opening was today, Saturday March 21st! For their grand opening, first 100 people got goodies bags! There was about 130 people already by 6:15am. Their menu is extensive, including your traditional coffee to their signature drinks like their vanilla latte and cloud cream drinks. Breakfast burritos and rip and dip bagels with schmears also available. My personal favorite is their Flat White with regular milk. I also like their chagaccino hot. Tables and seats available indoor and outdoor! Staff super friendly, nice and very hard working pushing drinks out. Slowest customer service Ever! These baristas spent more time yapping than attending to the folks in line. The line was literally out the door and four people were working and yet the line wasn't moving. The people who ordered on the app were also waiting over 35 minutes for their drinks. I stopped by the new Alfred location in Porter Ranch! I am so excited to have one near by! I went around 10:30am on a Sunday and it was definitely busy. The parking lot was crowded due to both the recent opening and the Farmer's Market, so just a heads up that parking can be limited on Sundays. Even with the rush, the service was still great! I downloaded their app and received $5 off and I was able to skip the line which was a huge plus! I ordered an iced matcha latte with honey and it was delicious! They have both indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas. The vibes are chill and a good spot to catch up with friends. I can't wait to visit again to try the breakfast burrito! read more

Good matcha lattes with nice-ish staff. I think the only thing keeping from a 5 is how I'm honestly over the sterile environment ambiance that every cafe seems to be leaning into. I miss the days of comfy couches and chairs. If you're just coming in and immediately back out with a drink, solid choice though. read more

Cool, trendy coffee shop and I'm happy they opened a location close to my house. They offer a selection of breakfast burritos, bagels, coffees, with a unique selection of hot and iced lattes. I saw them advertising an awesome-looking peaches and creme matcha latte, but today, I went with a simpler, but very very delicious caramel hot latte. You could tell it was made with love, as each sip was consistently great. I also ordered the plain croissant warmed up and the croissant was very yummy as well- crispy, fluffy on the outside and pillowy and slightly stretchy on the inside. Pretty perfect. The customer service was pretty solid, but they seemed a bit behind on orders and a bunch of customers were just standing around, waiting for the orders to be completed. The vibe of the place is cool, as the spot has minimalistic, contemporary design and the outside patio is simple but nice, with umbrellas blocking that hot Porter Ranch sun in the middle of the day. All in all, great spot and a nice addition to the neighborhood. Will definitely be back for more. read more
It's been a while since they opened this location and every time I pass by I see a long line .... I guess there aren't many coffee shops in the area ? .... This morning my sister and nephew invited us to have coffee and breakfast with them since they live very close to Alfred. So we went. Big line again, but we waited since we had decide to give it a try. Customer service not welcoming at all, unhappy employees at 11 am on a Sunday. The breakfast we tried to have was disappointing. $16 breakfast burrito that looks like a frozen burrito from Restaurant Depot that sells big bags of frozen foods. It was horrible. So small and almost nothing in it and had a bad aftertaste. Anyways don't waste your money on that. The bagel my nephew got was so bad he didn't even finish it. The croissants were good so if you need something to eat go for it. The coffee is good at least. I had cold brew and enjoyed it. Nice and calm relaxing inside. The layout of the coffee shop is beautiful but my table isn't sturdy. The menu isn't convenient to see because it's in an angle of the register. The woman who took my order made small talk and perfect eye contact. I asked her if she would recommend the cookie warmed up or as is and honestly it's fantastic as is. I think I'll return for a hot drink next time. It was pretty empty when I went. Honestly I thought I would like this place but it was not great. I came in to get a matcha latte and the line was really long (which was fine because they just opened) but when I tried the matcha latte I got, it just tasted like sweetened oat milk. I did not even get a hint of matcha flavor which was so odd... For almost $8 a drink, I don't think I will be coming back. read more

Horchata coffee is a blast. The bartenders always greet you when you walk in and are always pleasant. They really are attentive and keep the place pretty clean. It is kind of full at times but that's because the coffee is so good. read more

Not worth it. I gave it a try. Their special vanilla latte. Hot and small. $6.50. I was confused as I didn't see my order. Turned out it was this tiny little cup. I thought it was someone else espresso. Barely tasted any vanilla. $6.50 is a rip off for this. Better save it for a gallon of gas. read more
