Been once to a different location and while at AK thought I'd try again since I'm in the area - I don't think we have one in the Bay. Got the infamous vanilla iced latte and it was pretty good, but not extraordinary. Took home some syrup to make at home. Good location and opposite side of Blue Bottle at the other end of AK.

TL;DR - tried the iced vanilla latte. Decent drink! It tastes exactly like what you'd expect :) Heard a lot about this place and finally was in the area to try it. I heard their vanilla latte is what puts them on the map. We got an iced vanilla latte to try and it was decent. Not bad but I'd probably try something else on their menu next time to explore their other options. It tasted exactly as one would expect from an iced vanilla latte (maybe a little less sweet). Service was very fast. We went earlier in the day when there weren't too many customers so seating was plentiful. It's right along a busy street so I imagine this place can get crowded. Overall, our drink was okay. If you're looking for a vanilla latte then you'll be getting exactly what you paid for lol.

It's a place for a solid cup of coffee. I ordered the hot caramel latte and the iced vanilla latte, and both were decent. Store is located in the busy area of Abbot Kinney, so parking can be a challenge. They also have breakfast items and matcha. Can always count of a good cup of coffee for a chain.

Finally tried the famous Alfred Coffee! One of my fav YouTubers Lindsay Rae said this is her fav matcha place so this has been on my list to try. Totally worth!!! I got the Iced Matcha with oatmilk and housemade syrup. I LOVE housemade syrups and girrrrrl this drink was FIRE! There are lots of treats and goodies around too including Wanderlust Ice cream, La Vain cookies, Erewahan (spelling), pizza place, the possibilities are endless lol. Parking sucks but that's typical for LA lol. Maybe take a Waymo from somewhere hahaha.

Location. Location. Location. Who cares what the coffee tastes like. It's the location. The coffee is good. It tastes like coffee. The pastries are tasty. The service was great, but the main reason for my rating is the peace that comes from a fabulous view of the marina in the morning with a cup of coffee.

after going back and forth I finally decided to try Alfred Coffee. I specifically went to a location with good reviews because unfortunately many locations seem subpar based on reviews. I ordered on the app and got a matcha pumpkin spice latte with 2% milk. the drink came out in about 5 minutes which is pretty good, and the barista who gave me the drink was nice. the drink was also really good and the pumpkin purée at the bottom was made from REAL pumpkin!! inside, the place is pretty cute and has a decent amount of seating. it's colorful and inviting and I would definitely go back.

Had been wanting to visit Alfred's for the longest time and I finally did on Sunday. There wasn't a line when we arrived so we were able to order right away. We all got different drinks. I ordered a small (16oz) signature vanilla latte - Vanilla bean syrup layered with milk and finished with Alfred Espresso My friend got a small Iced matcha latte with oat milk - Shade-grown matcha blended with ice and water." And my sister ordered a small Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte with oak milk - Real pumpkin, single-origin spices, and a touch of rich brown sugar I was given a 24oz drink instead of a small 16oz. No complaining from me though since I did not get charged for the bigger size. The cashier was friendly and took our orders quick. We all got our drinks at different times and it had started to get really busy. We sat for a bit and left. The inside was clean and it was cutely decorated. The drinks were all really good and we will definitely be back!

Did not enjoy this experience and probably won't be back. First, the young lady at the counter was not very engaging and I felt like I was interrupting her phone scrolling. We ordered a world famous vanilla latte and it was delicious. We also ordered a vegan burrito. It was ice cold in the middle and when I asked for it to be warmed a little more, I got a feeling of annoyance from the young lady again and then, upon returning the burrito, it was so hot inside that we couldn't eat it and literally had to wait 10 minutes for it to cool down. I wanted to taste a 2 star but the food and drink did taste good and the barista was friendly when I picked up my latte. A note for the business, it would be nice if you called out a name when a drink is ready, rather than the order, as many people order similar drinks and you don't really know if it is your drink that is ready or someone else's. Again, good food and drink but service was extremely lacking.

Absolutely amazing customer service! The two gentleman working were so kind and a joy to interact with! I think Jimmy was the cashiers name. The spot is really cute, not a lot of seating but definitely a grab and go spot. My matcha tea was on point, smooth and delicious. Highly recommend!

I have mixed feelings about this Alfred Abbott Kinney location... the coffee is always great (and the other locations are wonderful), but the staff here just didn't seem very happy. I actually asked for a refund before they overcharged me, and I still haven't gotten my money back. I really didn't want to leave a bad review, but I think a warmer, friendlier vibe from the team would make such a difference. I'll try not to stop by this location for now

The coffee did live up to its hype! I have been wanting to try Alfred coffee for months, and I stopped by the Venice location this morning. The iced oat milk lavender latte did not disappoint! It was just the right amount of sweetness (2 pumps of lavender syrup) without sacrificing solid coffee flavor. I can see myself visiting this and other Alfred locations in the future since the coffee was good. Service was fine. The inside has a few tables and there is seating outside as well. Parking could be tricky since this location is right off Abbot Kinney. I was lucky this morning and found street parking. Glad to see this LA chain doing well.

"But first, coffee." Bonus points for the registered trademark. I had no idea that phrase was ®. Impressive! The cold brew was tasty and the aesthetics of the shop, very cute. The service was fine but not noteworthy. But definitely loved the decor. wish they had souvenir cups that weren't $30+.

    sugar free vanilla latte
    Michelle Z.

The sugar free vanilla latte is so good! I added cinnamon and cocoa, free of charge. Extra syrup is also free too :) I love that the coffee here is super customizable (it's so easy on the app) down to the number of espresso shots, decaf options, milk options, and more. It was the perfect pick-me-up while shopping and walking around Abbot Kinney. We went around 4pm so I was really happy to see decaf as an option. There's a small amount of seating inside, and the worker was very nice and made the drink so quickly! Would definitely come back and try more of their coffee & tea options at a more reasonable caffeine hour.

I know it's best known for its coffee but I'm not a big fan so I got the matcha latte. It tasted trash.

Coffee is good... but wow the breakfast burrito is terrible. It was burnt. Way too much tortilla. Seems like they forgot to fill it.

It's one of those spots that's worth the occasional splurge because the quality is just that good. The Spanish Latte is easily one of my favorites and a must-try if you're visiting for the first time. But if you know about the secret menu... sheeeesh. I'll have to gatekeep that one. Let's just say it's hands-down the best latte I've ever had. Perfect balance, amazing flavor notes, and one of those drinks that makes you stop and appreciate how good coffee can actually be. The atmosphere is just as great as the coffee. There are games to play, cozy corners to hang out in, and little hidden gems throughout the shop if you're paying attention. It's the kind of place where you can grab a drink and end up staying way longer than you planned. A true Venice classic and still one of the best coffee spots I've ever been to. Staff is amazing and just feels just a community, they make the experience feel incredible for just getting a coffee
